Testing from the non-yacht non-club. Hey PPO!

AdLib3 hours ago

Hey CL!

AdLib2 hours ago

You two are a hoot. Should do Vauldville

choicelady

He Ad. Where’d PPO go? Good to see YOU.

choicelady

Heh! You and TW should join us!

AdLib2 hours ago

Hey TW!

AdLib2 hours ago

Good evening everyone

twilson117

Just watching and listening to the strike the US carried out, lot going on over there.

twilson117

So the Jack Smith 1/6 case is off the calendar until the 2nd Circuit gets off its butt and rules on immunity but that allows the Bragg case, also a criminal case, push forward in March.

AdLib2 hours ago

TW – I’ve been out, where did the US strike?

AdLib2 hours ago

TW – PPO and Ad were suggesting we could do Vaudeville. I can do a ‘ball and change” but that’s about it. The two of them are the slap and tickle comics IMHO.

choicelady

Ad – I heard a bit on MSNBC and couldn’t get the geography clear in my mind.

choicelady

CL – Together though, we’d all make quite a show!

AdLib2 hours ago

TW – we will get the SOB one way or another.

choicelady

Ad – that we would!

choicelady

Ad in part of Iraq that seem to count to the US but I’ve been snoozing a bit some didn’t get all the names.

twilson117

CL a vaudeville act that sounds good.

twilson117

NYT Headline: U.S. Strikes Over 85 Targets at 7 Sites in Iraq and Syria Against Iran’s Forces and Proxies

AdLiban hour ago

Hey Harleigh!

AdLiban hour ago

Harleigh is in the house.

twilson117

OK question – if SCOTUS allows states – some states – to take Yam Man off the ballot for insurrection and other choose to keep him, is that not WORSE for everyone with the Cult declaring – actually rightly – that the Fix was In. Seems to me it’s EVERYONE taking him off or NO ONE taking him off.

choicelady

Harleigh – How are you surviving the return of DeLoser to the state?

AdLiban hour ago

hey folks!

Harleigh

HARLEIGH!!! Hi, our dear friend.

choicelady

he is silent… all those million$$$ for 25,000 votes

Harleigh

hi cl

Harleigh

DeSantis lost more expensively than anyone I can recall.

choicelady

CL are you suggesting the courts will cut the baby in half?

twilson117

Howdy Doody!

MurphTheSurf3

Murph is in the house!

twilson117

CL – If the SCOTUS allows Trump to taken off any ballots, it means they agree that Trump is not qualified to hold the office of President. Thus, the GOP will be in the biggest bind. Their nominee is not eligible to become president even if he won enough electors. So at that point, the GOP will be forced to choose someone else, Trump will go insane and demand his MAGAs write him in as an independent and the GOP will be reduced to ashes.

AdLiban hour ago

Hey Murph!

AdLiban hour ago

TW – I actually hope not. It’s either he’s violated the 14th or he hasn’t. If we have Biden win we 50 but Trump is off a handful of ballots and loses, the RW really WILL believe the fix is in. I think it’s dangerous. All or nothing.

choicelady

hi murph

Harleigh

MURPH!!!

choicelady

Hello one and all……had an exciting week with the rescue and aid group I am working with for women who have the gall to think that their bodies are theirs! Imagine!

MurphTheSurf3

Another realization. If Smith’s 1/6 case against Trump takes place and has a verdict before the election, which I think it will, then Trump will be convicted of crimes involving a conspiracy to defraud the country in elections. This is a definite de-qualifier under the 14th Amendment. Wouldn’t a guilty verdict in the Smith case cause a new action by states to remove his name since circumstances have changed and he’s now been found guilty? And wouldn’t the SCOTUS have a hard time denying it if Trump is convicted of a sedition-supporting crime (remember, “aid and comfort” is all a court has to find to kick Trump off the ballot)?

AdLiban hour ago

OK – to shift the conversation entirely, I am coming through MA and IL in late April, early May. I’m going back to MA and RI to scatter my ex’s ashes. I have Murph’s email, but I’d love yours, TW so MAYBE I can meet up with you guys. I thought it was easy enough to drop down to St. Louis area, too. Lunch, dinner meet up – may have my hubs with me. May be alone based on his work schedule – but I might not get that way again and would love to see you guys.

choicelady

CL I get your point. I’m of the opinion he should be off and the country will have to deal with the fall out, but something tells me if it did happen that way we could work our way through it just fine.

twilson117

Murph – DO TELL! What happened???

choicelady

Stinky Spanky is losing so many $million$$ so fast and has so many court dates I can’t keep up.

