AdLib 3 days ago
trump in a mudslide!
Harleigh

Hey Harleigh! You said it!
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump under a landslide!
AdLib 3 days ago
Still wearing my “I Voted” sticker.
AdLib 3 days ago
hopefully and I hope faux has a total meltdown agin tonite.
Harleigh

Who gets to play the role of Karl Rove and insist Hillary didn’t win?
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump?
AdLib 3 days ago
If Hillary wins FL, it’s pretty much over.
AdLib 3 days ago
He will do it I’m certain. It would be a yyyuuugggeee surprise to me if he doesn’t
Harleigh

Do you think he really will refuse to accept his loss?
AdLib 3 days ago
Will Trump celebrate his loss with a big glass of whine?
AdLib 3 days ago
floriduh has basically 3 big dem areas Miami, Ft lauderdale and Orlando that has mostly dem voters and huge dense populations. That had a very heavy early vote as well.
Harleigh

Hey FD!
AdLib 3 days ago
What’s up, peeps?
Fuzzy Dunlop

hey FD
Harleigh

Hey Harleigh.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Harleigh – That sure bodes well for Hillary! Especially the huge Latino vote coming out!
AdLib 3 days ago
These are tense hours.
Fuzzy Dunlop

both black and hispanic up over 120% from 2012.
Harleigh

Think we’ll know by late tonight?
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – True but I’m confident she’ll win relatively early.
AdLib 3 days ago
too bad that this is Groundhog day and the loop ends at 7PM eastern so we will never know!
Harleigh

NOOO!!!
AdLib 3 days ago
LOLOLOLOL
Harleigh

That’s purgatory, Harleigh.
AdLib 3 days ago
Well, if the Orange molester wins, I’ll be very surprised. And extremely disappointed in my country.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Aaaaaccck!
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – Won’t happen. He just doesn’t have the numbers.
AdLib 3 days ago
I can’t see him winning.
Harleigh

Well, i voted straight dem ticket, this morning.
Fuzzy Dunlop

I vote every election by mail and always straight dem
Harleigh

All kinds of questionable stats on MSNBC now. They have so few exit polling results yet report them like they’re comprehensive.
AdLib 3 days ago
Harleigh – Same here. Either he’s close or loses big. He doesn’t win.
AdLib 3 days ago
MSNBC has definitely changed, for the worse, in the last year and a half or so.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Me too, FD. And if a Trump type was a Dem, I’d have no problem voting against him. The difference between Dems and Repubs.
AdLib 3 days ago
i used to love MSNBC with Ed and Keith. Can’t stand Todd or mathews.
Harleigh

FD – It’s like 75% Repub shills as guests now, Dems and Progressives are rare.
AdLib 3 days ago
Me neither Harleigh. I do like Chris Hayes, Rachel, Lawrence O’Donnell and Joy Reid. They’re the only ones worth watching. Oh, and Katy Tur! She’s a class act.
Fuzzy Dunlop

I watched 10 minutes of them tonite and Kornyacki making up parsed shit exit numbers. meaningless
Harleigh

Yeah, it seems they’ve adopted the “Fair and Balanced,” shyte that FOX supposedly does.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Did you notice how Steve Kornholio’s map is the only one at MSNBC that shows Hillary below 270? Just to keep Dems on edge and watching! He’s slime.
AdLib 3 days ago
Kornaki drives me nuts. He talks fast and non-stop. I just want to yell SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Fuzzy Dunlop

even racheal that I used to love now phrases her 1 minute questions 4 ways from the middle for 5 minutes like that shithead mathews.
Harleigh

Ratings till the end!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad has a great name for him…Dime a Dance Matthews. It’s perfect.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – He talks quickly because he’s trying to inject BS into viewers without interruption.
AdLib 3 days ago
He’s quite effective. I always mute him.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Harleigh – Agreed, Rachel became so acidic and spiteful towards Bernie, it was just mean spirited. She’s a mainstreamer now.
AdLib 3 days ago
I can’t wait to see Kellyann be interviewd after Trump loses. Will she still be lying?
Fuzzy Dunlop

I still like Rachel. She hasn’t completely gone mainstream. She’s close though.
Fuzzy Dunlop

well kellyanne will tell us how it was rigged and MSM lies. you both know thta! LOL
Harleigh

True! Trump can do nothing else and Kelly will suck up to him, at least until (and if) Trump pays her.
Fuzzy Dunlop

I’m annoyed too of all the cuddliness hosts have with Conway. You can’t spell Conway without Con.
AdLib 3 days ago
Exactly. She’s a walking lie machine.
Fuzzy Dunlop

anybody that has not been paid by trump is getting stiffed. guaranteed.
Harleigh

And Trump will sue everyone he has paid.
AdLib 3 days ago
That would not surprise me.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Fox News is having depressed “sour grapes” whiners talk about how even if Hillary wins, she has too much baggage to ever govern. Oh, and…”WAHHH!”
AdLib 3 days ago
If she got stiffed, I would find that quite humerous.
Fuzzy Dunlop

The Con-Way!
AdLib 3 days ago
Let’s hope the dems take back the senate.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – I’m optimistic about that, especially with the surge of Latino voters.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, me too. Then we can tell old turtle face to take a flying leap!
Fuzzy Dunlop

I often wonder if some of the paid shills really believe the shit they have to spew like Dana Perino for Bush or Megyn Kelly for Ailes. Both are bright enough to know it’s bullshit but the paycheck is for performing the masters way.
Harleigh

FD – BTW, you know you can log into KT by not putting a space between the names? That’s the way you originally set it up.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, I tried that a couple of times and had no success. I’ll try again, maybe tomorrow. This was probably 4 days ago or more.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Harleigh – They are the definition of having sold one’s soul. They have no principles, money is all they have.
AdLib 3 days ago
That’s how I feel too AD
Harleigh

it’s all about their personal careers, the hell with ethics and integrity.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – I logged in as a test with no problem. The failed logins all had the names seperated with a space, just run the names together and you’re cool.
AdLib 3 days ago
FD – They are evil zombies, no conscience, they’re just mindless creatures following their simple motivations.
AdLib 3 days ago
You mean no space between Killgore and Trout?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Did you see any of the videos in my post today? Funny stuff last night from all around the dial!
AdLib 3 days ago
I’ve tried it both ways. Again though, that was last week.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yep, it needs to be: KillgoreTrout
AdLib 3 days ago
I love when they get punked reading their teleprompters. remember that jet that landed short and a couple of kids fell out of the back of the plane? LOL
Harleigh

The VR post?
Fuzzy Dunlop

That’s how you set it up originally and it’s always been. Don’t forget, I set a temp password. It’s in my email to you.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wait, I’ll post them here too…
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, I’ll do it tomorrow.
Fuzzy Dunlop

