The Occupy Wall Street Thread

I agree, they have changed too many things since AOL bought it. You can’t even reply to someone who replied to you. AOLHP sucks, now.

I sure am one of the 99%!
I’m on Social Security and Medicare with a small savings account.
Lucky I never liked credit cards.

I’m lucky enough to live in Vermont and have the best Senator ever, the only one above taking a bribe Bernie Sanders. Bernie has been saying all the things OWS says for many years.

Because the supreme court found that corporations could donate as much $$$$$$ to a candidate as they want, we will have a hard time fixing our government.

I believe we should limit contributions to any candidate to $20 for every person and corporations. Each candidate would have to do interviews and debates but NOT TV ads.

That would go a long way toward getting the money out off politics.

Doesn’t it boil down to having representation in congress? 1% is represented because they buy politicians while 99% of us are not because we don’t buy or bribe politicians.

This protest reminds me of the 60s and I would go and protest with them if I could afford to.

THE GREEN THING

Absolutely right! The US should be putting a lot of money and effort into recycling and renewable energy and stop throwing money down the drain on coal, oil, and nuclear energy. Make the polluters pay for their own business and the clean up of their mess. Take that savings and put it into solar, wind, and geothermal along with recycling.
I recycle most of my waste and have a solar array that makes 120% of my power, sending the 20% into the grid thanks to net-metering.
We need to change our priorities from coal, oil, and nuclear to renewable and recycling,

Has Democracy Outlived Its Usefulness?

Our democracy has been perverted. We need to go back to where we had citizen legislators NOT professional politicians.

That is my view WHAT is yours?

AdLib, when I go to my dashboard to write an article I used to get suggestions on the right side. Now there are none. Did I accidentally hit a button to stop that useful tool from working?
Thanks for your help on this and everything else you do.