Harleigh

Harleigh – DeLoser now holds the record for the most spent per actual vote received and most thrown away on the shortest candidacy. The biggest loser!

AdLiban hour ago

Harleigh – the prospect of a broke Trump makes me smile.

choicelady

CL…would love to work out a way for us to meet up in St. Louis….that would be neutral territory (LOL)!

MurphTheSurf3

CL would love to do that. We can work that out through Ad if he doesn’t mind. He has my information.

twilson117

Or Alton IL – the start for MY family’s move into becoming conductors on Owen Lovejoy’s underground railroad. I’m good wherever we meet.

choicelady

CL – Just saying, if SCOTUS allows Trump to be removed from ballots, it’s because they’ve found him ineligible to hold the office of president under the 14th Amendment. At that point, his run is over, he can never hold office or win anymore than someone not born a natural citizen or someone under 35. It’s over for Trump if SCOTUS upholds the CO ballot ejection.

AdLiban hour ago

CL…..the group has made an arrangement with several clinics in Illinois that do procedures. Those clinics are being both generous and brave. I am the liaison with them from our group to them. It involves very careful communication and lots of back and forth travel.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad – That is my dream – they find he’s ineligible ANYWHERE. If they find individual states can make their own choice – THAT is a disaster.

choicelady

Haleigh a broke Trump would be a good think I beleive.

twilson117

TW – Happy to share emails if all give the thumbs up!

AdLiban hour ago

Ad…big thumbs up.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad I’m okay with it.

twilson117

Murph – you are the MAN. Thank you for this!

choicelady

CL….the group sought me out because of the Co-op work.

MurphTheSurf3

TW and I are the only two who do NOT have each other’s email, so yeah – thumbs up!!!

choicelady

Murph you’re doing the right thing.

twilson117

Murph – BAM. Of course they did.

choicelady

TW and CL….many thanks….it is more than a little scary though….

MurphTheSurf3

Desewer not only is the biggest loser ever but his nutbag wife was a huge part of his strategy and massive defeat. And they had to read what low opinions everybody has of them.

Harleigh

Murph – does MO have a “do not travel” ban?

choicelady

CL – SCOTUS can’t find individual states can remove Trump from the ballot without acknowledging their constitutional right to do so is given under the 14th Amendment…which would declare Trump ineligible for the presidency. Any approval by SCOTUS to any state removing Trump is a statement that Trump is ineligible, end of story.

AdLiban hour ago

CL…nor formally.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph I’m sure it is. Especially with crowd that is around you.

twilson117

Ad – I think you are correct, but in this day of extreme cowardice? SCOTUS is not brave.

choicelady

Harleigh…what is conversation on the ground about DeSantis……he is term limited is he not?

MurphTheSurf3

Ad but, but, but we know he is.

twilson117

Harleigh – DeLoser’s wife, Jackie Oh-No, has the blood of his campaign on her hands. Spending all that money on private jets instead of ads? She’s a lunatic.

AdLiban hour ago

Harleigh I have to believe Desuckis is in a foul mood.

twilson117

I wonder what kind of conversation is taking place among the justices. I see our Dem justices as taking the big issue to them- what obligation do they owe to the Constitution and what legacy do they want to be remembered for?

MurphTheSurf3

Desewer is term limited and has run out of voters here

Harleigh

Harleigh….I know nothing of the wife.

MurphTheSurf3

We live in perilous times.

choicelady

CL – Just simple legal principle. Trump has the constitutional right to run for the presidency on all state ballots unless he is ineligible. SCOTUS would have to recognize he’s ineligible to allow states to remove him from the ballot. If A then B.

AdLiban hour ago

his wife is on a par with MTG

Harleigh

Murph this is where their stance on originalism has come back and kicked in the backside.

twilson117

Murph – knowing little to nothing of Casey DeSantis is a blessing. Trust the rest of us on this.

choicelady

Harleigh….I have a friend who works at Disney at the corporate level….he told me that ALL of the theme parts are aligned in opposition to DeSantis….and they have the muscle to make that mean something.

MurphTheSurf3

Oooo Harleigh – you JUST made me the happiest person! Hearing Disney can kick DeSantis butt? Priceless!

choicelady

CL….I am going to have to look her up.