AdLib 3 days ago
You don’t like Fuzzy? LOL!
Fuzzy Dunlop

I like Fuzzy but also miss Killgore.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ah so!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Wait, here it is again, embedded in the chat window:

AdLib 3 days ago
While we’re waiting…here’s number two video:

AdLib 3 days ago
AdLib 3 days ago
I saw the Sam Bee video. Very good, as always. She’s one of the best late night has to offer now.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – I think she made the best argument for Hillary as a person, better than anyone else the whole season.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, me too. she wasn’t too fond of Bill though. Can’t blame her really.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Sam wasn’t fond of Bill? Since she’s a feminist, that’s not hard to understand.
AdLib 3 days ago
No, it’s not.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Steve Kornholio is frothing again.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, I got him on mute!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Blab-a-blab-a-blab! Well said, Kornholio!
AdLib 3 days ago
poll closings right now!
AdLib 3 days ago
How about out west?
Fuzzy Dunlop

MSNBC is sucking today. More so than usual.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Projections…GA, VA too close to call. Trump wins IN of course.
AdLib 3 days ago
7pm local time across the whole great land of freedumbs…. lol
Harleigh

Trump wins KY too. Hillary wins VT.
AdLib 3 days ago
Coal miners.
Fuzzy Dunlop

SC – Too early to call.
AdLib 3 days ago
FD – And uneducated whites.
AdLib 3 days ago
Billhillys.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Wouldn’t it be too cool if Hillary could win GA?
AdLib 3 days ago
ga in 2020 maybe
Harleigh

FD – Unfortunately not Bill&Hillys.
AdLib 3 days ago
That would be quite telling, concerning the GOP’s rep.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Harleigh, yep, you’re probably right but I can still dream tonight!
AdLib 3 days ago
Georgia is considerably more progressive than it was a decade or so ago.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Kornaki must drink Red Bull all day. The guy is super hyper.
Fuzzy Dunlop

TX will be interesting too. see how close the races are in baggertopia
Harleigh

Yes, GA is ready to flip, more moderate and Progressive. In 4 years, I can see it going convincingly Dem.
AdLib 3 days ago
Kornholio sniffs whatever Trump sniffs during debates.
AdLib 3 days ago
This year would be great. Could happen.
Fuzzy Dunlop

I think TX will be Repub this year but the margin could be single digits.
AdLib 3 days ago
bbl, dinnertime
Harleigh

What’s for dinner?
AdLib 3 days ago
dogs, baked beans and mac n cheese. a real murikkkan meal. lol
Harleigh

God Bless American food!
AdLib 3 days ago
What? No apple pie?
Fuzzy Dunlop

And the fried Twinkie!
AdLib 3 days ago
i’ll look
Harleigh

Dinner sounds good right now. I’ll be back later.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Think I’ll fry me up a stick of butter right about now!
AdLib 3 days ago
Whahappen???
AdLib 3 days ago
Hope we have FL decisively for Hillary in a couple of hours. Pretty confident we will see that.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary in the lead in FL with 30% of the vote in.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hey Funk!
AdLib 3 days ago
Hi! Florida and Virginia looking good! NH is a little disappointing
funksands

Yep! If she wins FL, NH doesn’t matter…except for the Senate seat.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wow, Trump wins WV. Big surprise!
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep, if Florida goes, this thing is cooked.
funksands

That’s what I’m happy about right now. It could be all over for Trump and a win for Hillary relatively early.
AdLib 3 days ago
That would make my panic-stricken wife a little calmer for sure
funksands

The vote seems to be coming in pretty fast in FL.
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump’s barely ahead of Hillary with big red areas coming in and a lot of blue yet to come in. I think she’s in very good shape in FL.
AdLib 3 days ago
Do they throw all of the early votes in after poll closure?
funksands

There was a shooting at an LA polling station did you hear about that?
funksands

Don’t know, CNN said they’ve already put in the early votes yet they show big Dem counties not in yet. Probably depends on the county.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yes, heard about it, Azusa is a real outlying area, not very close to LA itself.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah she’s close in Virginia too with zero urban areas reporting
funksands

Heavily armed shooter…sounds like a lunatic.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wonder why rural votes are seeming to come in first? Just to tease Trump?
AdLib 3 days ago
They always do. Easier to count!
funksands

CNN is frothing at Trump being ahead early in various states Hillary is expected to win. Froth away Wolfie.
AdLib 3 days ago
She’s running 7 points ahead of 2012 Obama in Palm Beach County
funksands

That’s very encouraging! And it sure seems that a lot of Trump areas are in already.
AdLib 3 days ago
In Duval County, a Repub county, Hillary is ahead. FL is looking very good.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wolf still frothing…or is that his beard?
AdLib 3 days ago
I’ve stopped watching CNN. Can barely stand to watch MSNBC. Enjoying SkyNews coverage
funksands

New Hampshire looking good!
funksands

I’ve got Directv, they have a special 4-screen page with CNN, MSNBC, Fox and BBC News so flipping between them.
AdLib 3 days ago
What’s NH now?
AdLib 3 days ago
Don’t see a lot of votes in yet for NH.
AdLib 3 days ago
Southern NH just came in and Hillary is up. That’s good
funksands

Sorry about harping on this but every 5 minutes, CNN has a “Key Race Alert” with the FL vote flopping back and forth. For people sho like being jerked aroound, CNN is Jerk Central.
AdLib 3 days ago
60% in FL and Hillary up by 2%.
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump wins SC. Again, no surprise.
AdLib 3 days ago
ha!
funksands

71% in FL and Hillary building lead!
AdLib 3 days ago
I wouldn’t mind getting to bed early…unless I’m going to stay up to see Trump refuse to concede.
AdLib 3 days ago
7 minutes until the next polls close!
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary up in FL and NC!
AdLib 3 days ago
72% in FL, Hillary up 2.6%
AdLib 3 days ago
That would be nice. I’m really much more concerned about the Senate. I think we’re going to end up at 50/50 Supreme Court at stake!
funksands

Did you hear about the two douchebags in WA State that are Dem Electors that will refuse to pledge their delegates? Blowback from overwhelming Bernie support in the state
funksands

I’m concerned too!
AdLib 3 days ago
Ah, they just answered the Florida question. All those votes were the early votes
funksands

hey Ad, Funk, are we there yet??????
pinkpantheroz

I heard of one elector saying that, now there are two? Someone needs to take a sack of manure to their heads.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep, two. Assholes
funksands

Hey PPO! We’re almost there! Hillary in the lead in OH!!!
AdLib 3 days ago
good news. My TV is in another room, so I cant type here and watch at the same time. Wall to wall coverage here, btw
pinkpantheroz

Uh oh…things are now swinging away from Trump to Hillary! Is Trump snorting something already?
AdLib 3 days ago
florida is too close to call, i hear
pinkpantheroz

