Forget the news of the world! The ground shook a little bit! IN AMERICA!

The world must stop until we can come to terms with this unprecedented event never before seen in American history!

There was minor flooding in the lower levels of the Pentagon! My GOD that carpet is ruined! Oh GOD The humanity!

Seriously though, if I hear one more person on CNN or MSNBC mention Japan I’ll go crazy.

You know what’s embarrassing? Watching Wolf Blitzer go from person to person asking about he “damage and destruction” left in it’s wake. I think one guy said he spilled some coffee on himself.

Devastating.

Scientists Trace Heat Wave To Massive Star At Center Of Solar System

http://www.theonion.com/articles/scientists-trace-heat-wave-to-massive-star-at-cent,21088/

PASADENA, CA—Groundbreaking new findings announced Monday suggest the record-setting heat wave plaguing much of the United States may be due to radiation emitted from an enormous star located in the center of the solar system.

Scientists believe the star, which they have named G2V65, may in fact be the same bright yellow orb seen arcing over the sky day after day, and given its extreme heat and proximity to Earth, it is likely not only to have caused the heat wave, but to be responsible for every warm day in human history.

Sheik was just winding down his career when I started. I still caught his feud with Sgt. Slaughter and then Sarge “turning traitor” during the first Iraq War and teaming up with him.(and people REALLY got pissed that Sarge was on TV saluting Saddam Hussein)

And he was a genuine bad ass. Iranian special forces, former bodyguard to the Shaw, bare knuckle boxer. He’s a little crazy but I’ve never heard or read a bad word uttered about the man. I have heard some crazy stories from the road. Let’s just say I wanna party with the Sheik.

Every time I read “The American Dream” I think of Dusty Rhodes.

“I have wined and dined with kings and queens, and I’ve slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans.”

Congrats Caru. You’ve taken your first steps into a lifetime of debt.

Historian and Anthropologist are great and noble professions. But maybe take a side job that, you know, pays.

Good luck! 🙂

Khirad, I know you’re busy but when you get a chance check this video out.

Weird or totally awesome? You got this song and a video that seems…. misplaced. I’m tempted to say the guy who threw it together is a genius. What do you think?

» Posted By ADONAI On August 21, 2011 @ 8:06 pm

Em,I will have to check that movie out. I love Stephen Fry. Especially the comedy show he did with Hugh Laurie back in England.

I love brainyquote. Get all my quotes there. I think they have almost every quote ever uttered. If I can’t remember one, which happens often, or just want something specific it never lets me down.

What if I want to report a comment, not because it’s bad, but because it’s totally awesome?

Onion Classic – February 20, 1996

Local Harlot Exposes Face, Neck
‘Nothing was left to the imagination,’ says Damascus-area shopkeeper

http://www.theonion.com/articles/local-harlot-exposes-face-neck,20410/

This story originally appeared in the Damascus Herald-Star. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.

An area harlot exposed her face and neck to the naked eyes of several area men yesterday, stirring deep within them filthy and sinful desires. The harlot, area seamstress and mother of five Fatma al-Qaawi, was witnessed in the act of removing her protective headgear and veil in the town marketplace, in plain view of the public.

According to witnesses’ reports, after exposing the men to her brazen display of wanton, uncensored sexuality, al-Qaawi rocked back and forth slightly, allowing her hair to blow gently in the mid-morning breeze, deliberately goading the men into thoughts of hell-spawned lustful abandon. Although she quickly replaced the shawl and veil, the damage had already been done.

Surrounded by loved ones, you die a peaceful death and go to the crossroads of the afterlife. You are presented with two roads. One leads to heaven and one leads to hell (or whatever desirable/undesirable locations you want to imagine). You can only take one path and you cannot change your mind or turn back once you have chosen. The paths look the same from where you stand, and you cannot tell which one leads where. To find out, you must ask the advice of The Twins. But beware: one Twin is good and wants you to take the road to heaven. He will only tell the truth. The other Twin is evil, wants you to take the road to hell, and can only tell you a lie. Like the roads, you cannot tell which Twin is which. And to top it all off, you can only ask The Twins one question to try to figure out which path leads to heaven (only one question, not one per Twin). What question do you ask to guarantee you will find the road to heaven?

Another reason I like Al Sharpton on TV. And yes I know he can’t read a teleprompter. At all.

But I’ve seen him debate Hitch on the existence of GOD and the worth of religion. He’s a spritiual guy. But he defends science. It’s good to see a Reverend who doesn’t take science as a threat to his religious self.

It reminds me of that Catholic priest CNN used to have on all the time. He was also a well respected cosmologist. Just loved hearing him talk. He totally got it.

Visa Exposed As Massive Credit Card Scam

http://www.theonion.com/articles/visa-exposed-as-massive-credit-card-scam,21136/

SAN FRANCISCO—In coordinated raids Monday at locations in Delaware, South Dakota, and California, federal agents apprehended dozens of executives at Visa Inc., a sham corporation accused of perpetrating the largest credit card scam in U.S. history.

According to indictments filed in U.S. District Court, Visa posed as a reputable lender, working through banks to peddle a variety of convincing-looking credit cards carefully designed to dupe consumers into spending far more money than they had. The criminal group would then impose a succession of escalating fees on unpaid balances, allegedly bilking some $300 billion from victims in the past year alone.

Here’s what I get when I read about ancient times. And I mean ANCIENT times.

If I had a son, I would think “Praise “insert god(s)”! My line will not be broken!”

If I had a daughter, “Well, I can trade her for some cool shit.”

And that’s how we got marriage. Or, as Rick Santorum calls it, a napkin.

KQ, I don’t understand your argument.

Unions are willing to work. Why should they? They have given a mile yet the other side has given nothing.

“I got 98% of what I wanted.” ~ John Boehner

I don’t think you get what I’m saying. One side gives. The other takes.

No more.
