THE REPUBLICAN “DOGS OF WAR”

Have any of you noticed that many of the folks who spout the tea party line have substance abuse problems? Or often are dry drunks?

I am convinced that as a group they are bitter because the American dream hasn’t gone according to plan. Instead of taking it out in a positive/activist way on the corporate oligarchy, they look to blame anybody else who doesn’t look like or live like them.

They cannot admit to what is not within their control or what they should have learned from their own individual mistakes. (I believe that we all are subject to a bit of both — the fates if you will, and personal choices that blow up from time to time. Unlike tea party folks who like to play blame the victim, I think making mistakes is part of the human condition, but I digress.)

It has been reported that the American Society of Journalists is sedning out tweets saying that the media should not report on the prank phone call.

Anything that we can do to make this conversation go viral is important. The msm needs to protect its masters.

Worth sharing….”The Disease called ‘Perfection’ “

Perfection should never be the enemy of the good in politics. But selling something as “good,” should never be a cover for the status quo either.

For the most part, our President has achieved some good things — like healthcare. It is not a cover for the status quo, but truly new and improved, albeit not perfection.

However, in the area of financial regulation, I feel like he has only achieved cover. We could use a little more perfection by him in this realm.

I like what I am reading, but haven’t quite figured out where current items are compared to items from previous days.

Also, I am experiencing Avatar problems — which I suspect is me, not this site. I somehow now have an all black box for an image.

One friend at HP told me about this site. I am a newbie compared to other posters, but I am thrilled with the quality level of the discussion here. The discussions at HP are deteriorating by the hour.