Heh! I’ve got 4 screens going!
AdLib 3 days ago
sheer Luxureh! Ah’ve just got one tiny tube!
pinkpantheroz

Land of Lincoln!
funksands

Ah, I feel better now.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hillary wins IL, NJ, MA and MD. No surprises but good.
AdLib 3 days ago
Penn in yet?
pinkpantheroz

PPO – I’m watching in a mirror reflecting my neighbor’s tv!
AdLib 3 days ago
you win!
pinkpantheroz

Trump wins OK, TN and MS. Shocked?
AdLib 3 days ago
Nope.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hi, FD
pinkpantheroz

Hey P! How goes it?
Fuzzy Dunlop

RI, DE, DC all for Hillary (of course).
AdLib 3 days ago
trying to keep up with what’s happening. good coverage here, but all talk and no displays
pinkpantheroz

NY Times being much much more cautious about the electoral calls
funksands

come on Ohio. You went for Obama twice!
Fuzzy Dunlop

back shortly. need to catch up on states just closed
pinkpantheroz

Trump needs NC. Too early to call.
Fuzzy Dunlop

I think FL is showing that Latinos are making a big difference right now.
AdLib 3 days ago
TAMMY DUCKWORTH WINS!!!
AdLib 3 days ago
Tammy Duckworth winning.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hassan way ahead of Ayotte!
funksands

4 Senate wins to go!
AdLib 3 days ago
Including NV that is.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ross ahead of Burr early
funksands

Burr really needs to lose.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Nevada is going D
funksands

Funk – That’s great news! I know it’s early but better to be ahead!
AdLib 3 days ago
Indiana is disappointing. Bayh ran a terrible campaign
funksands

Funk – I think you’re right. That would mean only 3 other seats needed.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hey, it’s Indiana. Redneck central.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hillary ahead by 8% in NC.
AdLib 3 days ago
Woo Hoo! Yeah!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Damn Kornaki is annoying!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Huge report from Raleigh, that’s why. That lead is going to shrink
funksands

Funk – Bayh is a pretty messed up Dem, blue dog. Not surprised he was so compromised in his race but disappointed.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary winning white college educated in PA. They’re usually Repubs.
AdLib 3 days ago
I’ll take an 80% voting record Blue Dog over a GOP’er any day
funksands

The lead in NH is going to shrink too. But its really big
funksands

Lots more blue votes in FL with Hillary ahead.
AdLib 3 days ago
Who’s leading NH?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Leave it to LA to make the Church of Scientology a polling place…
funksands

Oh no. Tweety is philosophizing.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Clinton, Fuzzy by 15%
funksands

Hillary’s ahead by a bunch but still early.
AdLib 3 days ago
In NH.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah! Go NH! Thanks funk!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hillary winning by big margins in Dem counties in FL and swing counties.
AdLib 3 days ago
Come on OHIO!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hassan outperforming Clinton in NH. That’s a good sign
funksands

Funk – We have to get some usefulness from Scientology buildings.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk ?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Funk – That’s fantastic news!
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary still ahead in OH!
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah Tweety, you also said Trump won the last two debates! Moron!
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – You said it!
AdLib 3 days ago
neck and neck in TX, Fer cryin’ out loud!
pinkpantheroz

PPO – So funny!
AdLib 3 days ago
Aus tracker gives it 68-48 clinton so far
pinkpantheroz

Hillary is ahead with A LOT of Dem votes not in yet.
AdLib 3 days ago
In FL.
AdLib 3 days ago
Fla is looking good, but don’t want to put the hex on it!
pinkpantheroz

I think FL is looking very good for Hillary.
AdLib 3 days ago
Agreed PPO but looking good!
AdLib 3 days ago
i’m still flabbergasted that this race is still close. After all Trump has said and done. Unbelievable.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – I don’t think it’s so close, that’s just how it looks at this moment. Hillary leading in OH? She’s overperforming so far.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary’s leading in NC, FL, VA and OH. Pretty good!
AdLib 3 days ago
It’s still way closer than it should be.
Fuzzy Dunlop

factoring in the West coast definites, Aussie TV has it 182-111 HRC
pinkpantheroz

lot of rubio/clinton voters
funksands

Watch out for the Fla Panhandle – different crowd there.
pinkpantheroz

PPO – Some of panhandle already in but most of Palm County not in…and Hillary leading.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk, yep, that weasel Rubio wins on name alone. He’s worthless.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary overperforming in NC.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary ahead by 7 in OH!
AdLib 3 days ago
Get ready for a big shift in Virginia shortly. Nearly all of the rural vote in, only about 10-15% of the urban vote in
funksands

no such thing as overperforming, Ad. Just as long as she wins it!
pinkpantheroz

Funk – Great update on VA! Thanks!
AdLib 3 days ago
Evan Bayhs the farm.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary on target in NH with ’08 Obama, and ahead of ’12 Obama
funksands

Good news Funk, same in NC and FL so far.
AdLib 3 days ago
Behind both Obama votes in Ohio as expected
funksands

Hassan ahead by 13%?
AdLib 3 days ago
Ross ahead of Burr.
AdLib 3 days ago
Florida looking better when you look deeper. Only about half of the urban blue counties have reported
funksands

Palm Beach county for example only has 1/4 of their precincts reporting.
funksands

91% in FL with Trump barely ahead. Sure hope that 9% is Hillary heavy voting.
AdLib 3 days ago
It is
funksands

Nice!
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk, you’re keeping my blood pressure down. Half of the vote in TX…Hillary ahead!!!
AdLib 3 days ago
Their estimate on MSNBC is just that. NYTimes is using reported results. Only about 64% in
funksands

Funk – In FL 64% IS IN?
AdLib 3 days ago
Sorry about the caps, accidental.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yes
funksands

68 now. MSNBC using exit polling and early voting to estimate how much of the total vote is in. They’re a bit high
funksands

CNN, Fox and BBC also using the same estimates, all show 92% in.
AdLib 3 days ago
Got it.
AdLib 3 days ago
NYTimes showing the same number of votes, but a lower % reporting
funksands

Very interesting Funk! Such a discrepency is messed up.
AdLib 3 days ago
What’s interesting though is that there was only 8.4 million votes in Florida in 2012 and we’re almost there. maybe the times is wrong
funksands

Funk – Right now they’re the outlier.
AdLib 3 days ago
MSNBC talking about the lagging urban vote in Florida
funksands

Half of Palm still out, much of Broward still out.
AdLib 3 days ago
Gonna be close!
funksands

