Ok, I just clicked onto C-Span to learn that the tape I thought I needed to watch, is 14 hours 53 minutes long. It’s Sunday here, I don’t think that I can sit through that amount of time. I’ll watch it in 2 hours session during next week, I really need to see the lame duck Repugs strut their nonsensical garbage for the American people and look forward to their thoughts on the party of NO.

It’s taking longer to reduce than I thought, big bugger it was. I’m happy to hear that your wife is feeling better and that you were able to eat one of your favourite dishes.

Ok, I’m off to do battle in my kitchen again. I found my longest knife and it found my left index finger.

My apologies to my friend KQ for being so o/t on this thread, he knows how much I care about your HCR.

I have to leave for a short time to make a huge pot full of ratatouille. A friend of ours retired and moved to the country where he has taken up gardening. Last week he delivered 3 zucchini which was great until I opened the box and found the biggest mothers I had every seen. The only one I decided to keep, took up one shelf in the fridge. I’ve just taken it out to measure it before I start to chop it up. Length 40 cm, circumference 35 cm, I’ll have to search for my longest knife.

FM that’s a riot, yes I have met a few women like that but my hubby has developed it into an annoying art form and just hears what he wants to hear, just like our many felines.

Lovely story. I have 3 strays inside, fell in love with them as kittens. Two sisters, one not so shy and one who now lives upstairs most of the time because another male attacks her. Madhouse. Another, Kali, part of my moniker, who talks up a storm and is not shy. either.

LOL the hubby has a built in on/off switch when I start to speak for longer than 5 minutes. I do so hate to repeat myself.

The longer we are together, the worse it gets, yet we have to listen to their every word or be accused of not caring enough. Men!!

Same here, it’s as white as snow and might blind someone.

Actually I’ve been in a hospital a few times here and the gowns are not open in the back but extremely short, so I wore leggings during my stay, the nurses all smiled.

I love dogs too. When I was a kid living with my grandparents in Germany, we had 4 German Shepherds and 7 cats, they all curled up together to sleep in a big ball.

Would love to have another dog but because of a medical condition for the last 22 years, I couldn’t take them for a walk. We live in Tokyo and have no garden for a dog to play in..

I find it to be the truth unfortunately. In our house the menagerie of cats, six inside and 10 of my remaining stray refugees that live in our garage, the cats come first. Hubby sometimes mumbles but I explain that they are so very clever that they pretend to suddenly not understand English, German or Japanese.

Once they are all fed I have rare moments of peace until the next feeding time, heaven.

Let’s put it this way, when they are good they are very, very good, when they are bad, they are wicked.

Sometimes I feel I have too many and sometimes not enough but they are the reason that I keep mobile and for that alone they have my gratitude.

Good Afternoon bitohistory, yes the cats were hungry and giving me a hard time. Even the 30 odd sparrows I feed daily were twittering on the phone cables outside. They give me no peace, I am their lifelong slave, a walking, talking tin opener, their food disher outer.

Good Evening BDM, I hope that you are well?

I remember the Sotomayor confirmation hearings on C-Span and developed a sore throat from all the shouting I did during the long days that followed. It was stressful to have to listen to these old stiff arsed Repugs day in and day out. They repeated each others words with their bloodshot eyes almost popping out of their sockets, you could have sliced the racist hate in that room with a dull knife.

I’ll pop over there later when I’m fully awake and a little stronger, don’t want to spoil a perfectly good Sunday.

Charming photo K but I see their point. So the Repubs are getting ugly, tell me something new. I hope that they have lined up a medical team for all those exploding heads.

When will you know?

I’m nervous for you all but believe that after all of the insanity by the Dems on the fence about this, surely there will be a few more clearer heads for the vote. As you say, note the NO votes and there is an election coming up.

I was going to go to C-Span myself this morning but after reading what to expect there, I’ll pass and have my morning tea instead.
