Displaying 211 To 240 Of 280 Comments The Deficit of Truth About Obama’s Budget And they don’t vote that way because of the label. Skull and crossbones 101. And catch 22. The Gopers have successfully poisoned the well. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 3:34 pm Budget, Deficits, the Debt and the lies from the right Absolutely correct! Including the attempted privatization of our education system which will lead us into increased class divisions, defund public education, and accelerate our already rapid decline into third world status. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 12:49 pm An absolutely wonderful article Abby! Very accurate and well researched. The only means to get the word out to for most American voters is through our corporate owned MSM – which of course, won’t touch the truth, notwithstanding the reality that most voters refuse to endure more than simple content-free soundbites anyway. Your persuasive argument reminds me of Moyers. Retired and much missed. And the Gopers are still relentless trying to defund NPR and PBS. How do we fight back? » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 12:37 pm Bill Maher’s Big Lie Contribution? Chern! It would probably take days to copy and paste all of your comments down in a word doc, but might be a great move! Your treasure trove shouldn’t be lost. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 1:42 pm I also had the same thoughts but in a public forum would hope to have the political savvy to realize the fallout from giving voice to it. Our right wing creates enough false fodder and we definitely don’t live in the times of Adams, Adams 2, Fillmore, or Taft do we? π » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 1:28 pm The American people have Spoken … Maybe In my lifetime we’ve seen civil rights legislation pass, EPA standards increased, equal pay legislation, the recent nascent beginnings of health coverage, and much more. These all were later strengthened, and of course, without vigilance, will all wither. My democratic party has never been perfect but it has been the only viable agent of positive change. There is a difference between the parties, and our work from the ground roots level on up give us the power to pick those who show up on the primary ballots. It always has and always will be a huge struggle. And I deeply regret my only third party vote which was for Nader. We got Bush. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 2:48 pm I was there this morning and was logged on trying to staunch the bleeding. Fruitless! Glad to be here! π Hope to see more posters online at the same time. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 2:31 pm X2!! And Rich Misty!! Two more high caliber knowledgeable posters! » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 11:19 am Hah!!! Your irony is actually too close to the truth! Love the oversized frowny-faced Obama photo as the lead-in. Yellow journalism at its finest!! » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 11:14 am Spot on! And trying to correct misinformation with flying posts is fruitless! Williamg was still there trying along with a few other posters, but I logged out and came here. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 11:07 am I’m lazy! And with you posting them, we’ll have some real meat to chew on! » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:45 am It’s bizarre! We’ve been so conditioned, it’s almost subversive to actually type what we think. π » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:44 am Hmmm. So can I lift stuff off of other sites for information? » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:43 am Any political articles on the same vein here? I’m starved for intelligent discussions on the new budget proposals. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:42 am Hi escribacat! Any political articles here in the same vein? I can’t seem to find any. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:40 am Again absolutely frustrated with HP in its latest main – Obama spending cuts: The lead-in is the obligatory over-sized frowny-faced Obama photo and is followed with cherry picked contents which are, of course, inaccurate and incomplete. Which, of course, leads to a bunch of misinformed ignorant comments. We HP refugees who post here will have to get used to the freedom of using the full range of our vocabularies again won’t we? » Posted By cyrano1 On February 14, 2011 @ 10:36 am Me too. Just have to figure it out better. I’ll use Chern’s link. » Posted By cyrano1 On February 13, 2011 @ 9:23 pm Hi aimeehogan8! I just got here myself.