It is close!
AdLib 3 days ago
Mch closer than it ever should be.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yep, this could be a lot later night than I had planned!
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump has a long uphill battle tonight anyway.
AdLib 3 days ago
FL is stuck at 92%!
AdLib 3 days ago
Something is wrong, CNN keeps showing Trump gaining but still shows 91% of the vote. SOmething’s messed up.
AdLib 3 days ago
Cnn generally screws everything up. I wouldn’t trust them.
Fuzzy Dunlop

i’m not too sure about MSNBC either.
Fuzzy Dunlop

MSNBC has the same bad numbers. Both keep saying though that lots of votes from the Dem counties are still out. They’re saying 1 million votes still not counted.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, that’s a bit of hope. I expect things to go better for Hillary the later it gets.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – Agreed, the big cities are always lagging and Dem votes are in the cities.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah, most repub votes do come from the more rural areas. Ohio still looks good. A strange mix of both here.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – That would be pretty unexpected.
AdLib 3 days ago
What would?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hillary winning OH. Polls have showed it going for Trump for a long time.
AdLib 3 days ago
No she’s ahead in Ohio.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Hillary ahead in NH so far.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary ahead now in Miss? Wow.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Missouri
Fuzzy Dunlop

This is the craziest election I can remember, the back and forth!
AdLib 3 days ago
I don’t know why they keep comparing this to Rmoney in 2012?
Fuzzy Dunlop

They have to babble about something while they wait for numbers to come in.
AdLib 3 days ago
Tweety is good at babbling.
Fuzzy Dunlop

And he’ll babble about all kinds of conflicting things.
AdLib 3 days ago
California is going big for Hillary I think.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yep but that’s in the bag. We need NV and hold onto NC and VA.
AdLib 3 days ago
I think we may have Nevada. A big Hispanic vote there.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – But we were supposed to have that in FL and look how close it is.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yeah but they’re Cuban, and out west they’re mostly Mexican, and they really hate Trump.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – A lot of Puerto Ricans outnumbering Cubans though and they’re Dem leaning.
AdLib 3 days ago
Damn, gramps McCain wins again. He really needs to spend more time with the family, so to speak.
Fuzzy Dunlop

McCain wins, will be a senator now until he’s 92!
AdLib 3 days ago
But the Mexicans really, really hate Trump!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yep but Hillary has to hold onto some of these other states in the east.
AdLib 3 days ago
Absolutely.
Fuzzy Dunlop

What concerns me is that Hillary isn’t locking up the blue states she’s supposed to win like Trump is locking up the red states he’s supposed to win.
AdLib 3 days ago
It’s early still.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Oh shit, Trump tied with Hillary in NC.
Fuzzy Dunlop

But the largest Dem county isn’t counting any of today’s vote yet.
AdLib 3 days ago
If Hillary wins the election by a small margin, the Trumpies are going to start some shit.
Fuzzy Dunlop

What I might propose though is that since small rural areas come in first, Trump will lead in a close election.
AdLib 3 days ago
I have a hard time believing Trump will win the election. Is America that god damned stupid?
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – It’s still an uphill battle for him. But there are a lot of ignorant people out there. It is hard to believe there are more morons than reasonable people out there.
AdLib 3 days ago
Very sad.
Fuzzy Dunlop

We might not know anything final until midnight EST!
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yep. We just have to be patient.
AdLib 3 days ago
A bit confusing, to say the least
pinkpantheroz

Hey glenn! Have any fingernails left?
AdLib 3 days ago
Okay I’m back. Virginia only unpleasant surprise right now
funksands

I’m getting worried.
glenn

Me too, glenn. But we have to be patient, the urban vote is almost always last so in close elections, the Dem will be down until the end.
AdLib 3 days ago
Damn, I wanted a big landslide. It would have been if so many Americans weren’t so damned stupid.
Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – Yep, me too. But even if she loses FL, as long as she keeps VA, she can be okay. VA is actually looking okay, tied but lots of Dem votes out.
AdLib 3 days ago
It’s difficult to be patient when I see trump with this big a lead. Could the pollsters be this wrong?
glenn

There are 19 million first time voters this year. That could explain the crazy numbers.
Fuzzy Dunlop

glenn – Hillary only had a 1%-2% lead so if Trump was to win by 1%, that’s in the margin of error.
AdLib 3 days ago
In FL that is.
AdLib 3 days ago
I wonder if there is a stealth vote against having a woman President?
AdLib 3 days ago
This does make one wonder. I don’t really think so, though. A lot of stupid women are voting for Trump.
Fuzzy Dunlop

But I wonder if there is still a hidden prejudice for that reason.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ad, I expect there is. Not everyone is ready for that believe it or not
funksands

That’s one of those rhetoricals, right?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Yeah, but even against a total doosh like Trump?
Fuzzy Dunlop

Well, it is going to be a long night so best not to jump to conclusions.
AdLib 3 days ago
Now the pundits are just blathering, no new numbers. What’s taking sotuhern FL so long to come in?
AdLib 3 days ago
I agree about Fl, but every projection I saw said that Hillary had about a 90 percent chance to win. This is getting scary!
glenn

Xander doing very well in Missouri
funksands

Don’t panic, yet, glenn. Although, I’m trying not to, right now.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Kander rather
funksands

Agreed glenn, this isn’t the way things were supposed to be. But Hillary has multiple paths to win.
AdLib 3 days ago
Kander? Really? Cool!
AdLib 3 days ago
Fuzzy, I am trying not to panic. I cannot believe trump is doing so well.
glenn

Yep, outperforming Clinton by 105
funksands

10%
funksands

Me neither glenn. I guess RW media is more effective than I thought.
Fuzzy Dunlop

But Ad, if Hillary loses Fl that takes away a large part of her path!
glenn

Hang in there, a lot of disappointments so far but still so many results in question.
AdLib 3 days ago
glenn – FL was not needed by Hillary, it was needed by Trump. If he wins it, she can still win but she has to hold onto the rest of the states she was expected to win.
AdLib 3 days ago
One bright spot is that Tammy Duckworth is projected to win. Yea!
glenn

I think we’re going to squeak out Virginia folks. Waaaaay closer than I expected. If she wins it, she’s probably golden barring a disaster in Michigan
funksands

Funk – Yes, it may not be a big win for Hillary but if she can hold onto VA, MI and even NC, she should be okay.
AdLib 3 days ago
Florida looking grim
funksands

Ad, therein lies the “rub”. With the results being this close, will she take the states she was supposed to take?
glenn

Women only 51% for Hillary in Florida
funksands

Way underperforming the rest of her likely states
funksands

Funk – Pro-Grope women?
AdLib 3 days ago
Damn old farts in Fl
glenn

They like bad boys I guess
funksands

Does James Comey have a hand in this or what?
AdLib 3 days ago
Tribe and identity trump issues and temperment
funksands

no pun intended
funksands

Throwing up.
Questinia

Don’t even want to answer that question Ad!
glenn

Q – Packing up.
AdLib 3 days ago
This is a bit rough, having to wait on the results from the big Dem cities to come in.
AdLib 3 days ago
FL isn’t looking good.
AdLib 3 days ago
If Trump wins OH, NC, FL then Virginia is a must for Clinton. Her only other wild card is Iowa left on the board
funksands

