CL – The House has just reconvened at 7pm PST, Vox convening time. Earlier today, over a dozen holdouts were bribed to support McCarthy and word is that enough of the other holdouts will now be voting to elect McCarthy.

I was present at the Sacramento Press Club lunch for Kevin’s fsrewell address when he was termed out. He made VERY clear that noon that the bane of his existence was – us. The people. Citizens. Our concerns “:wasted his time”. Direct quote. Never forgot it. Anyone advocating for someone or something that was vulnerable – he mocked. I changed EVERYTHING about how I lobbied that noon. I never again talked about the vulnerable and weak – I talked about those who had kicked people to the curb and thrown them away. I speak of those who COMMIT injustice not those who suffer it. Thanks, Kev. I got far bolder due to you.