MurphTheSurf3

Right CL, she’s a total POS. Desewer is a little shit and wears elevators to appear to be 5’11” LOL

Harleigh

Sorry – Murph to Harliegh.

choicelady

CL that’s what he gets for messing the Mouse and the Duck

twilson117

CL…..hah! I am happy to sharewith Harleigh.

MurphTheSurf3

Harleigh – I think losing in the presidential primary made him happy – he doesn’t have to go tippy toe anymore.

choicelady

TW – our long ago slogan on De Santis and Disney was the Mouse beat the Rat.

choicelady

Murph – Most of the RW SCOTUS judges don’t care about the law, precedent or principle. They are idealogues who won’t hesitate to rule as their politics dictate, even without legal principle. But perhaps a majority will agree that refusing to enforce the constitution now and if it led to Trump coming in as a dictator, the rest of the constitution would be torn up in the aftermath and the SCOTUS would be a meaningless appendage to a dictator.

AdLiban hour ago

yep

Harleigh

Harleigh elevators in his boots, good one.

twilson117

Until last week, Ad, Kavanaugh was on the good side when it came to protecting the Constitution. But we still have 5-4 and maybe K. will grow a spine again as he did before.

choicelady

TW!! It’s true!! The funniest of his bullshit was clomping around in white rubber boots with his lifts. hahahaha

Harleigh

Universal Studios carry a lot of weight in no small part because it is not know for support of progressive causes which means their threats were not easily ignored….their case….the Governor is interfering in private business and make Florida a hostile environment. Disney, Universal, and Busch all suspended build out projects because of the threat posed. Made many people unhappy.

MurphTheSurf3

Harleigh yeah what the heck was that about he looked so damn stupid.

twilson117

I’m disappointed that my joy over Trump getting crushed in the E. Jean Carroll case and about to be destroyed by the Engoron ruling has distracted me from celebrating how DeSantis and his wife were crushed like bugs and have to be whimpering after their meglomaniac dreams were so quickly and massively crushed.

AdLiban hour ago

Ad….I wonder how those right wing justices are responding to Texas telling them to shove their decision re. the border where the sun does not shine.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad it just a bundle of riches isn’t it.

twilson117

CL – I hope that SCOTUS who are Trump appointees might also look forward to cutting the ties between themselves and Trump by ruling correctly and to protect the constitution and the country.

AdLiban hour ago

Ad – there will always be room to celebrate the downfall of De Santises.

choicelady

The justices who do not act to protect the constitution will be joined at the hip to Trump and ignominy will follow.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad – until last week, ALL SCOTUS outside of Thomas and Alito could be counted on to put country first. Now, two more asshats have sold out.

choicelady

he was supposedly surveying some storm damage or some shit…. He is maybe 5’7″ he was teetering around in those stupid things. hilarious. Spanky is maybe 6’0″ and his thick soled shoes and lifts make him maybe 6’3″, and 285 pounds or more.

Harleigh

Harliegh any truth to the rumor if you pour water on Destupid he will start to melt?

twilson117

Murph – Great point! The RW SCOTUS judges would have to know that TX is telling them their decisions don’t matter anymore and meanwhile, Trump is laying out an overthrow of the government if he was to win, which clearly would make the SCOTUS moot and powerless. They really should see that this is an existential decision for them, they protect Trump and throw The Constitution under the bus, they’re next.

AdLiban hour ago

Harleigh…..what an ego that man has…..so many in the GOP are meglomaniacs

MurphTheSurf3

AD….E-X-A-C-T-L-Y

MurphTheSurf3

LOL tw

Harleigh

Ad sound like Texas is trying to pull and Andrew Jackson,

twilson117

Did you hear the Trump interview where he said the roaring economy is roaring because THEY know is going to be elected…….how can anyone with any sense have any confidence in this stupid madman.

MurphTheSurf3

CL – All 6 RW justices have proven they are willing to negate precedent, legal requirements and the Constituion so it is highly in doubt if SCOTUS will follow the 14th Amendment as written. Are they too blind to see their necks are under the guilotine if they break the Constitution and give Trump the opportunity to overthrow our democracy?

AdLiban hour ago

And ya know….I like Biden more and more.

