Any foodies out there?

While cooking is a very sensual experience – like is eating, listening to good music and having a good drink (and using some not-so-mainstream, enlightening substance for one’s pleasure, too…) I rather suggest, that we do the cooking spree on Friday or Saturday nights, Keven.

This may also give our folks the opportunity to enter the kitchen and try any specfic recipe – which may have struck a nerve – out right at the same weekend without delay.

You will have Sauerbraten until you drop, BDM…

Hi! 😎

There are lots of different variants of Sauerbraten – which is something, many people don’t know or understand:

One can make Sauerbraten from horsemeat or oxen, one can marinade it in vinegar or red wine, one can add differend spices, make different sauces from the meat juice, serve it with different Knoedel or Spatzle (aka: a german domestic variant of noodles), and can serve it with either Sauerkraut or red cabbage – while both of which may be cooked in different flavours with different ingredients, too.

Hey: Perhaps, I rather make kind of a “Random Sauerbraten-Generator” – where everybody can compose his own, personal Sauerbraten-meal just after his own liking…? :-))

Anyway: I promise you will love my Sauerbraten, BigDogMon!

So we are both “survivors”. 😎

Sorry to hear about the rain in Japan. Yes, Winter comes early this year.

You may have read my little, friendly “quarrel” with KQuarks about “Global Warming/Cooling”.

I, for one am convinced, that planet Earth is cooling again. This is not a belief, but is based on facts. It’s a highly dynamic, very interesting process.

I can only hope, you don’t count me among Teabaggers now, only because I see so things differently than many “mainstream progressives”… 😎

But I have to leave for work now.

Have a nice evening, Kalima! And please pass my greetings to everybody you deem fit to be greeted.

Cheers!

Mo

Ah – found it! Thanks, Kalima.

How’s Japan doing these days? I have another 20 minutes, before I have to leave the house for work. Thank God it’s Friday, I can tell you.

I have been sick for almost 6 weeks until about 2 weeks ago. The kids at school presented me with a whooping cough, which I had never had in my youth. So it threw me down like the plague, I can tell you: I didn’t even know, that adults could catch which I thought was a child’s disease – until recently…

I am still a little off-beat. But at least, It’s improving every day now.

Err, umm:

Who wrote this very promising piece? I am asking, because I want to thank him/her for that.

Exchanging recipes is a marvellous idea! I am a cookie, if there ever was one! Or do ou think, I gained my 300 pounds by nibbling crispbread and sipping Eau Naturelle??? 😎

Be prepared for anything from italian to mexican to korean to chinese to french cuisine – and, yes: If you REALLY feel compelled to ask for it, for german cuisine, too…

Should we give it a ranking, too- like giving the suppliers of the recipes stars in the Guide Michelin or wooden spoons like in the Gault-Millau, once you have cooked and tested the suggested meals…?

PPOV on facebook

It could backfire badly, too. Some employers check out the Facebook-pages of applicants already.

And there might be a lot of things, one wouldn’t want a potential employer to know in advance – while the employer might use this free, additional knowledge just to decide against taking you, but hire another, more convenient contender, instead…

I must confess that am no “facebooker”.

Therefore, I find it hard to understand what it is, that makes this place so special and important to everyone these days.

Can someone explain the importance of Facebook to me in a few short sentences even an old lad like me can understand, please?

Fascism only needs two levers, to control a country and its people in full:

a. A gigantic, out-of-control military administration with virtually unlimited funding. DONE.

b. A legislature willing to accept bribery in any currency, to sell their law-making to the best bidder. DONE.

What you are quotimg. looks good and fine and smells, like America was on the right track again, AdLib. But it’s only smoke and mirrors.

Because, behind the scenes, the fascist infrastructure in America in fact remains completely intact to this day.

» Posted By Mogamboguru On November 12, 2009 @ 3:53 pm

Yep – and there’s more:

A Fascist America

http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2005/03/04/a-fascist-america/

America hasn’t stopped being a fascist state, only because Barack Obama became president. The so-called “powers thatbe” saw to their survival suring the machinated crisis, which was staged to blunt his presidency from the onset.

Call me a conspiracist. But I believe that, from a certain level onwards, nothing happens only by chance, fate or incompetence. NOTHING.

These people know EXACTLY, what they want – and what they have to do, to achieve it.

This will gon on so long, until they have completely wrecked the system, like a swarm of locusts devastates your cornfied, before they move on – or, until you chase them off your cornfield again.

» Posted By Mogamboguru On November 12, 2009 @ 3:39 pm

Um – no.

60 percent of all losses until 2007 have been recovered already so far – and counting, Pepe.

The trend is broken. The apocalypse has been called off. Read the links and enjoy1

Hi, Kalima.

Yes, Kalima, I am doing fine. I am getting better by the day.