Just saw that trump is ahead by a very small (1 percent) in Va. Yikes!
glenn

I think Trump wins OH but hopefully not NC.
AdLib 3 days ago
You can always count on FL to let you down.
AdLib 3 days ago
This is getting very bad!
glenn

John Mica lost his seat. Good news
funksands

Hillary is looking okay to come back in VA.
AdLib 3 days ago
Dow futures down 500 points.
AdLib 3 days ago
Florida highest turnout in history. Wow
funksands

Funk – That’s not as surprising considering how energized both sides are. I’ll bet there are high vote levels in a number of states.
AdLib 3 days ago
MgGinty, Kander, looking very good. Ayotte just pulled ahead
funksands

Funk – I think this is truly going to be a long night. Hillary may have to squeak this out and can. Trump only ahead by 10k votes in VA and a lot of Dem votes outstanding. She can do it.
AdLib 3 days ago
But damn, having to see Trump ahead in nearly every swing state??? WTH?
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk–and mostly for trump. Awful!
glenn

glenn – Again, she can win but it’s looking like she would need to squeak it out.
AdLib 3 days ago
I’m going to have to come back later. The suspense is killing me. See you folks in an hour or so. Keep the old fingers crossed.
Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad, my sentiments exactly. WTH is going on?
glenn

I love your optimism, Ad. I’m running around the room flapping my hands
Questinia

Pennsylvania looking better than expected, Michigan worse than expected
funksands

I’m with FD. I’ m outta here for a while.
glenn

Q – It ain’t over till it’s over!
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – It’s sure better to be starting ahead and not having to have to catch up in every swing state.
AdLib 3 days ago
Until the recount’s are over!
Questinia

Q – Just remember, the election is rigged so if Trump wins, it’s not legit.
AdLib 3 days ago
{{Xanax, Klonopin, Valium}} guzzle-guzzle
Questinia

Q – I’ll have a double.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – In MI, most of the votes are from rural areas.
AdLib 3 days ago
VA – Hillary ahead now by 2K.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary’s looking better in VA.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep, 538 thinks its very likey that she wins
funksands

Funk – Yep, I lock up the panic button until the final results come in.
AdLib 3 days ago
NYT’s has Trump at 58%. 538 is based on 12 hrs ago, right?
Questinia

So is Hillary’s struggling a reflection on her or of the underestimated ignorant and angry voters out there?
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump already preparing his protest. This election is too close. He won’t concede. I think Hillary still wins, but I’m imagining an ugly scenario
funksands

Q – 58% where?
AdLib 3 days ago
58% chance of winning.
Questinia

marijuana passing on all 7 ballots. there’s that. 🙂
funksands

Funk – As long as she wins, all the rest will eventually be irrelevant.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – Don’t forget, 538 was completely wrong about tonight, I wouldn’t give any of their claims weight now, Silver has messed up repeatedly.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ignorance and anger is propelling vote.
Questinia

I thought Silver was golden?
Questinia

Q – Nope, he’s taken a lot of criticism for arbitrary weighting of polls and his polls are proving completely wrong tonight.
AdLib 3 days ago
538 was the most conservative estimate about the election results. A full 30% below the rest of the firms that had it 90-99% for Clinton
funksands

Funk – Yes but his critics say that he has a habit of weighting polls arbitrarily and changing his polls after the fact too be closer to outcomes.
AdLib 3 days ago
Still waiting for results…
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump wins MO.
AdLib 3 days ago
MI making me nervous
funksands

Hillary now up 16k in VA.
AdLib 3 days ago
How could the polls have been SO WRONG?!
Questinia

Funk – You and me both.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q, they haven’t been that wrong
funksands

Q – My guess is that they greatly underestimated turnout by the white uneducated and maybe those who can’t abide a woman as President.
AdLib 3 days ago
But in a race this close, it doesn’t take much to upset the projections
funksands

I never saw any polling on how voters felt about having a woman president.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – True but there are some big swings between polling and where the numbers are right now.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wisconsin’s worrisome now too.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep
funksands

Can she sneak out Iowa? That would be an awesome wrinkle
funksands

Funk – Have you found a site that has current numbers and details? The sites I’m looking at are lagging.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – Iowa is so white, that’s hard to imagine right now.
AdLib 3 days ago
Sorry, gotta go. Must find my brown trousers
pinkpantheroz

Burr won, Dems having trouble winning Senate.
AdLib 3 days ago
Not really, NYTimes and LA times are so busy they keep shutting down
funksands

This may all come down to MI and WI. Who knew?
funksands

It’s crazy Funk. But it ain’t over.
AdLib 3 days ago
Dem pundits sounding choked up right now…we know why.
AdLib 3 days ago
Too many Hillary voters only motivated by their antipathy for Trump.
funksands

Yep and too many Trump voters energized by hate.
AdLib 3 days ago
And fear.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ohio for trump
funksands

In MI, it could be a nailbiter.
AdLib 3 days ago
WI too. More worried about WI now
funksands

The story looks to be all about the riled up white vote.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wow…I can’t even imagine what would happen to this country if Trump wins and has a Repub congress.
AdLib 3 days ago
Hillary wins VA!
AdLib 3 days ago
People have been giving Trump a big pass.
Questinia

As many people do with con-artists
Questinia

Q – So true, including the MSM because he was good for ratings.
AdLib 3 days ago
There won’t be much of an independent MSM left if Trump won. But that hasn’t happened yet.
AdLib 3 days ago
So Q, what country would you move to if Trump won?
AdLib 3 days ago
P.T. Barnum Trump will throw out the press—> More investigative pre-Watergate reporting —> and so it goes
Questinia

Remember how the press was submissive to Bush after 9/11? That’s what I’m afraid would happen.
AdLib 3 days ago
Bin Laden is dancing the polka.
Questinia

Putin is too!
AdLib 3 days ago
News is entertainment and so is Trump. NYT’s expects Trump to win 87%.
Questinia

She’s down in MI and it looks like she really needs it.
AdLib 3 days ago
I won’t be able to stand the SMUG SWAGGER.
Questinia

Hillary wins CO but that ain’t enough.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – That’s just the beginning. I really can’t imagine the destruction to the country if he wins. It’s like The South winning the Civil War.
AdLib 3 days ago
Destruction to the globe. Europe is probably quaking. Putin and Trump dividing the countries up.
Questinia

So I guess it’s down to MI now?
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – Maybe even nuclear war?
AdLib 3 days ago
Absolutely. Trump biographer predicted loss of civilization.
Questinia

