I have been at HP for more than 3 years and I have tons of fans, tons and tons of comments and about every badge you can have….ALL of which I use to wage occasional battles against idiocy. HP (and politico, and salon, and daily beast) have a major problem with targeted trollng and they know it. I am in communication with mid level management and they see authentically concerned. And folks, the crowds are gathered more at HP than anywhere else. It is the town hall, forum that most people know. Most of us are on the side of the forces of light (at least that’s the impression I have) but so many others are genuinely lost. The good sense here is needed out there. The GOP’s last, best hope….nope
a) The SPLC is aligned with the Liberals, the Progressives, the Democrats…..it must be up to no good.
b) The SPLC has critiqued a number of institutions and organizations associates with conservative/rightist thinking which is (at least in tone) simpatico with the libertarians.
c) The SPLC operates under a paradigm of constitutional purpose and construction which is anathema to the libertarians whose “strict” constitutionalism is aligned with the words of the conservatives.
