If the shoe fits, she be the first to wear it…you betcha’. Oh, and let’s not forget all of her hand holdin’, sympathetic partnerz in crime. All of them should be skippin’ the regular underwears and headin’ straight for the disposables aisle. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 10, 2011 @ 12:09 pm I would have given up my bonus to fire Juan Williams; one can only play both sides of the street before one falls in the gutter. And, Michael Moore? He has it right. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 9, 2011 @ 10:42 am Welcome KBinIA, You, my friend, will find the Planet a place where one can speak freely — respectfully and nonviolently — without exception. Unfortunately, and I assume much to her dismay, Ms. Palin can not claim sole ownership. Many of her Fox “colleagues” and, seriously, other MSM outlets bought the ticket long before President Obama moved into the WH. Each and every one of them has contributed, one way or another, to this tragic event; the SCOTUS ain’t off the hook on this one either. I have always believed hate-filled rhetoric, whether written or spoken, would at some point become a self-fulfilling prophecy. I sincerely believe each and every one of the morons spewing such vitriol, Beck, Palin, O’Reilly, Hannity, Limpballs, and any other RW idiot? Each and everyone of the assholes has blood on his/her hands for this one and everything leading up to it. The new majority in the House AND Mitch McConnell in the Senate, ain’t off the hook on this one either. Those who do not REPUDIATE such behavior are just as guilty as the perpetrator. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 9, 2011 @ 10:38 am No need to read them. This country has some deeply disturbed squirrels. If only they knew they were being used for their scary sickness and lack of being informed. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 8, 2011 @ 5:01 pm Patsy…mine are mail order. 😉 » Posted By boomer1949 On January 8, 2011 @ 4:54 pm Blue dog, red dog, purple dog, black dog, white dog, or whatever-color-dog. Makes no difference and it really irks me these Yahoos lack anything other than a “ratings attitude” about such a tragedy. A reporter, on-air-personality, or FAUX journalist lacking the true meaning of his profession should not be provided a soap box, much less the opportunity to pretend to be something he/she is not. All of this shit has been brewing for quite awhile, has only been a matter of time, and finally someone bought the ticket. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 8, 2011 @ 4:52 pm Any unstable person, with the inability to think and discern on his own, is forever doomed; inevitably influenced by those proclaiming to “know” better. I offer no excuses or rationale for this kid; and as far as I am concerned being 22 years old is a child, seriously a child, compared to my 62 years on this earth. That said… the Tea Potty People, the far RW GOP, the Boehners, the Cantors, the McConnells, the Palins, and those choosing to stir the proverbial pot are just as responsible(if not more so)as this young man. Preach, preach, preach; gnaw, gnaw, gnaw; Jim Jones’ seduction, rarely falls on deaf ears. Jim Jones, the MConnells, the Boehners, the Cantors, the Palins, would not survive were it not for the weak and easily manipulated. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 8, 2011 @ 4:36 pm Even though my rent is due, I’ll bet my next paycheck, Gov. With all due respect Marion, This country is not the same country you left, 20, 25, 30 years ago and neither are its people. One of the most important aspects of being an American, is to actually live, eat, sleep, breathe, and experience what one could call This American Life. Please explain how one can legitimately defend what one no longer lives? » Posted By boomer1949 On January 6, 2011 @ 2:52 am Khirad, There is a serious disconnect between “the American People” and “the Armchair American People.” » Posted By boomer1949 On January 4, 2011 @ 2:42 pm 😆 Although, neither did mine…I was the one making breakfast and too young for pearls! » Posted By boomer1949 On January 4, 2011 @ 2:35 pm …or stir her pot…! More could be said, but “Jr. June” does not want to be sent to “time out.” » Posted By boomer1949 On January 4, 2011 @ 2:14 pm But, but I got my “Jr. June Cleaver” badge back in the day…I do have a conscience, might not be all that social, but at least I have one…I have never had a latte, can not stand Chablis(too sweet — does Merlot count?), and the closest we ever came to an uppity college was one of the daughters was wait listed at Boston College. Oops, it is not considered Ivy League is it? Sorry, it was the darn reference to June Cleaver that pushed me over the edge! 😉

