It is ridiculous Patsy, C-Span2 is also covering the presser, a presser to say “I’m not going to do something.”

I’m now watching an infomercial on a new fishing lure–I don’t fish. 😉

Tired of seeing all those dirty hippies on TV re: #OWS? Tomorrow may see a change. As has been noted organized labor has joined and now some community groups are are joining. This may be interesting:

A Leading Figure In The New Apostolic Reformation

On Fresh Air, Wagner joins Terry Gross for a discussion about NAR and its mission.

Among the topics discussed on Monday’s show are: Wagner’s explanation about a recent video that has been shown on television in which he claims the emperor of Japan had sex with the sun goddess, a power of darkness headed by the kingdom of Satan, and how that resulted in the decline of the Japanese stock market; how demons figure into the belief structure of NAR; the role of prophets and apostles within NAR; what Wagner means when he describes the NAR’s mission as taking dominion over business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, family and religion; how he felt when he found out that Ted Haggard, his World Prayer Center co-founder, had used drugs and had sex with men; spiritual mapping; and the role of Jews and Israel in preparing for the second coming.

“With rights come responsibilities.”
Or maybe not for some.

Anti-Muslim Activist Delivers Call to ‘Burn All the Mosques’
and much more!

Few are as capable of such venomous anti-Muslim sentiment as John Joseph Jay, a comrade in arms with Pamela Geller and a board member of the anti-Muslim group Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA). Where others stop short of calling for violence, Jay bounds ever forward.

[…]

He called for the burning of every mosque in America and “tak[ing] out incumbent leadership of both parties in the congress.” He also endorsed immediately deporting every Muslim in America and burning the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post.

Kalima, It took me awhile to find the story on what he said, I saw the story of him getting fired first. 😉
Him getting fired is a bigger story than what he said, it seems.

Is Sister S’arah paling around with pals that trade with the enemy? “Palling around with terrorists?”

Profits from the Koch Brothers’ Iranian Treason Pay Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck

Bloomberg revealed the deaths, bribes, felony charges, envelopes stuffed with cash, criminal violations, deliberate poisoning of the air with cancerous smoke, and hundreds of millions of fines behind the Koch Brothers. They revealed that employees are taught to cheat and steal under “The Koch Method.” Oh, and the Kochs sold millions of dollars in petrochemical equipment to Iran, a country recognized for sponsoring terrorism but also one of three countries in the George W Bush identified “Axis of Evil.”

It’s ironic that Sarah Palin, whom the Koch brothers money paid to speak on behalf of the “Tea Party,” has accused President Obama of “palling around with terrorists.” See, the money from those petrochemical sales funded Americans for Prosperity which funds the Tea Party which pays people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck to speak. David Koch is in fact the founder of Americans for Prosperity. This money trail is no longer murky.

[…]

The unholy alliance between the Koch Brothers, the Tea Party and conservative “personalities” is funded in part by the shady secret sales of petrochemical equipment to Iran. These are the same Right wing personalities who make a lot of money selling “small government”, hatred of Muslims, a disturbingly devoid of patriotism version of nationalism, and unfettered markets.

The Kochs are not good people, but we knew that when we realized the Koch brothers inherited not just an oil company from their father, but also his affinity for the John Birch society. Utilizing a corporate culture of lawlessness in order to achieve unfathomable wealth, the Koch Brothers have been pushing for an even smaller government; ie, less regulations for them to have to lie cheat and steal their way around.

Sadly you’re right, KQ,
TPGOP -1, Country -1. It may a tie, but both lose. Punish the country to put one man out of a job.

Leader Reid said today that the Senate will bring it up this month.

funk, two articles I put up some time ago before I saw this report was one saying that they also employ more than the oil exploration companies.

Another was that the US actually had a trade surplus with China on selling them PV panels. (two months ago-latest figures available.)
sorry, no links.

‘Mean’ while:

Majority Leader Cantor Says Obama Jobs Plan Won’t Receive A Vote On The House Floor | Several news outlets are reporting that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) said the GOP will not bring President Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan to a vote on the House floor. The administration has been asking for a vote on the bill this month. Last week, economists surveyed by Bloomberg News said that the plan could help prevent a double-dip recession.

k’es it was an astounding amount of alcohol that was consumed, it just about gave me a hangover just thinking about it.

I didn’t get to watch much of it but I do agree with your all-or-nothing approach was probably not the best.

I don’t know if this was covered in it, but in a different doc I watched it was this heavy handed approach that gave rise to the Capone type gangs. Before the Feds strict enforcement it was mostly mom and pop bootlegging and smuggling. Seems some of those mom and pops lived on the Great Lakes and would smuggle by boats from Canada. I’m sure that never happened in Northern Ohio, eh? 😉

I posted a link to an article on the Koch’s breaking the laws of the US and France about their dealings with Iran. It was a “leak” earlier” on a Bloomberg story, and we questioned it’s veracity.

Seems it not a question any longer. Bloomberg has released some of it on their own:

Koch Brothers Flout Law Getting Richer With Secret Iran Sales
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-02/koch-brothers-flout-law-getting-richer-with-secret-iran-sales.html

This is just but one of many articles breaking on the story. Please check the twitter widget and perhaps Kalima may have some news in her MB that is breaking.

Stay tuned, as they say.

I’m watching the new documentary by Ken Burns on the Prohibition and I just heard this line: (I paraphrase) “The Baptists and Presbyterians were for prohibition, the Lutherans were against it. The Lutherans drank openly and praised God privately, the Baptists and Presbyterians praised God openly and drank secretively”
I found that hilarious and true. (Oh, BTW, I was raised in a Swedish/German Lutheran home and church, and lived in a Swedish ‘ghetto’) 😆 😆

And I thought the Swedish Mafia was just a fable. 🙂

Chris Christie is part of the the ADD riddled brains of of the MSM. His girth would shrink to that of a Kenyan marathon runner to any GOPTP primary voter after any scrutiny from the MSM. He may be a wish and a prayer for Karl Rove and the establishment GOP, but that is all, a wish.
Taft was overweight, blustery and a Republican, Taft he ain’t!

AB, word is he wants an apology from all the people water boarded, those tortured at Gitmo and released and the US/Canadian citizens that were tortured in foreign countries under his “exceptional rendition” policies. He also want an extra special apology from all the innocent Afghans that were put in Gitmo with zero charges (for years) and their families.
I am not a big believer of people being born being evil, but he may be an exception. If I learned he tortured small animals (for profit) as a child, it would not surprise me in the least.
As the saying goes, I find him soulless and below contempt.
Forgive me, I wish him nor anyone harm or bad fortune, but I sure as hell am not wishing him any good luck! He is a sick, sad, sad person.

Say quick hello to The Blov, the Pup and the kids for me, wishing you all well, dear friend.

Em, I can almost hear the spin now if the DoJ does start an investigation: Obam’s picking on our “job creators” just because they happen to support conservative causes.
But, OH ,yes Please, Please, Please…

Call out the National Guard? Huh? Say what?

Christie Avoids the Media

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is staying away from news reporters as he mulls making a presidential bid.

At an event today, the AP reports “two dozen national and local news reporters were escorted to a roped-off area 50 feet away from the stage where Christie spoke. The usually talkative Christie left the event without talking to the press, who were not allowed to leave until after he was out of sight. National Guard soldiers were instructed to kept media and all attendees cordoned off as Christie exited.”

Wall Street Journal: “Guards could be overheard telling each other to make sure the press are blocked from pursuing the governor when he leaves.”