MurphTheSurf3

Mexico said if they had to take back TX then they would declare wr and withold our drugs too! lol

Harleigh

Murph Trump once again taking credit for someone else’s work.

twilson117

Why is anyone willing to cometh Trump’s side when his whole history is about betraying them.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph because they know not what they do

twilson117

over 36,000 during his presidency….

Harleigh

lies

Harleigh

Murph on the serious side I can’t understand it either.

twilson117

Ad You know the “Leopard Face Eating Party” issue – I support them because they’d never eat MY face. Right? Right? Yoo hoo -LFEP – I’m right, right?

choicelady

TW – The TX operation has been planned and executed, to both rally MAGAs and to lure Biden into overreacting so that the current game board of the election, where Trump is in trial after trial and plummets (as is happening now) in public opinion, is kicked over and the discussion changes to Biden being a fascist and sending troops to attack those patriotic Americans in TX trying to protect our people from the evil, murderous women and children coming over the border. It’s a pre-meditated trap and Biden is way too smart to fall for it.

AdLiban hour ago

TW…..there is guy who is a major Trumpista (flags, banners, signs)……and he is poor, very poor…….he believes Trump is going to enrich him….someday…..fools errand.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – see my comment on the Leopard Face Eating Party. They come to Leopard Trump believing with all their heart, he won’t kill them.

choicelady

Ad,,,I agree with your understand of the border as a fly trap.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad that is what one does when they think their opponent isn’t smart. But Uncle Joe has seen it all and then some so I don’t believe he will fall for Trump feint.

twilson117

Murph – Everyone knows Trump is lying when he tries to take credit for Biden’s economy. So this would mean Biden was responsible for any good economic news under Trump because Biden was expected to beat him. It’s such stupidity, companies profits are up from revenues coming in, not from putting on a MAGA hat. So stupid!

AdLiban hour ago

CL…Leopard Face-Eating Party….where do Find the comment.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph that individual is in for rude awakening as Trump cares for no one but himself.

twilson117

Ad….there are many people who do not know or cannot accept that what is so, is so.

MurphTheSurf3

CL – Exactly! Trump has proven he will abandon or attack nearly every person who ever supported him and yet his MAGAs think he cares about them. Such deluded fools.

AdLiban hour ago

TW….Trump is incredibly successful in getting people to think and to act against their own interests.

MurphTheSurf3

There have been 19 vehicles in the “MASSIVE CARAVAN” to the border. Turns out ONE of them carried a convicted child sex abuse predator and that blew up the whole caravan.

choicelady

well Spanky’s supporter morphed from being teabaggers into magats…. morons.

Harleigh

Murph – that WAS true. It’s becoming less and less a part of his momentum. People no longer trust him.

choicelady

All I saw a clip where Trump was coming back from his mother-in-law funeral and was about the get in the car with Melania and it look like she told him go get in the other one. Should I take and meaning form the that??

twilson117

CL….do you see that kind of district growing in parts of his base?

MurphTheSurf3

Harleigh – with all due respect, the word you want is “MORANS”. They SAID so.

choicelady

Murph this is his Stupid Power, not super power, but Stupid Power he speaks and his follower become more stupid then already are.

twilson117

TW…..Melania (and her youngish son) live in their own Villa and have nothing to do with T-Man.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I do think his base is crumbling, yes.

choicelady

CL….what are the signs.

MurphTheSurf3

Probably best for Biden to wait out the TX Caravan. Remember, TX Natl Guard had growing numbers of suicides after Abbott forced them to stay at the border…where nothing is really happening. Let them deteriorate to playing Thunderdome down there. Then after the election, strip TX of fed money until they bow down to the SCOTUS decisions and federal law.

AdLiban hour ago

CL….I want to look for those signs here.

MurphTheSurf3

hahaha she hasn’t like stinky Spanky for quite some time now. Her Prenup is nowhere near what Jeanne Carroll is going to get.

Harleigh

Murph – I think the rotten votes in IA and NH are damning. Then the tiny turn outs for his rallies. He isn’t who he was – even FOX notices his mental decline. He’s toast.

choicelady

And Trump’s dementia is becoming more regularly exposed and more pronounced. It’s nearly every day now when he either gives a speech or interview and has portions of his speech where he makes no sense and spins off on completely different topics.

AdLiban hour ago

well I’m conkin out here folks…. soon again I hope!

