When did Presidents start ending every speach with “God Bless and God Bless the United States of America”. I have watched old speaches by Kennedy, Nixon, and Carter and they always ended with “Thank you and good night.” Was it Reagan?

I would appreciate that, AdLib. I watched a movie on cable today about Carter and learned I don’t know much about that. Israel gets the most attention here but Carter was pointing out several things I didn’t know about Palestine.

What would happen if someone said that I won’t let religion influence me in making decissions for our nation? I will make decissions in the best interest of the country and all its people regardless of their religion.
