I think as SOS she did have her hands tied a bit. Not so much here in the US but rather in other nations that are “religiously” against same sex marriage and the LGBT community. I think she would have had a tough time with diplomatic relations had they known her feelings. I would think she has never been against it but I don’t know for sure.
No I did not see it on TV. I cannot remember where I got the link but I read the whole thing real fast. I have a special affinity for it because of my opposition to the war and how much I hated Tricky Dick. I doubt I even disliked Bush as much.
Who is the US Attorney you are referring to? I don’t always keep up on the state level in that arena.
I am very sorry for your family’s loss. We have had our share of young adults dying in my circle of family and friends and I know how heartbreaking it is. My best friend from HS’s daughter is going through colon cancer right now and I know when I heard she was sick, it hit me like you said – a ton of bricks. The mystery of death and why it takes some and not others is frustrating to me, especially when I look at the mean people in this world. Call on your family and friends when you need it, that is what they are there for, you know? And that includes the Planet for sure.
I totally agree with you and I am prob over-reacting but damn just to let it go is almost like a right winger – running on to the next crisis. Some closure please. Hmmm maybe I should write a piece on this.
