Displaying 511 To 540 Of 11,789 Comments I’m sorry I’ve been absent. I have lots of things I still want to write here. This and that, and life. I haven’t been banned from Facebook lately. In fact, in my fruitless “debates” on forums there with Trumpsters, I have met likeminded people. I’ve just launched my own private group there in the ethos of the Planet. With your permission, I’d like to link you somehow. I’m working on the Beirut thing when I have a chance. I’m also looking for work and dealing with a kittie. Just wanted to check back with you all. » Posted By Khirad On August 5, 2020 @ 7:05 pm With all the news I have nothing pithy to say, but I feel like
» Posted By Khirad On July 1, 2020 @ 5:44 am I have no words. I know the Indian side of things preternaturally, obviously. If someone is keyed into Beijing, I would love to know what they are doing. There’s nothing there to fight for really. I get fighting over islands, or making islands, but there is nothing there to fight over but pride. https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-claims-himalayan-valley-20-073826430.html » Posted By Khirad On June 21, 2020 @ 8:25 pm I deny that anyone had a message from RA – RA – why that name? from the future and all this stuff. It’s just gibberish and mishmashed new age stuff. I deny my creator, I deny you telling me what to believe. However, if it helps you, may your non-Egyptian “RA” be always vague and insipid. I’m just waiting for the money part. » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 10:16 am Who were you to criticize Mormons? » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 10:05 am It is nonsense.
» Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 10:03 am Also, I totally believe in Edward Kelly and John Dee speaking to angels and the Celestine prophesies and that I have Thetans in me. I highly doubt your Ra existed any more than the original or that there is a stargate. I assume you’ve read this? It’s pseudo every trick in the book. » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 9:48 am What is the ONE? I will not be judged without my freewill to be judged. Maybe I don’t want to be freewill? » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 9:31 am You don’t understand Brahma [brahman is your Ra], or ancient Egyptian religion. That last paragraph I need to stop you with. You believe in hidden planets? What is Ra material? It’s an incoherent word salad. I’m a student, just explain what this all means. Please say you know the earth is a sphere. » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 9:27 am You’re describing Hinduism, and I have all respect for that, but it’s Hinduism. Atman-Brahman. » Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 9:22 am I watch a lot of this stuff, though they are out of their depth when it comes to Eastern religions – which have their own cults.
» Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 6:52 am How is the Law of One different than say, Brahma, or anything else like that? I hold to my own understanding as much as I can even call myself an agnostic. I never much understood how the black church came to be, as the religion of their masters, other than to find parts of the Bible that supported them, as in Exodus; whilst their slave masters could just as easily play the Caaninite stuff and all the slavery stuff. I remember a friend we used to have around here who was past Reform Judaism and could speak to how the Jews squared that circle. Yes, Jesus did not have blue eyes or white skin. That is so behind me. Like, no shit, really? You don’t say? Perhaps I misunderstand entirely the purpose of this. If there is something out there, I have to believe ‘It’ isn’t a dick. It will know my heart. It is supreme, after all. I’ve never been afraid of hellfire. I know it largely comes from the Babylonian captivity and exposure to Persian religion after the Second Temple. And, of course, there are many more influences and accretions. This, however, does not get me to the Law of One, which is vaguely Kemetic? I’m still Joseph Campbell: follow your bliss. The divine exists in a baby’s laugh, the smell of spring after a rain, the numinous experience we have. I’ve had experiences I could easily explain away with logic, but I don’t want to, because I felt the spirit within. And I don’t think the ‘heart’ or the ‘mind’ have to be at odds. I ramble, I’ve always been an “orthodox agnostic”. I can’t believe in what people tell me. I only believe in what I experience, based on all the tomes of every religion I can read. My experience is not yours or anyone else’s. It is mine. Alone. That is why it is sacred to me. And I encourage everyone to find their own bliss; no matter what path or religion so long as it does not hurt anyone else. I am a friend to liberal Catholics, Muslims, Buddhists, you name it. If it helps you be a better person, – then bless you, whatever you think of this odd Unitarian Universalist.
» Posted By Khirad On June 20, 2020 @ 6:39 am That’s another discussion, and it got beyond pipe band politics into real world politics. » Posted By Khirad On June 17, 2020 @ 4:03 pm And yes, I had music from school in America up to Symphonic music where the notes are all the same, but with Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky the instruction was in Russian. I don’t know how well you read sheet music, but, I had to read some in a few different languages – though we all learn a little Italian – it being the most familiar. I loved the German sheet music from Wagner and stuff. I’d tell my other two percussionists what to do, because I was better, and I could read it. I’m making it sound cooler than it is, musical language is largely the same. » Posted By Khirad On June 15, 2020 @ 7:07 am No, not really, that deserves its own thing, but yes, I’ve done many many many many concerts and performances – it’s always like – oh, they couldn’t keep a beat, are you available? I don’t much what to say except a drum – “Planet Drum” – history of percussion should be another thing of mine if anyone is interested. But, I wouldn’t know where to start. I mean, from nothing. Like you just think drummers bang stuff out because that will be my first thing: drum circles. Are there clarinet circles where everyone thinks they know what they are doing? I once broke a guy’s djembe head on purpose to show how full of shit he was. » Posted By Khirad On June 15, 2020 @ 6:57 am This guy introduced me to Scottish drumming in my late teens. Even in Junior high though they had us write our own simple stuff. To go on further would be its own post on the history of my own drumming let alone – the history of drumming. At the bottom you will see his own writing. It differs, but I find pipe band scores easier to read generally than corps style. As to symphonic stuff it’s basically how long you can count before the triangle or trying to key change your timpani [plural] before the next movement. » Posted By Khirad On June 14, 2020 @ 9:28 am Apropos to nothing, but I want to disengage from FB, but this is the sort of thing I would post. And yes, this is me.