Obamacare, the Iran nuke agreement, the Paris Accords…the whole past 8 years destroyed?
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – I don’t want to be apocalyptic about this but…
AdLib 3 days ago
Giuliani as Attorney General? Torture people, throw people in jail.
Questinia

Newt Gingrich as SoS?
AdLib 3 days ago
Starting wars around the world?
AdLib 3 days ago
Constitution? Passe
Questinia

And all those Latinos and Muslims?
AdLib 3 days ago
It’s too disturbing to think about.
AdLib 3 days ago
She’s got to win MI and WI or its over
funksands

Part of me was preparing for this. But I can’t watch…
Questinia

Funk – Yep, that’s what it comes down to. MI and WI or Hell comes to stay for 4 years.
AdLib 3 days ago
Tell me about it. I have a retreat with my new partners tomorrow and we’ve been joking about scrapping the agenda if Trump wins because I’m going to have to go get a job somewhere to get health insurance. Ha…..
funksands

Funk – I couldn’t believe that this could happen either. So many lives will be damaged not to mention the nation, democracy, economy and global stability.
AdLib 3 days ago
I am back only to say I am so depressed I’m going to bed. Looks like the world has turned upside down and I’m going to pull the covers over my head and hope for the best. I’m afraid even if she does win it ain’t going to be over, so I can’t stress any more. Good night all. Hope to wake up to better news, but it isn’t looking good.
glenn

64k vote difference in MI with half the vote in.
AdLib 3 days ago
McGinty ahead of Toomey.
AdLib 3 days ago
My 12 year old, recently partly out of the closet is in his room trying to reassure one of his friends that Trump isn’t going to put her in jail if he wins
funksands

America has been gaslighted
Questinia

Glenn, I feel you
funksands

Funk – Jeez…hate to see her going through this. It’s not over yet though!
AdLib 3 days ago
WI looking bad.
funksands

Q – The uneducated have been gaslighted, the educated in both the GOP and Dems know he is a dangerous con man.
AdLib 3 days ago
For sure. Iowa? Iowa could give her 271 if she loses Wisconsin and NH. I can’t believe I’ve resorted to this.
funksands

Feingold is down too…even if she pulls out MI, WI is very hard to turn around.
AdLib 3 days ago
Not looking very good fer murikkka.
Harleigh

Nope Harleigh. Guess my French classes may finally come in handy.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – It’s possible and not a long shot but not as probable.
AdLib 3 days ago
Feingold losing is unbelievable
funksands

We know people that have bought homes in mexico and south amer.
Harleigh

Funk – I know. What happened to WI? It’s ground zero for the GOP now with Ryan, Priebus and Walker…and the Kochs.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ad, that is the state that would absolutely defy the polls
funksands

Funk – I hope it’s the same story for IA.
AdLib 3 days ago
She can lose WI. She can’t lose Michigan
funksands

She can win MI.\
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump wins NC. Uh oh…
AdLib 3 days ago
NC Gaaaaaaaaah
Questinia

NYT’s has Trump winning at 95%.
Questinia

Funk – Hate to say it but the only path for Hillary if she loses WI, I can see is her winning IA and MI.
AdLib 3 days ago
Even then, if she loses one of the votes in ME it’s 269/269.
AdLib 3 days ago
Waiting on MI right now.
AdLib 3 days ago
The MSM hosts all seem in shock.
AdLib 3 days ago
MSNBC is all but saying it looks like tump and repub congress. uh-oh
Harleigh

Michigan looking better, Wisconsin not so much. If she loses Wisconsin, she has to win Iowa or its done
funksands

Harleigh – I think that would be the case. Now the only power the Dems would have is the filibuster.
AdLib 3 days ago
If Hillary can’t pull this off, that is.
AdLib 3 days ago
that would be about all. BENGHAZI for 4 more years, email… LOL
Harleigh

So 20 million people lose health care, Iran is freed to develop nukes, inflation skyrockets as he puts tariffs on foreign goods, an ICE task force hunts down undocumented immigrants, torture is brought back…it’s mond numbing.
AdLib 3 days ago
mind
AdLib 3 days ago
A con man swindles the Presidency away?
AdLib 3 days ago
It is wild that a man with the impulse control and neediness of a two year old will have the top job in the world. Dr. Strangelove.
Questinia

yep. and we got back row seats to watch this replay of 1936 germany. this won’t be pretty, and last of the news MSM will be real propaganda chamber.
Harleigh

538 analyst just came out and send to start “mentally preparing yourself”
funksands

Q – Yes, that’s pretty much what we’ll have. A maniac with his finger on the button.
AdLib 3 days ago
*said*
funksands

I wonder if the 40% of eligible voters who didn’t vote care?
funksands

Funk – As Q has been updating, it is a near certainty according to most predictions now. I can’t get there though.
AdLib 3 days ago
not yet they don’t care funk… it’s coming.
Harleigh

She’s behind in Iowa now. Holy shit
funksands

Funk – And what about all the young voters who refused to vote and the Johnson and Stein voters?
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump is a black box. He is a marketer. Who knows what he really thinks?
Questinia

Funk – I don’t see another path for Hillary if she loses at least WI and doesn’t win IA, do you?
AdLib 3 days ago
There is none
funksands

Q – We do know that he has a hair trigger anger, is vengeful and a narcisist. This doesn’t end well.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – I don’t see one.
AdLib 3 days ago
His personality structure is super scary. I wish I was not a psychiatrist.
Questinia

Q – This is profoundly frightening.
AdLib 3 days ago
We are getting bombarded by friends in other countries that are absolutely horrified and asking us if the US is going to survive.
funksands

Iowa for Trump. Fuck me
funksands

Funk – That’s pretty much it. My God.
AdLib 3 days ago
She’s close in MI but she has to win WI too.
AdLib 3 days ago
florida went trump! and re elected Rubio. oh fuck
Harleigh

Because we want to hear Trump say “Little Marco”…. and we’ll all laugh.
Questinia

Harleigh – That seemed inevitable earlier. Now the only path for Hillary is winning MI and WI.
AdLib 3 days ago
WI looks very unlikely for Hillary to pull out.
AdLib 3 days ago
she has to run the table
Harleigh

doubtful. DOW futures are dropping like a rock….
Harleigh

Trump- Swagger loudly and carry a big stick.
Questinia

Yes but I looked at a map and it doesn’t look like she has enough districts left in WI to win.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – A little stick, in Trump’s case.
AdLib 3 days ago
It’s hard to see how she wins without winning MI and WI. If one of those is called for Trump, that sure seems like the nail in the coffin.
AdLib 3 days ago
I can’t watch any more MSNBC and Mathews. ^gag^
Harleigh

Well now the nightmare begins…. nite guys
Harleigh

Yep. God help us all. We are about to live a history lesson.