Harleigh

Ad and all the video this week of TX Guard working w CBP to Legally and humanely process immigrants is very telling . The Guard leaders are not risking everyone’s well being by doing dumb shit.

choicelady

Ad and yet his supporters keep showing up and defending him. Have to wonder why.

twilson117

Good night, Harleigh!!! See you soon/

choicelady

CL……there was an event that was heavily promoted here to get a Support Our President Rally and March shortly after the ex-gov of SC refused to be a good-girl and go away. It did not even get off the ground. It collapsed in the pre-organization stage.

MurphTheSurf3

There was a Quinnipac poll out today, Biden ahead of Trump nationally by 5%. While polls this early are not reliable, that’s got to terrify Trump.

AdLiban hour ago

Harleigh you take care.

twilson117

So Long Harleigh

MurphTheSurf3

Night Harleigh!

AdLiban hour ago

Ad – Quininipac is more reliable than most. This is very heartening.

choicelady

Ad I agree polls this early are points of interest but for me not to be trusted just yet

twilson117

Have you all heard about the Texas PAC that is targeting the Texas Supreme Court in the next election?

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – NONE of the extreme RW plans has materialized. Garland got that you have to do two things after J6: put the evil doers away. Establish that seditious conspiracy occurred so you can indict the ring leader (guess who) righeously.]

choicelady

CL – That is affirming that the TX NG is working with CBP. So Abbott is hung out to dry as the seditionist. BTW, Nikki “Windsock” Haley declared that states can secede if they choose to. Uh…no. There is no legal mechinism for any state to secede. It’s why the US declared war on the Confederate States. One nation, indivisible. Indivisible doesn’t mean, any state can go bugger off whenver it thinks it can own the libs.

AdLib43 minutes ago

Murph – all the plans for uprisings have died – nobody wants to go the J6 route to prison or jail.

choicelady

Ad – I hate to say it, but Nikki is as dumb as Trump.

choicelady

Ad – where did Haley offer that idea….of course she is from SC and that is a hotbed for secessionist thinking.

MurphTheSurf3

TW – I know, these GOP Quislings are 100% cowards and will keep licking Trump’s boots until he absolutely, positively can’t control the GOP or run another Repub against them.

AdLib42 minutes ago

Ad it’s time to send Nikki back to school for a remedial history course

twilson117

OK guys – I ALSO am fading. TW I will exchange emails via AD. I’m crashing for some reason, so I will see you next week. Hugs to all. Have a great week!

choicelady

CL sounds like an excellent plan.

twilson117

From the NYT: During an interview on Wednesday on “The Breakfast Club,” a morning radio show, Nikki Haley affirmed a state’s right to secede, in the context of the current standoff between Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas and the federal Border Patrol. “If that whole state says, ‘We don’t want to be part of America anymore,’ I mean, that’s their decision to make,” Haley said.

AdLib41 minutes ago

I read today that the attorneys working for Trump now are demanding pre-payment and security bonds to guarantee their fees before they will do thing one for DT

MurphTheSurf3

Murph wouldn’t you?

twilson117

Ad….quick and great work….I am cutting and pasting.

MurphTheSurf3

TW….only the stupid or masochistic would not.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – That’s kind of funny, those lawyers will have to pull a Habba I think, accept they won’t get paid in exchange to looking like they’re horrible lawyers.

AdLib39 minutes ago

Thanks Murph! Saw it referred to multiple times today. Haley is a terrible person but her gimmick is to pretend she’s not while Trump’s gimmick is to push that envelope and lean into how horrible he is.

AdLib38 minutes ago

Murph when God told the Devil he was going to sue him the Devil just laugh and said where do you think all the lawyers are?

twilson117

Ad……apparently several big names have said NO to DT no matter what he says he will pay (even with bond guarantees) because of the damage association with him will do.

MurphTheSurf3

TW…good one.

MurphTheSurf3

I heard the Engoron judgement may not be made until the second week of this month though could come earlier. I know he has to be crossing all his “t”s and dotting his “i”s. Fine with me, fine him at least $300 million, dissolve his company and Trump’s teeth will fall out.

AdLib36 minutes ago

Ad…..the only GOP who impressed me in the first days of the primary campaign was Christie (not for his history, but for his knowledge base, strong argumentation skills and grasp of the facts) none of which did him any good.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad gives new meaning to ‘here comes the judge.”

twilson117

TW,,,,HaH!

