Note to Police, Their Unions and The GOP: Blaming All Black People and Their Supporters for a Murder is Racist

The cop killer was deranged, as you said. Killing cops sitting in their car is dispicable, premeditated and wrong on so many levals. Both of the policemen were family men from what I have heard and read. It was senseless! It is also senseless to blame the protesters of the killing of unarmed young black men and children.

Ad, thanks for the article. it makes good points that need to be made. This is a time when people are supposed to show love for oneanother, not be killing those who protect and serve.

Kalima, just yesterday a pair of Jahovas Witness folks came to my door. I was politeand civil, but let them know their beliefs do not coinside with mine. I don’t push my faith on others and don’t want theirs pushed on me. I said ” I have my own beliefs and Jesus is my God. I wish you a Merry Christmas and ask that you don’t waste your time coming here in the future”.

Like I said I feel closer to God when I am out in the woods.

I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and pray for a healthy and happy new year.

CD, it is time , infact overdue for a change and President Obama is making a change. I think it is a good change.

Remember that definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. That does make me think of the republicans. They want to continue doing the same thing and expect a different result.

They don’t care about the Cuban people who struggle to make a living. They only care that Obama did it. If he did it they are against it. Simple as that.

Thank you CL. I remember that part of our history, I lived it. I also remember Pope John XXIII. To me Pope Francis is living more like Christ wanted people to than any other Pope , ever. I love that he cares for the regular folks.

Ad, I think this move will help the Cuban people to live a better life. They have been repressed for so long and live in the old ways. They have only to get a taste of modern life and they will demand that their government make changes for the better.
I see a bright future ahead for both Cuba and the USA.

Thanks Kes. Instead of following the failed policies that never worked in 54 years, President Obama has tried something that is new, diplomacy!

Given a chance to work, diplomacy can and will work. Cuba is only 90 miles from Florida. Why not trade with Cuba, deal with them and enjoy the Cuban people?

I am very impressed by the Pope. He is for the people not corporations!

Ad, Senators Sanders and Warren are our best bet to overturn Citizens United, IMO. Greed is America’s worst enemy. The greed of the BIG corporations and the very rich is unsustainable. Things like this are like a pendulum and in time the pendulum will swing back to the left.

Weekend Music Thread: Music From Around The World

Well my wife is using lozenges and what is called “wellness syrup” in tea. We also just got a vaporizer and a little pot to slow cook it in the vaporizer. She has not tried that yet. I got an ID card as her care taker so I can go to the dispensory alone and get the stuff. One of the conditions is we have to have a lock box to transport the stuff.
It seems to help her at least a little.

Good to see you here. We got Medical MJ for my wife and I tried it. Mess up time for me. Time stuttered. It would slow down and then jump ahead. Weird sensation.
