I do think the medical community needs to triage patients, those who are vaccinated are primary and those unvaccinated must be last to get treatment and prevented from filling up beds that a non-threatening person may need. My sister works as a speech pathologist specialist in restoring breathing, swallowing and eating functions in those who were intubated and then extubated. Her hospital has a four state triage system…and because they are so powerful they are getting away with putting the unvaccinated at the end of the line…..and she is in Texas. THE key worry I have is that the Federalists are rejecting Common Law and moving toward continental-based Roman Code. Why that matters is Common Law allows us to challenge from the streets, to find redress in the courts. Roman Code vests all law in the legislature making it largely unchangeable. I think COVID will be under control in many Dem states, including MA and CA. We are constantly gaining on vaccinations towards herd immunity or something close to that. But red states? You’re right about that. If I had the means and the room I would have tried to work something out for or granddaughter to live with us, but circumstances didn’t allow for that.
