You write, that perhaps it “isn’t exactly racism”, and to that I would opine that it IS racism, but not the kind that is outraged by the fact that a person of color is in the, to some, Whites Only House. There are degrees of racism, and at the extreme end is hatred, and the absolute certainty that one race is superior to the other. Although this is possible with any racist (as we can’t know all that they are thinking), it is not a conclusion to jump to about someone like Reid.
