Thanks Kalima, the problem with the F-35 is that they are trying to make the same plane do all the different jobs that several are doing now. It is not working. The defense department wastes so much money. Lobbyists for different “contractors” keep the spending going.

All that money could be put to much better use.

Hi Kes, thanks for the reply. Yes we could and should have had a “sunset” date attached to the corporate farm subsidies. As for defense spending, we could cut it in half and still have the biggest military on this earth!

I would use the savings to repair and replace our infrastructure which would create jobs, lots of them. Then we would have fewer poor folks to help and be able to help them with no problems.

The Brutal Politics of 10 Year Old Girls’ Softball Teams

Ad, this article makes me proud of my granddaughter and her parents. She tries hard. She is not the best on the team but not the worst either. Her parents go to the games and help with practices and cheer for all the girls on the team.

I guess that is proof positive that they are not Tea Potty people, huh?

Miles,if you have read all my posts you know I grew up an army brat. I also served my two years in the army. Those 21 years of my life taught me to be color blind when it comes to race. The army in my lifetime has been integrated. I grew up with blacks, Japanese Americans, brown people from Central America and Europeans and Koreans and I even had Syrian friends . To me we are all human!

I don’t know where you get the idea that I thought the police had any justification for choking Mr. Garner. I never said that and it is the furthest thing from my mind.

To all my friends here, I want you to know that I am not a racist. I am disgusted with racist people especially cops. My point is just that we see a video (disgusting and vile) is not a complete video of the entire ordeal. From what I have read the victim was accused of selling cigarettes. If that is true and I have little doubt that it is, then what we saw was way over the top. The policeman who was choking Mr. Garner was wrong and should be held accountable. The others seemed to me to be out of line for the offense Mr. Garner was accused of.
They were wrong and he is dead. It is sad, wrong, and unfortunate at a best.
I’ll leave it there.

Miles, I’m not condoning anything I saw in the video. In fact, I find it disgusting. But I have seen videos that showed only part of what happened.
I don’t ignore history, I like to learn from it.
It will probably turn out that the police were wrong and I’ll be glad of it. I just do not want to jump to conclusions.

KT, it sure looks incriminating, yes. But sometimes more information comes out later to explain what looks self evident and refutes it.
I’m not saying they were right to subdue him the way they did. I’m saying we have to get more information. The last thing we need is a war between the police and citizens.