AdLib 3 days ago
Trump gets whoever he wants. 50 votes
funksands

No filibuster on judicial nominees
funksands

Nuclear option?
AdLib 3 days ago
Obama saved the auto industry. WTF?!
Questinia

Q – Angry uneducated white people usually vote against their own interests.
AdLib 3 days ago
The more economically destabalized a nation becomes, the more authoritarian they’ll vote. It’s been like this forever
funksands

Funk – It’s called fascism.
AdLib 3 days ago
Eventually
funksands

Funk – I think it happens pretty quickly with one party rule.
AdLib 3 days ago
Think Chuck Schumer has the balls to filibuster every piece of legislation that GOP puts through? Doubt it.
funksands

Funk – I wouldn’t count on it and I wonder if Repubs don’t use the muclear option to prevent Dems from filibustering.
AdLib 3 days ago
nuclear
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump ran on thinly-veiled anti-Semitism. Chuck Schumer is Jewish. It is so freaky to think of what is possible.
Questinia

Now, I don’t know if any Dem candidate could have won against Trump. I wasn’t pessimistic enough about how many ignorant, hateful and fearful people populate this country.
AdLib 3 days ago
If they’re smart they will. They’ve got 2-4 years to do nearly anything they like.
funksands

Q – He ran as a bigot and was endorsed by the KKK. This is beyond belief for those of us who aren’t rural people.
AdLib 3 days ago
I know plenty of rural people that think he’s a clown but are simply going to vote GOP because they always have and they hate Hillary
funksands

Clinton underperformed Obama 2012 with both blacks and latinos
funksands

The rural people don’t even care about Russia’s role. I always wondered why more wasn’t made of Russia.
Questinia

Funk – That’s what I said though, rural, uneducated and angry white people. This is their revenge for social progress and the way of the world moving blue coollar jobs out of the country. They
AdLib 3 days ago
They’re too ignorant to knoow they
AdLib 3 days ago
Michael Moore was right.
Questinia

they’re being conned and that their lives will now be destroyed.
AdLib 3 days ago
The only saving grace is Trump’s unpredictability and incompetence. We may end up keeping the ACA but in a war with Sweden
funksands

Q he sure was
funksands

So Social Security is going to be privatized and cut and Medicare will be slashed.
AdLib 3 days ago
I wonder if Ginsburg can hang on for 4 more years? I don’t think so.
funksands

Funk – Appreciate the humor!
AdLib 3 days ago
I know Repubs thought Obama winning meant the end of America but truly, this isn’t the same. We could be witnesses to the permanent denigration of the country and democracy.
AdLib 3 days ago
Goodbye Roe v. Wade.
AdLib 3 days ago
Voter oppression will be sanctioned to keep him in office.
AdLib 3 days ago
Sorry too be so cheery.
AdLib 3 days ago
Excuse my sticking “o” key.
AdLib 3 days ago
Wisconsin is hopeless. Hillary has lost.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ad, I think we are seeing the beginning of a realignment of coalitions. In the short term its not going to be good. But mid-term I think thinks are going to look very different. Not necessarily better! But very very different.
funksands

Funk – The problem is that once apsects of our society and democracy are destroyed, they may be gone forever.
AdLib 3 days ago
Maddow is making the point that 3rd party voting more than accounts for the difference of Hillary’s loss in a number of states.
AdLib 3 days ago
Matthews is such an ass, he claims Trump will sign immigration reform! What a weasel!
AdLib 3 days ago
Moral of the story? Never make fun of a narcissist at a press corps dinner.
Questinia

Masto wins in Nevada
funksands

There will be a flood of anger from the Left, most of it will be aimed at Trump but some will be aimed at the Dem Establishment for helping to cause this situation.
AdLib 3 days ago
That’s good!
funksands

Funk – A little good news.
AdLib 3 days ago
Well deserved too
funksands

Absolutely. We’ll need all the Senators we can have to fight against Trump and the Repub machine.
AdLib 3 days ago
To both parties.
funksands

But Repubs are so happy now, they aren’t mad at their establishment that stepped aside to let Trump become President.
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump may seek revenge on Paul Ryan and others he sees as not supporting him but the Repub rank and file will be thrilled.
AdLib 3 days ago
That will fade. But the clock is ticking. Trump will be a huge liability several months after taking office. GOP leaders know they have to hustle
funksands

Okay, silver lining stuff seems a bit desperate usually so take this with a grain of salt but after 4 years of Trump and Repubs assaulting America, Dems may win in 2020, when redistricting is up which could help down the line. But in the meantime, I think we’re in for a dismantling of much of our social safety net and standard of living.
AdLib 3 days ago
Funk – What do you mean by hustle?
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump leading in PA now. This is a landslide as predicted…but for Trump.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep, I fear the same. Meaning that Trump will become very unpopular, and so will they after several months. If the are going to get their dreams passed through Congress they’ll have to act quick
funksands

Pennsylvania looks to be going Trump
funksands

But he gets to be President for 4 years and he has to sign and approve any bill. He will suppport many bills like banning Planned Parenthood, privatizing SS, etc.
AdLib 3 days ago
Night Gracie
funksands

Yep, that’s that.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ad, I really enjoyed talking with you. It’s going to be a very interesting next couple of months/years. Looks like everyone had better roll up their sleeves and get ready to work

I said throughout the primaries that Hillary was a weaker candidate than Bernie but I don’t know if he could have won against this angry white rural voote.
AdLib 3 days ago
I think he would have beaten Trump. I don’t think he would have beaten any of the other GOP candidates. He would have sucked a lot of Trumps oxygen away

Funk – Same here. You’re right, we will have to accept living as the opposition to our government for 4 years. I hated that under Bush, this will be worse.
AdLib 3 days ago
The polls always showed Bernie would do much better against Trump. We’ll never know for sure but he may have.
AdLib 3 days ago
Take care Funk!
AdLib 3 days ago
Well Q, so much for sanity for the next 4 years.
AdLib 3 days ago
Maybe I’ll get more business.

Dow futures down over 750 already.

Just checking, I’m awake now, right?

I don’t know if you’re sleeping. It may be smoke and mirrors. A reverse feeling from 2008.

The opposite of hope and change.

We will have to adapt. Change to the point of destabilization. It will be a true test to our system/

Thanks for that! I’ll need to work it out for a while, this is quite a lot to process.

I think many are at their best when they have to fight against the unjust. It’s just not as enjoyable as seeing things going in the right direction.
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump won’t be hanging out with the people who elected him. He wants to be liked. He defines himself by the outside and he marketed himself to win. He is an acolyte of George Steinbrenner who taught him to do whatever it takes.
Questinia

I think he will be softened by the people he needs to like him… the elites.
Questinia

Q – He will remain a narcisist with a fragile temper who’s vengeful and impulsive. He can’t become another person at 70 years old.
AdLib 3 days ago
I am hoping he will be!

