A string of broken promises. They can “influence” all they want. I have yet to see them get jack shit done. Unless we’re counting the 10 Commandments in front of court houses as a major victory.

I think Bush was already like that before he got into office.

Bush and Cheney walked away from every promise they made Evangelicals. They barely attempted to even address a single social issue they had elected them to address.

Think about it. Would you let these people run your country? No. And there are more than a few people who think just like you.

Wanna get people out to vote? Put Joel Olsteen up for President. Watch what happens.

Obama and Hitler? SERIOUSLY? And I HATE when people call Hitler a socialist. He wasn’t a socialist. He just used populist rhetoric to mask his true intent. I think Nazi sympathizers even blamed “socialists” for the Nazis downfall after the war.

I’m pretty sure the core of socialist belief is “all for one and one for all”.

Not , “All for us and Kill the Jews!”

Huckabee has said he probably won’t run for President and Palin can’t get above 4% in her own primary polls.

They are increasingly marginal characters. In my opinion it is best to worry about someone who actually has a chance of obtain a high office.

dey, I don’t fear the Evangelicals. They are a fringe group Republicans use when thy need votes.

It’s all they’ve ever been. A few Senators here and there. Maybe some Congressmen. But the country has no taste for an ultra religious President.

They don’t poll well nationally and have never won a primary in the modern era. Their only hope is that someone nukes Israel. Which is really why they are fans of Middle Eastern wars.

Just my opinion.

Abby, everyone wants power. But what did the extermination of the Jews have to do with that?

Or lining up hundreds of gay people and executing them one by one?

The Nazis were not a normal “political movement”. Hitler was not your average dictator.

Hitler had bitter demons that consumed him. Saddam Hussein and Milosevic have NOTHING on Hitler.Cheney is as far from Hitler as Mother Theresa.

But this in just my opinion, as always. I’m not trying to condemn your views on this a at all.

Hitler and the Nazis were not looking to stir up a few wars to make their corporate buddies a fortune.

They were into killing everyone and everything on the planet they deemed inferior.

jdmn, I agree, BUT,

It’s not the same as Nazi Germany. When the Native Americans finally relented and gave up their land, we didn’t keep openly exterminating them. We reduced them and huddled them away on reservations.

The Nazis would have kept going regardless of whether “non-Aryans” relented or not. It’s a whole different mindset. We wanted land. They wanted the death of everyone not like them.

I would have went another way too but I at least understand why he did it. Ohio is a big player in producing that engine and he just didn’t want to lose the jobs.
