It’s insane. And these same people wonder how the contuds got into power. WE put them there with our refusal to fight the meme.

Unless you marry her. ;p

I pity my ex. The first one, anyway.

How about Ganesh?

» Posted By deygirl On February 18, 2011 @ 9:15 am

LOL

A bitch thread. We can call it “rag rage.”

Oh, chase, leave it to you to add sweetness to that stirred pot!

Truthfully, my hope is that remembering our beginnings will help us get back to them. The bitterness is still lingering in some of the posts (mine included.) But, as in divorce, we need to remember that we didn’t always hate, and temper our diappointment with the memory of the initial joy and hope.

(I saw your schmaltz and raised you a Pollyanna)

Morning, Abby! What bugs me is that she’s still holding some of my favorite people hostage. I wonder if she put them in the same room with the raptured comments? What I would give to have access tO THOSE!

Faving was a great way to give a quick pat on the back, wasn’t it?

» Posted By deygirl On February 18, 2011 @ 8:01 am

@Truth–

What if we set up a joint email, where more than one person (YOU in particular–you are a dynamo!)can access? That way the thing is truly collaborative, and it is less likely to stray into a joint bitch session.

I think adlib could fix something up for us… a fake addy that directs to a real one.

During the healthcare debate, one of the banned words was “sick.”

Hmmmmm…..wonder where she stood on THAT issue?

(And where in the hell did the page go while I was typing that?????)

I don’t think any of us were fooled by the queen. I, for one, knew it was about money for her, but as long as we had a place to “speak,” I was okay with it.

I always said that the truth and information was in the comments section, if you knew which ones to read. What was pathetic was when the articles became a “fact-search,” and the headlines became mere misdirection.

I was thinking, “my second marriage.”

» Posted By deygirl On February 17, 2011 @ 8:41 pm

I love you back, chase.

I still go there. None of my posts stick, though. πŸ™

I hear you. I still miss the posters, though,

Thanks Sue! Hume was the gold standard, wasn’t he?

Worth sharing….”The Disease called ‘Perfection’ “

That’s why I don’t post anymore. ;p

» Posted By deygirl On February 16, 2011 @ 10:09 am

While physical perfection is,indeed, a problem, what about the false promotion of character perfection?

I was not a perfect mother. Or wife. Or employee (still not). Or blog poster. I am a failure at being a cheerful and selfless provider for my mother. (Half the time I just want to strangle her or at least stuff a sock in her mouth when she “helps” me fix her stuff.)

This is the first post I have made here in more than a week, and I fear that I am not deep enough or “grown up” enough to pass muster. (I LIKE one-liners. I LIKE to try to make people laugh.)

It is the non-physical aspirations of perfection that paralyze and kill, because there is no picture to copy or mirror that tells you you’ve gotten close enough. You just keep trying ….and failing. THAT is what keeps the makers of antidepressants rich.

HOLY SHIT! She’s a Rajneeshi? My home town was the county seat of the area they tried to take over!

I’m an Oregonian who happened to find Corner Gas when it briefly graced our airwaves.

thanks for the kind words. πŸ™‚

Gotta go to work, so remind me, kay? I’ll be under my bed. Throw a spider after me, should scare me out of there in a big effing hurry.

» Posted By deygirl On February 17, 2011 @ 10:36 am

She is drop-dead gorgeous. How effing unfair that there’s no eye candy for us straight gals?

» Posted By deygirl On February 17, 2011 @ 10:25 am

I’ll give it a go if nobody else wants to.

But under my bed is “base” if I screw it up.

Looks like I’ve found a sunny beach to relax on, here.

I miss when my son lived with me and could spell me. Since my siblings are “too busy” to pitch in, I sometimes feel overwhelmed. That’s when I pitch a good tantrum (I quit! I’m to old! I’m too little! It’s not FAIR!) and get back in the trenches.

You guys have been my salvation.

Where in India? My dad was from Nagpur. My mother (who is white) attributes all of my idiosyncrasies to my Bengali genes. πŸ˜‰

I’m just wicked that way. πŸ˜‰