Not trying to be negative but a leopard can’t change its spots.

Life will continue but many aspects of our society and demoocracy will be under constant attack.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – I get that. But if he embraces Muslims and Latinos, his base will get mad at him. If he doesn’t build his wall or sanction China…won’t he want them to like him?
AdLib 3 days ago
He won’t need his base anymore.
Questinia

Q – I don’t know…he’s not going to become Progressive, he’ll need them to be re-elected.
AdLib 3 days ago
They were used, he needs narcissistic supply from the place he deems worthy of his stature.
Questinia

Yes, I agree but they are in his pocket and gratify his need for adoration. Those opposed to him will never embrace him, he can’t get what he needs from you or me.
AdLib 3 days ago
They had to take his Twitter account away from him, he has no self-control. I can’t see how he suddenly becomes a reasonable person.
AdLib 3 days ago
He will never be reasonable. But his weakness is a blind need to be liked. It might get Pavlovian. Clap and cheer for when Trump does something approaching good. Please note I am doing major spinning now!
Questinia

Q – I do appreciate it!
AdLib 3 days ago
But this is a man whose whole campaign began and was based on bigotry against “the others”. Hard to imagine someone with his character caring more about moderates approving of him (which will never happen) than keeping his ego gratifying army.
AdLib 3 days ago
America was based on boom and bust… Not very big critical thinkers but very angry ones. Let’s hope some kind of phoenix emerges from the ashes of this scorched earth,
Questinia

He’s become President, he’s been validated that he can be a monster and be rewarded with becoming the most powerful man in the world. To someone with his ego, that would seem more like carte blanche to fulfill any and every whim noo matter who would be pissed off. As he said, he could shoot someone and not lose his followers. He just might now.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – I do think that will happen but some of what we have today will become ashes first. Obama came because of the destructions of Bush, someone else from the Dems will come because of Trump. But I’m afraid much will be lost for good along the way.
AdLib 3 days ago
Ad- Yes. Yes. And yes. But he’ll have to deliver more than a fantasy to sustain hubris-filled behavior.
Questinia

Q – One would hope so but his supporters are so ignorant that he can call manure gold and they’ll believe it.
AdLib 3 days ago
Things that are lost are not necessarily irretrievable. Unfortunately that occurs on a different time line than human-life scale.

Snake oil salesmen come and go. We are in a narcissistic phase. This was predictable after 9/11. We got handouts from the hospital I worked at to expect leaders like Trump coming out of the attacks
Questinia

Q – I’ll agree with that. You know, it’s kind of ironic that Hillary set up that private email server, likely to keep her emails private so they couldn’t be used against her by political enemies…and yet it’s what appears to have been what was used to defeat her.
AdLib 3 days ago
coming out *after* the attacks.

And they bought another house in Chappaqua and didn’t get permits to make changes. It is ironic about the emails. It makes one wonder,
Questinia

Q – Really? Very interesting. It does seem to me though that what’s behind this is both the resistence by the rural Americans to the racial and social changes to the country and their economic decline due to the wealthy like Trump skewing the economic system to benefit themselves at the expense of blue collar workers. And now they’ve elected someone who will only further the pain, hatred and fear they feel.
AdLib 3 days ago
Narcissists USE people then DISCARD them. Look at how Trump didn’t pay back whoever served him.
Questinia

Q – Hillary lost her last big election in kind of a similar way. Plenty of missteps but primarily, her opponent (Obama) had passion behind him and Hillary wasn’t inspirational and lost a race she should have won easily. She almost lost the primary to Bernie, a race she should have won easily. Now, she lost an even bigger race she should have won easily. She is not a good politician or campaigner, doesn’t inspire passion and came with so much baggage. She would have lost to Jeb or Kasich too I think. On one hand, this is a shock, on the other hand, it is part of a pattern.
AdLib 3 days ago
Q – Good point. They’re always looking for people to use. I’m just suggesting that those who opposed him in the election won’t submit to being used by him once he’s President. He’s got his choir already, why discard it for one that might not sing for him?
AdLib 3 days ago
I think Trump will saber rattle and rattle louder than a lot of kooks in power out there. He postures better than Hillary. I totally agree about deja vu with Obama and Bernie. She is not resonating authentically with the passion of the times.
Questinia

So do you think Trump will buck his party and his core voters to do a 180 on all he’s promised to do?
AdLib 3 days ago
I think he will do what HE wants to do. He won’t owe anybody (except maybe Putin)
Questinia

She was an old school candidate, an analogue politician in a digital age. Trump was plugged into the times and she wasn’t.

Doris Kearns Goodwin is on MSNBC, expressing similar thoughts that Trump’s election represents the push back against the changing racial and economic state that rural folks are afraid of.

Afraid of the future.

Comey and ACA costs did not help.

AdLib 3 days ago
I am expecting to start paying $2,000 a month for health care that I can only obtain in my state. The problem is will corporate aspects of health become emboldened?
Questinia

As for the ACA coosts, the MSM pumped up that story, the increase was mostly covered by government payments, The hysteria was a fraud. Now, instead of paying more, they won’t have any insurance. How crazy is that?
AdLib 3 days ago
You are among those who’ve really been hurt by that increase. But if you have a pre-existing condition, you may not be able to get any insurance once the ACA is killed.
AdLib 3 days ago
The ASA needed to be fixed but now it will be killed.
AdLib 3 days ago
In other words will I have to pay $3000 an month? That would force me to work for a corporate entity and I’d have to say good bye to a private practice. Yes on the pre-existing condition as a horror. Maybe that part can be kept. Who doesn’t have a pre-existing condition?
Questinia

Q – The costs went up because not enough healthy young people without pre-existing coonditions bought insurance. It’s a chicken and egg thing. Without government helping to subsidize insurance, there’s no way the provision on not banning people with pre-existing conditions can be kept. That will be ended with the ACA.
AdLib 3 days ago
MSNBC is like Fox was in 2008. Dumbfounded.
Questinia

That’s the whole thing. Insurance companies don’t want to have to pay out, now they can go back too only covering healthier people and build bigger profits.
AdLib 3 days ago
Yep, this time it was the moderates and Progressives who feel, look and sound bushwhacked.
AdLib 3 days ago
Young people also covered longer under their parent’s policies so no need to pay in I suppose.
Questinia

Right but that was working for the ACA. They expected millions of more young people to get insured but they weren’t insured in any way.
AdLib 3 days ago
Trump will be grabbing Merkel’s pussy. And she was shocked by the Bush shoulder rub!
Questinia

And that provision will end. Like the pre-existing condition aspect, they were mandated and financed by the ACA. When the ACA is gone, thoose will be gone, likely for the rest of our lifetimes. It took 50 years too get it passed.