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – That makes a lot of sense, any smart and principled lawyer would steer clear of Trump and his track record of stiffing lawyers, getting them to become embroiled in crimes, have to get lawyers themselves in civil and criminal cases and get dis-barred. Not exactly enticing.

AdLib35 minutes ago

Ad I hope Engoron takes it to him.

twilson117

Do you guys have a position re. U.S. actions in the Middle East in retaliation for Iranian back attacks on U.S. units?

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I wasn’t impressed with Christie, I was glad he criticized Trump but he was nowhere near as brutal as many expected he would be. He still used his knowledge to twist the truth. Christie never stopped being a bad person, he just turned against the worst person so we nodded along.

AdLib33 minutes ago

Murph Christie knows Trump from back in the day and he know Trump is nothing at all.

twilson117

Ad…..oh….in a better pool Christie would be a minnow, I agree.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I don’t know what the right decision is in the ME aside from using all threats behind the scenes against Israel to stop its mass murder of Palestinians permanently. It does concern me that we may be getting into a sticky situation by broadening the attacks on Iran proxies. I don’t see how that ever ends.

AdLib31 minutes ago

Murph the reporting is playing the background, form what I’m hearing it sounds like a well planned strike I think we’ll know more tomorrow.

twilson117

One of the best moments in my last week was overhearing a conversation at a table at a diner…..a MAGA group if there ever was one…..after several months of mindless DT-Ass-Kissing (YUCK) one of the guys said “Are any of you guys getting bored with him….I am”……No response. None. Zero. Nada.

MurphTheSurf3

I think I agree with both of you….

MurphTheSurf3

Murph wow that was a bit of a revelation from a Trumpie.

twilson117

TW – Like everyone else who ever stood with Trump, he screwed Christie who thought he was going to be CoS. Instead, he pulled the rug out from under Christie and gave him nothing after Christie kneeled to him. Made Christie look weak and stupid andTrump untrustworthy and venal.

AdLib29 minutes ago

Murph – Now that’s quite a mental image to try and conjure, Christie as a minnow. Maybe we can ask ChatGPT to figure that one out?

AdLib28 minutes ago

Ad yes he did.

twilson117

Murph – Well, just the fact that one of them felt comfortable enough to say he’s getting tired of Trump is a victory. Maybe that represented 15% of the MAGAs at that table?

AdLib27 minutes ago

Ad….equally impressive…..NOBODY challenged him….some said that he was forced to repeat things over and over because the Leftie Media did not cover him….but it came across as weak, weak, weak.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad you said it earlier his crowds are getting smaller, he is making no sense, it looks like the shine is fading

twilson117

Can either of you name one key Republican who DOESN’T look unprincipled and/or bowed to Trump? Are there any such Repubs left in the party who aren’t already quitting?

AdLib26 minutes ago

It is interesting to me that the GOP emerging as opposed to Trumps MAGA movement are all EX-office holders.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Sure sounds like they know Trump’s game is worn out. Now it’s the game of their trying to deny what they are believing is the truth.

AdLib25 minutes ago

Ad that is what is so depressing. These people know Trump doesn’t have the juice but they are still following him because they want another tax cut. Grassley said as much.

Ad…….for me is that those people have been very good at gathering support….bringing in new Maggats……..but I wonder how they will even be able to hold onto the core now.

MurphTheSurf3

TW – We’ve discussed this here for some time. There is no ascention for Trump this year, he only goes down. Mentally, popularity-wise, rally-attendance wise, trial-loss wise, it’s all downhill for Trump from now on and only the most intentionally blind in the GOP and MSM don’t see it. Explain to me how Trump gains new voters.

AdLib22 minutes ago

Ad…..well argued.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad isn’t that what cult followers do? At some point they know what the cult leader is saying doesn’t make sense but they are so condition to follow whatever he/she says and won’t leave even when they know they should.

twilson117

Murph – That is interesting but perhaps the explanation is that, as MAGAs have taken over the GOP, the non-insane Repubs who have left office have done so because the MAGAs won’t vote for them or vote them back in.

AdLib21 minutes ago

TW….the point you make about tax cuts…..it names the motivation of wealthy Trump backers…..venal and greedy.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph Bah Humbug is their favorite saying.

twilson117

TW…interesting take on cult behavior as the cult base become disenchanted with the DearLeader.

