To those new here we have been doing different classifications of musical instruments.  It always ends up a very eclectic mixture of music.  Add to the mix and enjoy.

I love the sound of flutes and at one time I was quite the accomplished player.  I could play “Twinkle, Twinkle” on both the flute and the recorder.

The “sexiest” instrument?  The Saxaphone.

The always understated band Corvus Corax with their humble rendition of Dulcissima.

I have been trying to get on this thread! Finally! It is a bit slow tonight. Hi, LG!

Perhaps. Either way, it is nice to have a music thread. I do wish it was more responsive, but, in time…

Oh, this is such a cool thread!! (I’m just going enjoy the music without comment…and maybe do a bit of work with the music in the background.)

Tell you what, it is very educational hearing music you are not familiar with, and re-hearing classic stuff you haven’t heard in years.

I am sure there will screams of outrage.

Seriously, I like the panpipes, despite Carson’s critiques of the hype. From what I can see and surmise on my own, it takes a lot of skill to play those well.

I also like the oboe, as well as the non-traditional (or non-Western) woodwinds – they send chills up and down my spine.

Kitaro used quite a few of those instruments in his compositions, and I never heard a Kitaro composition that I didn’t love.

This is called an algoza, it is a double flute from Punjab and Sindh and if you get past the guy talking it’s kinda worth it.
