The Planet's Office

From high atop the PlanetPov tower, in our spacious offices, a call went out from “The Publisher” to find the news on the 2010 midterm elections that isn’t being reported by the “Big Boys.”

So in order to keep our cushy jobs, we decided to put out a call to all the intrepid and unpaid “staff” to post all the news that is in their home states and districts that isn’t being reported.

We need a final effort to GOTV and spread some sanity to the voters.  You know what and how, so let’s begin and post away.

Links, videos, articles, op-eds and your opinions and observations are all needed in these final days.

FaceBook, twitter and email any or all of the comments.

Again, this would be a good time for us to use the resources we have here on The PlanetPov

And these great thanks to PatsyT

President Bill Clinton, Saturday October 30, 2010,
    Teamsters Local 413, 555 East Rich St. Columbus, Ohio 43215, 3:45 to 5:15 p.m.

    Dear Friend,

Saturday, President Bill Clinton will join us for a special gathering near your home in support of Governor Strickland and the entire Democratic ticket.

President Clinton is coming to Ohio in the final days of this campaign because he’s committed to doing everything he can to help elect Governor Ted Strickland and the Democratic ticket. Can we count on you to join President Clinton on Saturday?

Admission is free to this event. Click here to sign up for Saturday’s gathering with President Clinton.

Of all the places the President could be in the weekend leading up to the election, we’re thankful he’s coming back to Ohio and hope you can join him.

Thanks for all of your support,

    Doug Kelly
    Executive Director
    Ohio Democratic Party

Another CREDO Action Alert. This is very important. When John Kerry lost Ohio it was a matter of less than 10 votes per polling place. Suppressing the vote by even small margins can turn elections. If I was told that was not allowed to vote or intimidated at the polling station, I would make sure my vote was cast and counted.

Subject: Tell Holder: Don’t cave to the Tea Party — protect voters’ rights.
    Dear Friend,

FOX News commentators, Republican Party operatives and the Tea Party are working conservatives into a paranoid hysteria about the non-existent issue of widespread voter fraud.

While the facts don’t support these wild-eyed accusations, the “voter fraud” hysteria leads to the intimidation and harassment of voters who are trying to exercise their basic right to vote.

It’s Attorney General Eric Holder’s job to make sure every eligible voter can vote free from intimidation or coercion. Click the link below to urge Holder to take action and protect voters’ rights.

Did you hear about the Rand Paul supporter stomping on the head of a woman from Moveon.org? Ugh!

    • bitohistory says:

Has anyone seen “American History X”? In the first part there is a scene of a “curb stomp.” That is what went through my head when I first watched this frightening video.

Watching MSNBC talk about this on various shows. Not one show has a someone from Move-On or anyone who was there at the time, instead they ask their regular Rola-Dex pundits about it. “let’s go to ‘blah-blah’ in NYC at Politico….” That’s news, folks!

Considering she just got goosestepped on, she had a lot more composure than I would have had when interviewed later.
