KT, Breaking the law period doesn’t equate to morality or ethics to most people. Or by definition.

But that’s what civil disobedience is. Breaking the law.

Morals and ethics are tricky when you speak in absolutes because there are none.

It’s as simple as this.

The rich steal from us everyday. EVERY. DAY. Then they sell it all back to us. No one goes to prison because it’s just so big and complicated that we just blame a random politician and move on.

It should be no surprise that I take my views on theft from my mentor, Mr. George Carlin. Fuck these people. I promote theft. Not to teach people a lesson about union rights or to make a statement about fair wages or how to treat a worker.

I advocate it because it is the right thing to do to people who never hesitate to do it to you. I am not “do unto others.” I am “eye for an eye”. Proportionality. Believe me folks, the corporations are still winning.

Poor people are thrown in jail everyday for taking from people who have already taken everything from them. So fuck ethics and fuck morality. There is no standard. There is no polite society. Only those who take and those who lose. Tell me I’m wrong.

They’re coming for you folks. They’re coming for your fucking retirement money and they’re gonna get it too. A thief? No. I’m just doing business.

Now, what were we talking about?…….

Kalima,I don’t care where they were made. Toyota knew they were faulty and put the cars out anyways.

And I think you;re missing my point. American car companies? Steal from them too. Yes, they suck as well. Probably more so. But the example involved Toyota. That’s all.

KT, It really all depends on the person’s definition of morals and ethics.

And civil disobedience is the refusal to obey certain laws.

Thus, theft, is civil disobedience.

I know people who would argue the “Toyota pays well” comment and how are they not at fault? It’s their cars. Their name is on it.

But, like I said, I know not everyone is down with this. I;m not stupid enough to think it’s some kind of “Robin Hood” thing but you do what you have to do.

And if there is anyone who won’t miss it, it’s a giant international corporation.

Foxhole, I believe I’ve seen it. Frontline also did a great piece on them a few years back that really put it all in perspective.

They’re just bullies. And their upper management seem like the worst kind of people. No care at all for the average employee.

Abby, I would also add, for people on a low budget, that some milk crates and a sheet of plywood makes for a passable table. If you’re looking for something a bit more sturdy I would go with an old door that has been taken off the hinges. 🙂

That was my point. The Left saw the Tea Party as whackos and the people in Wisconsin as champions of democracy.

Here’s what I hate.

I was watching a story on the local news about a couple who had been stealing parts from the Toyota plant they had been working at. Apparently been doing it for months.

Now, I don’t wan to question other people’s morals and standards but personally I find it hard to condemn poor people stealing from the shitty corporation they work for. And the “ruining it for everyone else” argument doesn’t work with me because:

A.)Fuck everyone else.

2.)Have you seen the place? It’s already been ruined for everyone else. Let’s just get by til we fix it.

And it’s not like they killed someone. But Toyota killed people. Knew they had faulty accelerators and put the cars out anyways. Ain’t nobody going to jail for that.

Yes, I condone theft from corporations. Toyota, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc. And anyone attached to them. These companies have literally stolen from you, your father, and his dad, and his dad.

I liked Inception. It was different. I like different.

I was able to follow every storyline and piece together every plot point but I still have no idea what the fuck was happening in that movie.

I know I may catch some shit for this but,

I was watching the Daily Show last night and I very much agreed with the point Stewart made about these protesters and the Tea Party protesters.

And if you are even a casual viewer of American media, you knew this before he said it.

2 years ago, the Tea Party protesters were a pack of whackos subverting America to the Left and proud citizens voicing their own opinion to the Right.

Fast forward to today and these protesters are a pack of whackos subverting America to the Right and proud citizens voicing their own opinion to the Left.

So, what is the difference? There’s none to me. Agree or disagree, all these people are doing is what they are suppose to do. Protesting and speaking in a loud voice what they believe to be right. And that’s NEVER a bad thing.

I don’t know if any of you have seen the previews for the new Matt Damon movie, The Adjustment Bureau, but it is REALLY pissing me off. The whole premise of the movie seems infuriating.

O.K., first of all, at some point in the movie, Terrence Stamp(Kneel Before ZOD!), reveals to Matt Damon that he and his group control people’s destinies after he stumbled upon them controlling destinies.

He tells Matt Damon that he is destined to “change the world” but it will never happen as long as he stays with the random woman he met on a bus. Naturally, Damon runs away with her. WHAT?! WHAT?! What if he meant that you’re gonna cure cancer or end war?! Are you THAT fucking selfish?! Am I suppose to root for this guy?! Oh yeah, millions will die but at least you get to marry this chic for 5 years and then get divorced!(statistics people)

And how the Hell does he run away from these people? They can manipulate the world in any way they chose yet he spends a whole movie running from them?! Bullshit!

I dunno, maybe I’m reading too much into the trailer but it sure looks stupid.