» Posted By boomer1949 On January 4, 2011 @ 2:19 am Maybe Some People Need to Seriously Think about Going to Church Questinia, and with all due respect Doc…I am not you. I have neither your education nor your experience. I am, however, someone who has been around for a very, very long time and, although I am not a shrink, I majored in Psychology in college, and if not for numerous and, as some would say, my short-sighted choices, resulting children excluded, would be walking in your shoes and sitting in your chair. Sure as hell would beat trying to survive on $32,000/year and an ex-husband “surviving” at 3-4 times that. I own my wouldas’, couldas’, and shouldas’ — no one else does — I do not expect them to. That said, I go back to my original “first impression” of the man, Julian Assange. Each and every step of the way based, totally on his demeanor, unresponsiveness, lack of eye contact, and yes, creepiness. If I were being accused of rape, I would want to prove my innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt. However, this man is fighting extradition, the opportunity to nullify the charges against him. Moreover, unless he can prove the Wiki Leaks crap is directly related to the rape charges, this is a no brainer. Wiki Leaks is one issue, the rape charges are another. Let the chips fall where they may, and if the heat is overwhelming, then maybe Sir AJ should have stayed out of the kitchen. PS — I probably would’ve been a failure as a shrink. I don’t beat around the bush and, if your eyes give you away, you’re dead meat in mine. Moreover, since I tend to write as my “true” self, I am easily identifiable to those who know me best, and I can not fake them out. Each of us is coming at this from a different perspective (professional, personal, or otherwise). All of us may be correct, yet none of us may have a clue. All is speculation and conjecture…only the players (Sir AJ and his accusers) know the real truth of the matter. The rest of us are — duh — what? Wiki Leaks and the rape charges are entirely separate issues — or at least they SHOULD be. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 1, 2011 @ 6:35 pm Well, to begin with, I believe you have a much greater insight into what makes most of us tick, including “Sir AJ.” That said, and IMO, if this guy were a citizen of the United States and had not relied solely on an enlisted Pfc. for information, then I might cut him some slack. However, it seems to me, Assange is nothing more than an opportunist, hell bent for making a name for himself, regardless of the collateral damage. His history is nomadic, no specific address, no place to call home, no family per say, almost like “one of our own” assuming a different identity. Nevertheless, any woman (myself included, and I’m not that much to write home about) in the world has a right to say “No” to whatever, whenever, regardless of the circumstances. If the “No” falls on the deaf ears of the accused, then the one owning the ears should be required to face the music. Crying foul and fighting extradition screams, IMO, something to hide. If one has nothing to hide, then one has nothing to hide; going to court in Sweden should just be a formality. Sorry y’all…he is creepy, creepy, creepy. » Posted By boomer1949 On January 1, 2011 @ 12:24 pm HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY MR. TO/OT!! THANK YOU!! Congratulations bito!!

Mark Your Calendar– 1-5-2011 Yes, I know what time it is, and I am far beyond my “sleepy bye” time, but seriously dissing all the Constitutional arguments, whinigs, and blah, blah blahs, the entire institution needs to be 1) reevaluated, 2)taken down a notch or two, preferably at the knees mind you, 3)forced, and I mean FORCED to vote as representatives of their constituents, and forced, and I mean FORCED to set aside “personal and party” ideology; not theirs to choose. » Posted By boomer1949 On December 26, 2010 @ 12:25 am Cher, Which is, and always has been, their goal. Kasich was my Congressional Representative for umpteen years; although a registered Democrat, I voted for him each and every time he was up for election. Why? Because I believed he was the best person to send to Washington to represent me. Since then, however, his parents died, he learned how to lobby, he had money waved under his nose, he had an affair with Lehman Brothers, and went from the son of a postal worker to a Evangelical Christian (which will not be found on his CV). All I can say is the John Kasich I supported in the past, no longer exists. Guess he sold his soul to the Devil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kasich » Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2011 @ 7:08 pm Ewww, and Michelle Rhee has a “hot date” with Governor John R. Kasich (OHIO) this evening for a public showing of “Waiting for Superman”. John Boy is not good, and his history with Lehman Brothers should be enough proof. Unfortunately, there are those in my {{{shudder}}} state who could be convinced ET is/was real. Seriously, it’s embarrassing. » Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2011 @ 6:59 pm bito, And this is why my kid, a nine year veteran Kindergarten educator, teaching in a poverty stricken, rural community in Governor John R. Kasich’s OHIO, is a Spring Quarter guest lecturer @ The Ohio State University. There is only so much that can be taught by reading a book; learning from one with first-hand experience is often the best education. » Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2011 @ 6:53 pm Shame, shame, shame…on the Ohio Senate, the Ohio House, and ultimately Governor John R.