MurphTheSurf3

TW – The whole Trump/MAGA movement is about deception, especially self-deception. Now, it’s more of a labor for MAGAs to ignore the smaller rally attendance, the dropping popularity, the 1/6 convictions, Trump’s trial losses, etc. But for the sake of their own egos, they can’t let themselves accept that Trump is truly a loser and destined to never hold power again.

AdLib19 minutes ago

Murph Ad and I have been discussing that a lot lately.

twilson117

Ad…and of course most of those exes are folks who could not get MAGA backing anyway.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad a classic cult con game

twilson117

If your worth, your value was inflated by your association with Trump…what do you do when he is deflated?

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – The stats I’ve seen is that the hardcore MAGAs are fully with Trump but those on the margins are stepping back. So there will still be a madly frothing Trump cult howling across social media but their numbers are falling and dislike of them in polling is getting higher and higher. Trump can’t win EXCEPT by cheating.

AdLib17 minutes ago

Murph I think one makes up excuses and blames everyone and everything but themselves for not seeing they were being played.

twilson117

Ad that seems to be an accurate reading of the tea leaves.

MurphTheSurf3

TW…yes……self delusion and a trip down de-nile.

MurphTheSurf3

TW – Yep, in the many cult documentaries I’ve seen in the past months, when a cult or cult leader start to fall apart, the loyal become more intensely loyal but those who aren’t the most passionate followers start stepping away as do those who might be prospects to join the cult.

AdLib16 minutes ago

Ad…it is useful to look to history to see the kind of pattern you name here….

MurphTheSurf3

Ad the hardcore will, as you said, always stay with the leader they have nowhere else to go and they are true believers. We see it all through history with dictators and their inner circle of followers they believe in the cause and will go down fighting regards how evil or wrong it is. It’s all they have.

twilson117

Murph – Absolutely and the historic pattern of cults and their deterioration are pretty similar in many cases. The leader is somehow damaged, by his paranoia, hubris, or excesses. Followers begin to see behind the curtain and that Oz is just a manipulative man behind a curtain. Those not firmly under the cult spell back away from the cult, all that’s left are the most fervant cultists and the cult soon self-destructs in that situation. As the GOP will when Trump loses and goes to prison.

AdLib12 minutes ago

TW – That’s because the beliefs of the cult become a necessary part of the cult followers’ identity. They could no more stop following the cult leader than they could stop eating. This is a pillar of their sense of the world and everything would come crashing down for them if it was removed.

AdLib10 minutes ago

Ad or they go off and start their version of the cult

Well, friends, I need to get to bed………these old bones require morerest than they used to….BUT BEFORE I GO….A SIDE STORY…. I woke up this morning and realized that I was having a hard time focusing my vision…..blurry, weak, and greyed out……I was more than worried that I was having a stroke or similar. I could still drive since large things and sunlight mitigated my seeing acuity problem. I dropped by my optometrist office. I asked if he had a few minutes for me. He did. I told him what was going on….he briefly examined my eyes and said: “Murph you have been pulling the stay up way too late and get up way to early gambit too often…..your eyes are dried out! Never heard of such a thing. He gave me lubricants and two hours later I was fine. I told him I would use those lubricants from now on….he said that this was not the lesson he wanted to pass on….that lesson was GO TO BED! HAH

My little wish is that SCOTUS sees they have no choice but to go along with the ineligibility of Trump to win the presidency, Trump knows he still has to be president to avoid prison and runs independently against the GOP, destroying the party by tearing it apart. Then they would need to rebuild as a legit party or wander in the wilderness for decades until they rediscover principles.

AdLib8 minutes ago

AD your description of the falling out that eventually comes to cult leaders spot on but sadly so much damage is done to so many that the disappearance of the leader does little to mitigate the harm done.

MurphTheSurf3

TW – Sometimes that happens, where cults spin off from cults. So that too.

AdLib8 minutes ago

Ad…..it would takea brave, honorable court to do as you suggest. Fingers crossed.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – That’s kind of funny but that made so much sense. Lots of saline for the eyes is a great idea in any case!

AdLib7 minutes ago

Ad….I keep being reminded that I am truly, really and actually a senior citizen…….oh gawd!

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Even a cowardly but desperate SCOTUS could find against Trump. It will take an anti-constitution SCOTUS to find for him…and this SCOTUS has proven they can be that too.

AdLib5 minutes ago

Murph – Yep, when we were younger, our eyes didn’t need an assist!

AdLib5 minutes ago

Well with those words…..I head to bed! See you next week. Murph
