Roll up a rock and take a seat by the fire… Coffee’s over there somewhere… For a quick rundown on stuff in general, see the FAQ tab all the way up top, and see ➡Tips for Newcomers. To decompress or vent about issues you had behind the Huffington Curtain, check ➡Everything From “There” Belongs “Here”. The Help Desk button is over there on the right side of the panel (big red button, strangely labeled Help). And the OT Post thread is right there too, for anything Off Topic you want to share. They call them “Kitlers.” » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 1:02 pm Maggie looks every time the WC is flushed. Glad I don’t have a handle she can use! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 1:00 pm Cleo- They are just jealous as hell that the First Lady is all the things they are not. At least that’s MY take on it. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:55 pm Of course, my all-time favorite cat video:
» Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:53 pm ADONAI- And they never go easy, do they? » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:51 pm HH- I’ve BEEN to that web site… can’t remember which one… LOL » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:34 pm Buddy- Now THAT is kewl! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:32 pm Oh, and she knows her way home, now, from anywhere in the complex. Peace of mind. Although, she is no longer that interested in bolting out the door. She knows she can badger me into a walk any time she wants! PW » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:15 pm Buddy- I have been a dog person all my life. And when I got this cat, I thought how limiting it would be to be stuck behind the walls of an apartment forever. I think it makes animals a little crazy. Plus, I know how cats (and dogs) like to bolt out that open door. If they run off a ways, how can they find their way home, never having seen the ‘hood, so to speak? So, I started with just the harness. She would just stand there with big eyes… WTF?!?!?!? Then, I walked her outside the door on a leash, no more than 10 or 15 feet outside the door a few times. Then around the building. She discovered birds and squirres to chase, new smells, leaf mulch to do her business in, woods, people, a whole new world. Now, I rarely even hook her up. I only leash her when we are near something dangerous or where I can’t easily follow. We go out for our patrols twice a day now, an hour or so at a time. Lots of meandering with cats, at a very slow pace. PW » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:14 pm kes – Her harness and leash are behind the jackets there, hanging on a peg, and she knows where they are. When she wants to go for her walkies, she tries to get them. Not dumb, this cat. PW » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 12:05 pm Sabreen- B…b.b…b.b…b.b..bbbb…..but, it’s always all about US! PW » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 10:59 am boomer – Maybe we could form a club! Of course, no one would ever attend, but it would be easy to stay organized! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 9:07 am BDM – I am primarily a loner. I am comfortable being by myself and with myself, which is very different from being “lonely.” The reason I bring it up is one reason I am that way is that people, almost without fail, dissappoint me at some time or another. I consider it a personal failing of mine that I have a hard time dealing with people that do not measure up to their ‘advertising.’ They say they are this way or that, act like they are this way or that, and somewhere along the way, are not any of those things. Point is, I wish it were otherwise sometimes. If you can find a way to move past Bob’s “moment,” it’s probably better. Take it from someone who knows. PW » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 7:13 am M’woof – The first actual out loud laugh of the day! Newfies are a breed unto themselves! I spent a lot of time in Canada a few years back building paper mills, and Newfoundland was an experience! I never did ‘get’ the half-hour time difference, though. I came to accept it, much like sections of southern Indiana that doesn’t ‘do’ Daylight Savings… The way I look at it, these are the “raisins in the oatmeal” that make life interesting and sometimes maddening, but every once in a while magical. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 16, 2011 @ 7:05 am @ALL – It’s midnight… time for me to turn into a bumpkin… er … pumpkin! ‘Nighters! 8) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 9:53 pm @Khirad: Holy Chit! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 9:17 pm ➡ HH – Who’s winning? I have always been told to keep ’em wanting more! Business ain’t Gone With the Wind, but my series may be just as long! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 7:38 pm Whew! Back from 2.5hrs of furious typing to post Part 5. What did I miss? LOL » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 7:23 pm KT – I enlisted in the US Army in 1970 and was dragooned into the US Army Security Agency. Turns out that’s the NSA. I had to sign up for 6 years to get the training. After 2 years of non-stop electronics training, they made me an instructor and a Warrant Officer so I could teach advanced electronics to foreign nationals and get into little unknown places like embassies and the White House and stuff like that. When PCs started coming into the market in the early 80’s well, I was there. So, I’ve seen all this literally from before the year Zero, PC. 8) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 4:22 pm chase – find “Dashboard” over on the right panel and go there. Find “Media” then “Add” Upload an image into the site library. When you make a comment, below the “Submit” button, you’ll see a place to click to add an image to your comment. click that and paste the URL of your image into the box, and that’s it. A little convoluted, but once or twice, and it’s no biggie. *** EDIT *** This is for using an image that’s on your own hard drive. 8) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 15, 2011 @ 2:47 pmComments Posted By PocketWatch
