They had a shot of a buffalo being shot and killed. He said that they set up in the wee hours, waited many hours, a vet finally shot the bison with a sedative and they filmed for until the he fell. they had to stay until the bison was revived and on it’s way. pack up and packout in freezing weather in 3-4 ft snow, all for a 10-15 second shot. 12 hrs. for 15 secs. » Posted By bito On December 23, 2009 @ 8:38 pm I haven’t gone to and don’t go to HP for many months. Why did not President Obama not appoint a better Senate and House? Did he rally pick all those “contrarian/regressive” Republicans? Why? If he was really that smart, should he have not done better than those choices? Each comment brings back ten more things that are warm memories. (my brother has called me twice since I started this comment π ) » Posted By bito On December 24, 2009 @ 2:23 pm Cher, thanks! those are some good memories. My sisters had some of those dolls: Betsy Wetsy- a trainer for all mothers to be? Chatty Cathy should have been de-voiced. Some evil person developed that doll. If my sisters pulled that sting one more time….. That doll with the four faces, I had completely forgotten about that one. That was one strange doll. I played with that one a few times I think I was fascinated by it. http://www.skooldays.com/ » Posted By bito On December 24, 2009 @ 2:00 pm j’avaz, And Merry Christmas to you and yours. » Posted By bito On December 24, 2009 @ 1:37 pm j’avaz, I vaguely remembered Colorforms. “Miss Weather was just the beginning. Soon, characters like Popeye and Sleeping Beauty, familiar to kids from books and television, found their way into the Colorform sets.” Which set did you have? » Posted By bito On December 24, 2009 @ 1:15 pm » Posted By bito On December 24, 2009 @ 12:52 pm It is well past my “meds and bed” time. We got one with maybe 3 45’s. One was (I think) Roy Rogers-Gene Autry and “Happy Trails.” My sisters and I played that one song so much my Mother was “forced” into buying us a few more children records. She was going batty in that little house, over and over and over! π » Posted By bito On December 23, 2009 @ 4:37 pmComments Posted By bito

Joyous Jul
Then they were accused of shooting and killing a national symbol!! lol

I will have to reread this a dozen times to find something I disagree within your excellent post!!
Great Job. And this will be saved and forwarded.
I will never vote for him again!!
Anyway, she would make outfits for my sisters Barbies out of the scraps. Those dolls were dressed in some of the finest material any Barbie ever had. Hell, they had real mink/ermine coats! π
I will talk to my sister tomorrow. I WILL ask her about that doll.
Congats on your anniversary.
My brother and I are speculating if his bike is in Mexico by now. I say it will go across the border after Christmas, disguised as a present in the back of a pick-up. π
Do you remember the name of that doll with the four faces? I wanted to see if I could find it but I have no idea what it was called.
When my father was dying of cancer years ago, he got in this habit of saying “every day is a good day.” We have to value each day, no matter how hard/bad of a day it may seem at the time. I think I got a dose of that when the doc said to me I had stage IV cancer. π
Thanks for sharing with us.
Tiger left this link for us. It is fun to look at and remember some of these toys.
