Many radio stations play the heck out of the biggest hits by top artists which can kind of burn you out on those songs. Which is why I love deep tracks, great songs that don’t get as much play as the hits but are just as enjoyable.
So this weekend’s music thread is about sharing the less known songs from your favorite artists, the deep tracks or newer songs that you really enjoy and may be new to others.
I’m going to start with some newer songs from some of my fave classic artists:
A new one from David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame:
From last year’s Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album:
From 2012, Don Fagen of Steely Dan:
Now a couple of older ones beginning with this one from The Who:
Lastly, one from a young Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits:
Love this. Incredible piano AND message.
Hey, The Kinks say, “Live Life”!
Anyone remember this song?
This song goes out to the ***chickenhawks*** who want war but won’t serve.
This one is a classic, in my opinion.
