After reviewing the 3rd in this series, I am very angry at just how the Mainichi and the Japanese press is attempting to continue coverup the scale of every aspect of what is happening at Fukushima. Part 3 is fluff compared to what could be published. In a recent German investigative piece, those journalists snuck into the temp worker camp and were able to get statements from workers that they were forced to waive future benefits for increased pay, that the workers were not being told where hot spots were, how Tepco had used sub-contractors used to do all the dirty work and that at least 18,000 workers had been used far. Furthermore, in the NRC’s FOIA includes unconfirmed news of the death of 5 workers from radiation exposure during the early days of the accident. There are very likely a large number of Kamikaze workers who have volunteered to take off their radiation badges, or in effect die for the nuclear industry.
