It’s also about campaign finance or the lack thereof. Unions by and large support Democrats. In the last election only 3 unions were among the top 10 largest contributors. If unions can be eliminated than the Republicans will receive the largest share of funding for their campaigns. The only way Democrats can compete will be with funds from individual and smaller groups. But it won’t be a real competition, because they will not come close to the millions that corporations are and will continue to give to Repubs. Walker won by 5%. He received millions for campaign ad on TV. According to him unions have lost about 600,000 workers in the last couple of years. Union workers tend to vote for Dems. In addition, fewer union members mean less funds for campaign contributions. We are already at a disadvantage thanks to the SCOTUS. I was brought up in a two parent home and we were lower middle class. CNN allows people (usually Repubs) to say anything and rarely calls them out on the lies. Their mantra seems to be “we report, you decide”. The problem, as I see it with the MSM is that they are not concerned with “truth” anymore. It is in fact, “we report, you decide”.
