BREAKING NEWS: Osama Bin Laden Dead

Kalima, You are preaching to the choir but NOTHING in our previous decade of foreign affairs leads me to believe we wouldn’t have done it. Or at least consider it.

And of course it’s Bush ideology. That’s who would have done it! that’s my point.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 2, 2011 @ 5:05 pm

bito, Iraq and Afghanistan were complex countries with many traditions and cultures.

We would have went into Pakistan without any thought or understanding. I put nothing past Bush on that front.

One side in this argument wanted to BOMB IRAN a recently as 2 years ago.

What would we have done and why? I’m still trying to figure that out in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Very cool stuff HH. I really enjoyed the Hurt locker. looking forward to this one.

Kalima, I agree that it is up to them but I think if Pakistan didn’t have nukes, we would have went in long ago.

I’m not endorsing it, I just think that’s how it would have went.

If Pakistan didn’t have nuclear weapons we would have already dropped the hammer. They are Afghanistan with nukes.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 2, 2011 @ 4:05 pm

AdLib, very true. I think I would have stopped myself before ever letting it go that far but, boy, I sure would have seriously considered it. He isn’t worth dignity.

But we are better than that. I cannot argue that.

That’s actually pretty funny.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 2, 2011 @ 1:27 pm

You say: “That Obama! He knows how to steal the show! GO-BAMA!”

» Posted By ADONAI On May 2, 2011 @ 1:19 pm

So does this justify torture and rounding up people and locking them in cages indefinitely?

I’m hearing that they eventually found Bin Laden by going on tips they recovered through “CIA interrogation” and people from GITMO.

Is Bin Laden’s death a key to developing an exit strategy from the Middle East or a justification for going further?

We went over there to capture/kill Bin Laden and weaken Al Qaeda. Now that it is accomplished, what new excuses do we have for staying?

Well, I GOT to get to bed.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The more I hear about the raid on the compound, the more I’m convinced I’ve already played that level on the last Medal of Honor game.

All it was gonna take was special forces knowing where he was and he’s already dead after that. All that’s left is putting the bullet in him.

Definitely something big to go out on!

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:59 pm

Indeed 🙂

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:58 pm

I was guessing roadie for Motorhead. 🙂

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:55 pm

I gotta give a rare tip of the hat to the CIA too.

They probably had at least 3 foreign governments working against them the whole way and they still found that motherfucker.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:54 pm

I agree Kalima. I think everyone is pissed off over everything that has happened the last decade, and he is, or I guess I should say was, the catalyst of it all.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:48 pm

HA! True choice.

But how often do we get to celebrate something positive in the “war on terror”?

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:46 pm

I’m not surprised by the large crowds this late at night/early in the morning.

When Americans want to party, time is a meaningless concept.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:40 pm

HA!

Man I hate that guy. I know we need his body for proof and all that, but when they’re done with it, can’t we put it in a dumpster behind a Golden Corral?

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:37 pm

Cher, I’ve always had concerns about Pakistan too. I’m not extremely familiar with the country so I try to give them the benefit of a doubt but they’ve been tied to Bin Laden since long before the 9/11 attacks. It’s just all too fishy now.

And the nuke thing is a problem. In my opinion they’ll fire those things at India if they ever feel like they are going to be taken away. That will start a shitstorm none of us want to see.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:33 pm

Indeed.

He was in a rich neighborhood 2 MILES from a military base!

Everyone on TV is like, “wow, how did he ever pull that off?!”

They were hiding him!

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:28 pm

So, basically, at any point in the last 10 years, Pakistani leadership could have told us exactly where Bin Laden was.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 11:16 pm

Nope.

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 9:25 pm

Those are some good guys to send in!

» Posted By ADONAI On May 1, 2011 @ 8:57 pm

A small team of American soldiers breached a terrorist compound, behind enemy lines, and eliminated their leader.

That’s some video game shit right there. I wonder who they sent in? Had to have been the most elite of special forces unit. They didn’t even suffer an injury let alone a casualty according to the President.

What is a “Real” American?

Kalima, I really do apologize if I offended you. Was not my intent.

As I said to AdLib above, I should be more mindful of how I present my opinion, in jest or not.

And I hope you don’t think I was calling the wedding itself a joke. if so, i can see the reason for the offense. And rightfully so. What I meant was that my off the cuff remark was a joke. Not the actual proceeding itself. I got respect for Prince William. And a big mouth.

» Posted By ADONAI On April 29, 2011 @ 6:10 pm

AdLib, Fair enough. I know my sense of humor is not universal. I shall work to dial it back a little.

» Posted By ADONAI On April 29, 2011 @ 6:07 pm

Kalima, But this article is about America and Americans. I don’t know where I overstepped my bounds. It’s all just my opinion.

As I said, the royal wedding thing was just a joke. Actually, the whole thing was.

» Posted By ADONAI On April 29, 2011 @ 5:14 pm

Kalima, They actually did interview just as many people who were for it. They got more screen time as a matter of fact.

But still, it was all in jest. But I get some Brits problem with the whole thing. It costs a little over a billion pounds(1.6 billion US dollars) to keep up the Royal Family.

Most of the costs of the wedding will eventually be recovered so they shouldn’t be seen as a detriment. I’ve seen some video and it looked like a beautiful ceremony. I’m happy for those kids.