» Posted By Khirad On June 12, 2020 @ 10:42 am Fun fact, Galatians, Gauls, Gaelic are not coincidence. I have no point, just a fun fact about Celts. I certainly have no point on St. Paul – though I should read it again. I always enjoy scripture. I’m not one of those obtuse atheists, I love reading wisdom. I love how Trump could never even cite a favorite passage… I couldn’t either, other than a Psalm or two, but Job was always my favorite book. I could at least say that much. » Posted By Khirad On June 10, 2020 @ 6:51 am If I could bring anything here from other platforms it is stuff life this. I have watched this five times.
» Posted By Khirad On June 5, 2020 @ 11:03 pm I have very mixed feelings on Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace, and those are just the ones on MSNBC. It’s another subject, sometimes they will let out it was just a job. How many never trumpers joined Trump? I get it, I think the most honest shows since the West Wing have been In The Thick of It, and Veep. In my Cascadia piece I talked about being in D.C. and it’s shit. It’s so power driven of course we got Trump. » Posted By Khirad On June 5, 2020 @ 6:18 pm I love the Planet, because you got it, and it’s a safe space here where it’s not Toxic. In this moment though, it’s more important than ever to connect. I’ve been calling people old school a lot more. I laughed at first because I have my books and interests but, the – I hate to quote Phil Collins – but you can feel it in the air. I had the brilliant idea to get into the culinary industry before this. Still looking for work dealing with my usual Depression. My folks are having a hard time supporting me. I don’t need Facebook, I just need places like this and people to call sometimes. I had a plant and she just died. She was my pride. She died after doing so well. I’m at a low point and that… I know I just get in fights online for serotonin boosts, like I’m at a casino. I know I’m not going to “win” but it gets the receptors going. But it’s purposefully addictive, waiting for that ‘like’ and such. I still have real life friends on there though from like twenty years ago, so it’s hard. Especially in these times. I just wish I could get more people here. I like not having to respond to ten thousand things and once, but I could use more people. Me, the eternal misanthropic goth… if anyone was prepared for this it was me, but it’s even dragging me down. And I’m taking my meds! I’m sorry but that is – triggering. My mom used to say it, my teachers, etc. And of course they know it triggers me because I react to it, rather than go and fix a cuppa tea… That being said, I never meant to abandon the planet. I have a few ideas in my head to write about, even if just for my own enjoyment. AdLib is a great editor. *I forgot about Twitter, it can die, regardless of Trump. And I felt like a get off my lawn moment trying to figure out Instagram and Tik Tok… » Posted By Khirad On June 4, 2020 @ 9:09 am Sorry I’ve been away, but I just done got myself banned from Facebook again I missed y’all so much. Nah, I like catching up with old friends but I’ve been trying to bring people here. I have a few ideas I’d still like to catch up on, as uncontroversial as I am. Recently, I’ve been told to take my meds. I do take meds, and am very open about my mental illness. I don’t know if this is directed straight at me or is just a jaunty little insult. In any case, it’s in no better taste than racist slurs in my opinion. I can take a joke, comedians, musicians, artists, writers, scholars, scientists – a lot have had mental health issues. I really don’t take it as an insult, but I’ve heard it levied at me whenever I destroy someboody’s point logically. Like the last refuge of a rascal or some sort. I’m not ashamed. I’d love to talk about my struggles here without being all – don’t feel sorry for me – just my story with the brain that doesn’t always work right. » Posted By Khirad On June 4, 2020 @ 8:00 am Yeah, I had to back in time, as well. He never convinced me on his support for Iraq, but he was an iconoclast. He died unrepentent as a socialist and atheist, for what that’s worth. » Posted By Khirad On May 23, 2020 @ 2:03 pm I am not getting into this. As a white guy, how anyone of color could… It’s so beyond me it hurts my brain. » Posted By Khirad On May 23, 2020 @ 1:15 pm I have nothing to add. I’d love do have a talk about different voting systems other than first-past-the-post, but now is not the time. Biden, for once in his life, needs to not eff this up and get someone who is at the very least able to have a pulse and take over. I don’t fear us pulling a Sarah Palin, but, if it’s another old white guy on the ticket, I will use my stimulus check to buy a gun and shoot myself. » Posted By Khirad On May 23, 2020 @ 1:10 pm Hitchens was a socialist. » Posted By Khirad On May 21, 2020 @ 12:46 pm This is in English
» Posted By Khirad On May 21, 2020 @ 2:22 am I would direct you to the BITE model. You’re not addressing the point at hand and redirecting it. I’ve read the Egyptian Book of the Dead. Egyptian stuff, unless you are a Neo-pagan reconstructing Ra, sends up flares for me. https://freedomofmind.com/bite-model/ » Posted By Khirad On May 21, 2020 @ 2:17 am
» Posted By Khirad On May 18, 2020 @ 10:58 am Meanwhile, the Space Force is a thing, and now they have a horrible, horrible flag. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/05/15/official-space-force-flag-unveiled-white-house.html » Posted By Khirad On May 16, 2020 @ 7:20 amComments Posted By Khirad
