Prejudice and Racism

When Obama completed the oath of office, Thirteen-year-old Rashad glanced at his mom and dad, seeing something he had never seen his father and mother do, wiping tears from their eyes. They both looked at each other, not saying a word. He heard his dad say, ‘I wish Mom, Dad, and my grandfather were here to see this.'
It won’t happen for either of them. The first is they are of the wrong hue. Trump would love to have a large segment of the Black vote as a bragging right, but he will settle for whatever or whoever shows up to cast a vote for him. He will then lie about how thousands upon thousands of Black voters left Biden to vote for him.
"IF YOU CAN KEEP IT” is the equivalent of the robot in Lost In Space saying "Danger Will Robinson!", and we need to pay attention to the warning about the ongoing campaign to erase civil rights.
Youth arrest is a new form of Jim Crow without the masked riders in the middle of the night with torches — the use of the judicial system to negate any progress or potential progress of young Black children.
We are living in a world that has gone completely bonkers. How else can you explain what happened to a nine-year-old Black girl who was doing something good for her neighborhood only to have the police called on her because some old Geezer saw “A little black woman walking and spraying something on the trees and sidewalk, I don’t know what she’s doing, but it scares me though.”

The freedmen were not really free in 1865, nor are most of their descendants really free in 1965. Slavery was but one aspect of a race and color problem that is still far from solution here, or anywhere. In America, particularly, the grapes of wrath have not yet yielded their bitter vintage. — The Oxford History of the American People [1965], ch.1
For Tucker Carlson, it was never about imparting the truth. As his high school friend told a reporter, “He saw Tucker making the pragmatic decision to follow a business model that made his conservative media counterparts a lot of money.”
It’s obvious what rankles Ms. Salinis; she is an illiterate troglodyte who couldn’t handle seeing a young Black female reciting a poem of hope for this country. Nothing in Amanda’s poem remotely suggests what she claims justifies having this book banned. She is an opportunist taking advantage of the dumbass laws DeSantis pushed through his State Legislature to make Florida an autocratic state.
As I stand here and look out upon the thousands of Negro faces, and the thousands of white faces, intermingled like the waters of a river, I see only one face, the face of the future — Martin Luther King, Jr.
