How are the US-exports doing actually?

It’s the exports of manufactured goods which will drive the REAL recovery!

You caught me here, BDM. HI!

Today, I am playing it safe and easy, and will cook myself a chicken soup, too.

Temps have fallen substantially over the past 24 hours in Germany. So a bowl of steaming hot soup is exactly, what my mom’s son needs right now to stay strong and healthy.

Music the Heartbeat of Films

Yep.

Good observation.

And really good popcorn-cinema, either!

CASABLANCA! Now THAT is one emblematic film!

I LOVE Casablanca!

Another, very emblematic film music:

Although the melody is rather simple, the orchestration is great. Thus, it sticks to ones mind – even more so, as it fits perfectly the amazement of watching grazing brontosaurs.

From the german 1929 film “Metropolis”

Futura’s Transformation

Remark: It’s a re-score, because, in those days, music was played live in the theaters to silent movies.

Caipirinhas!

Take four good glasses of Caipirinha within half an hour, and your sinuses will be cleared again.

I SWEAR!

😎

i take them as they come, kesmarn. But the american black and white movies and series from the 30’s to 50’s are my favorites.

Early Godzillas are great, too. But the latter ones are childish. Yet, I like the “modern” Godzilla with Matthew Broderick, again. (Wasn’t it directed by a german director…? πŸ˜‰ )

Do you have the TVU-internet TV-player on your computer already? http://www.tvunetworks.com/

It’s a little messy, to collect your favorites among all the Bollywood-stuff there, but it’s worth every minute – because this playwer features:

1: A classic-SF channel, featuring Spectreman and 1930’s Buck Rogers- and Flash Gordon-series among LOTS of unkown, yet sometimes remarkable other classic SF-films from Countries as weird as the late German Democratic Republic (Dubbed) !

2. a classic-HORROR-channel: Watch Boris Karlov and Bela Lugosi as they come!

3. And – tataaaa: THE SCIFI-CHANNEL! Yes, that one! The real McCoy!

Also, there are action-channels, Chinese and Japanese Hollywood-channels, A silent-movie-channel (A classic in itself!) and lots of special interest channels.

Again: There’s also a lot of garbage-channels on this player. But once you have sorted things out and have linked your favourite channels to your “Favourite”-bar, the TVU-player becomes a real alternative on a bad TV-night!

Enjoy!

AdLib – thanks 1000 times for incorporating that countdown-clock in the page! But wait: Now I will never again be able to claim I just missed something of importance on The Planet… YIKES! πŸ™‚

The picture in this thread is MARVELLOUS! I am a rabid fan of B-movie science-fiction. And concerning me, you caught the spirit of all the flying saucer-movies of the late 40’s and 50’s PERFECTLY! (Regarding “flying saucers” – HAHAHAHAHAHA! πŸ˜‰ )

The only down-point is, that the Planet Talk will begin a 4 AM my time… But I shall see to being still awake and with you then, I swear!

I am not “socking”.

I am who I am, and I bash who I bash at Huffy.

Could it be, that I enjoy kind of a jester’s license at Huffy, because I am their “House German”?

BTW: Rob S. was very friendly in his response, once I emailed him to complain about something. I can hardly envision him to be one of the bad guys at Huffy.

What’s plan “B”, if plan “A” fails?

And what would be the long-term outcome of a failed plan “A”?

30,000 Reasons to Leave Afghanistan

Hi, Kalima.

I think, that a lot of what is going on (wrong) in Pakistan is another case of the “Egg versus Chicken”-anathema:

How much of the violence in Pakistan is, in fact, going on,

a. because US-troops are chasing Taliban-troops over the Afghan-Pak border into Pakistan? Or

b. because CIA-Predator and -Reaper-drones kill droves of civillians in Pakistan, causing a huge uproar and insurgence of the victims’ next-of-kin against the America-friendly Pak-government, who allows the CIA to “do their job” unimpeded? Or

c. people, who are chased our of their homes by Pakistani troops, who are “hunting Taliban” in Pakistan on American orders – which the pakistani polulation knows perfectly well?

I say, that the USA are much more than tne benign neighbors and passive bystanders to the Pakistani nightmare.

I think, that Amerika is, in fact, once more actively stoking the fire and stirring the pot in Pakistan, to achieve their own political goal, which is:

Destabilize Pakistan so much, that the USA will finally be justified to go in and take Pak’s nukes away, because no muslim country will ever be allowed to have the bomb.

Cause – effect, Kalima.