But it’s still hard to resist the scissors in my head, telling me what to write and what not, or the .d.o.t.t.i.n.g. -.t.r.e.m.o.r., which is still catching me .e.v.e.r.y. .o.n.c.e. .i.n .a. .w.h.i.l.e….

Hi, bitohistory.

It may be, because the USA are no democracy anymore, but have become a fascist state during the past 30 years – says not me, but Naomi Wolf:

Fascist America, in 10 easy steps

From Hitler to Pinochet and beyond, history shows there are certain steps that any would-be dictator must take to destroy constitutional freedoms. And, argues Naomi Wolf, George Bush and his administration seem to be taking them all

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2007/apr/24/usa.comment

While this piece was written, while the Bush-cronies were still in power, it nevertheless remains only too true even today – if only, because president Obama made the mother of blunders, when he made the the mistake to leave all deciding perpetrators from the former administration in the Pentagon, as well as in the Fed, the Treasury and Wall street in power, when he took over.

“Fascism”, the italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini once stated, “is the merger of the military and the corporations at the expense of the people!” And he really should know – because he INVENTED IT!

And that’s where we are today. That’s the harsh, ugly, undisputable truth. That’s, what the american society has become.

Ike Eisenhower understood that, when he warned America of the MIC. But nobody would listen to him – until now.

Once, on a very slow, almost private early-morning-thread, I called Flossophy out for being a moderator, after i had boxed him in for good, using some interrogation techniques I learned in my job: I am a trained professional journalist, you know?

And guess, what? Finally, he agreed…

What do you make of that?

AdLib: We can provide for these respective, vanished Huffy-postings all by ourself: All that’s needed, is a little self-discipline to copy, paste and save all comments we make on the Dark Side, to re-post those which get scrubbed here on PlanetPOV. It’s easy as cake.

And we could copy and paste comments of others, to which we sincerely agree too, also, to publish them here in case they get scrubbed “over there”, too – because:

a. Published comments are public domain; and

b. I don’t thik someone, whose comment got scrubbed on Huffy, would be mad at us, if we saved and published his comment over here.

But this suggestion is open for discussion, of course. Your opinon? PLEASE! :-))

Hi, FeloniousMonk (WHAT a blues-man!)

Since I use Firefox with Adblock-Pro, i don’t even know what advertising on the net looks like anymore. But yes: Huffy seems to be setting up their advertisers for a giant scam here. I wonder, what an advertizing agency would say or do to that, if they got tipped off about that…?

Or could HP’s activities even be a conspiracy for committing a crime?

Do we have an attorney who is law-savvy here?

Hit me, if you like – but what does the “POV” in PlanetPOV really mean…? ::-)

» Posted By Mogamboguru On November 12, 2009 @ 11:20 am

AdLib,

I was about to join in your sacred rant about NuffingtonToast when I realized, that you have about summed everything up perfectly.

Yes! Huffy has become just-another piece of rightwing mainstream media veiled as a progressive platform, since the big boys with the big dough have stepped in the doors and took over the place (23 millions for a quarter of the HP-shares: PEW!)

Yes, it’s time to give intellect and opinion – And blunt, flat-out fun just for the fun’s sake, too! – a new home.

I will gladly help make this place our home.

Mark my words.

(And you KNOW that I do like I say…) :-))

YES, WE CAN!

(“Gee! Where only did I hear that phrase before…?”) :-p

Hi, ljc!

Exhale and relax. Finally, you are among friends here.

If you feel like discussing something respectfully – even something controversial: Do so.

If you feel like ranting about something you feel worth ranting about: Do so.

If you want to provoke thoughtful discussion on an intellectual level you haven’t even DREAMT about before: Do so.

In short: Just feel and do like free, intelligent humans always do, whenever they are unmoderated by thought-police… πŸ™‚

ROFLMAQ! 😎

From deep, deep down my heart, which is torn and devastated from my year-long hate-love with the HufingtonPost (How refreshing, to be able to post this name without being sent to instant, constant moderation; how much of a persecutional maniac can an online-magazine positively be…?) – today, I have the latest HP-gem to admire for you:

The recent, much-bemourned disappearance of the “Refresh”-Button on the NuffingtonToast apparently didn’t happen by accident, but by design.

Why? Because now, you have to hit the page TWICE, to refresh the page and read new entries, compared to only ONE hit when using the button.

A respective (and, of course, r.e.a.s.o.n.a.b.l.y. .d.o.t.t.e.d) posting of mine on the NuffingtonToast got erased within split-seconds on an otherwise very lazy and unmonitored thread – and it was erazed every time ever since I tried to mention this.

My guessing is: Someone at the PuffingtonRoast seems to be very nervous, to not let this become a hot topic over there.

So tell me: How desperately must a publication crave for hits, when it feels compelled to take such dirty tricks to prop up their number of hits and, thus, their ratings…?

Just saying.
