Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PDT. Hope to see you then! AdLib 2 hours ago
Hey Khirad! AdLib an hour ago
Are we at the same time now? I still can’t keep track Khirad an hour ago
It’s 6:51pm in LA right now. Same time for you? AdLib an hour ago
Sweet. Maybe get Newsom to 186 saving time just for me. I’ll be back after a smoke outside. Khirad an hour ago
Yep, I think a ,majority wants to stop the flipping back and forth on DST. Seeya in a few! AdLib an hour ago
Hi, ad, Khirad. we’re going back tonight to GMT + 10 pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Hey PPO! AdLib an hour ago
Hi TW! AdLib an hour ago
Hi TW pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Hello everyone twilson117 an hour ago
So what do we think about Gaetzgate? AdLib an hour ago
What a week! But lets; not get too distracted from the Georgia crap that lets them overturn the people’s vote pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Ah Mr. Geatz maybe it’s time you go home and just stay there twilson117 an hour ago
So today it’s already 90 degrees Fahrenheit and I’m off to the dispensary. I did this over a month ago and hoped the lines would be gone. I got there and saw the line and was like – vocally, fuck this, I’m not getting ginger cancer for okay weed. Khirad an hour ago
Ad, I’m fed up with MG Midget! We know he’s a sex offender. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Gaetz, he’s what you always thought he was? Khirad an hour ago
PPO – You saw that MLB is moving the All Star game from GA and Repubs are now in revenge mode, wanting to remove their protected trust status? AdLib an hour ago
And most powerful this week, the Chauvin trial. Just devastating to take in all of it. AdLib an hour ago
Gaetz is nothing but a poor wannabe Trump** twilson117 an hour ago
Hey Murph! AdLib an hour ago
Hey Murph twilson117 an hour ago
does anyone really know what time it is? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Ad, yes, and Delta flip-flopping like a landed fish, with the state stopping their fuel tax exemption pinkpantheroz an hour ago
You can lock up the Gaetz. AdLib an hour ago
Murph.! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
It’s time for Geatz to go home Murph twilson117 an hour ago
I’ve gone off on Gaetz and there is some sick shit – but I’m perturbed by Teen. It is illegal it is slime, it is not a fourteen year old with braces… and then I saw a picture of him with High School students. Also – same district as Morning Joe. Khirad an hour ago
Delta tonight is letting it be known that there are other states that would have an interest in being a Delta Hub. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Khirad – Really? Still long lines at the dispensaries in AZ? AdLib an hour ago
Murph, yes, Ca is pitching hard! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
I think the most important thing about the Chauvin trial in the long run is that this is the first trial of its kind that is being covered gavel to gavel on live national tv. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
CAn anyone say why the Supreme Court is not being asked to rule on Voter supression acts? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
PPO – Both Gaetz and Chauvin are nailed for their respective and disgusting crimes this week. ANd where is QAnon wailing about the actual child traffickers and molesters? They are proving what frauds they are. AdLib an hour ago
I think the Lt. hurt his Chauvin’s case twilson117 an hour ago
Murph – Does anyone really care? AdLib an hour ago
About time? AdLib an hour ago
Yes, AdLib, I fucking made a fucking scene when I got there. I said: I could fucking move back to Washington and get better weed faster. Like, what is the point of a dispensary at the same prices for less convenience and quaity than from your local dealer? I was pissed. So, I’m out of weed, but I need weed that bad. Khirad an hour ago
By all ‘reasonable doubt’ criteria, the cop is toast. But, then again, he is white. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Murph it will be interesting to see if Delta can provide the influence it believes it has twilson117 an hour ago
Ad…Care about what….the Time? Chicago asked the question…… MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
TW…Atlanta without Delta would be hard hit…unlike coke….they can lift roots and move esp if there are incentives to do so. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Delta was involved in the drafting of the racist voter suppression bill in GA and they just tried to cover their ass afterwards. I saw that activists are declaring a boycott against Delta, Coke, Fed-Ex, Home Depot, etc. unless they do a hell of a lot more than just offer mealy mouthed words about this attack on democracy fater the fact. Demands include these companies pushing Senators and contributing to passing HR1. AdLib an hour ago
Atlanta could also lose all the Movie and TV action. Some very heavy movers working in that industry. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Ad…how was Delta involved in drafting the legislation? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Murph I don’t doubt flow into Atlanta many times, it’s a major player there but, I would have to see some real effort on Delta’s part to make the threat truly fealt. twilson117 an hour ago
I’m getting a kick out of lil Nas X. I had little to no knowledge, but apparently he made Satan shoes and the Right is losing their minds. I, by the way, have been thinking of writing a primer on Satanism if anyone is interested. I can’t think of a better time. I can post it to FB and stuff – if that’s okay. Khirad an hour ago
augusta made some noise about ditching the Master’s but claimed it was too late to do so…but there is now talk in the PGA about moving the Master’s for 2022 which would be a disaster for Augusta. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Khirad, the right are a bunch of phonies around their belief in religion. twilson117 an hour ago
Khirad – Gaetz is the avatar of the GOP entitled class, breaking laws because they don’t apply to them, abusing the young, the vulnerable, the poor just to gratify themselves. Gaetz was quoted as saying last year that this is the best time to be a Repub like him. Under Trump, corruption and straight up evil flourished and was protected. If Trump was president now, Gaetz would be protected to continue raping children…as Trump has done. AdLib an hour ago
Also Sarah Palin got covid… Khirad an hour ago
Ad…did you reach our friend in GA….for whom we voiced concern last week? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
K…your reference to Goetz’s quote about this being the best of times to be a Trumpster Republican is very telling. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
AdLib, don’t get me started. Avatar is right. He’s so fucking rich, he never thought he could be caught. He’s like every smarmy villain in a John Hughes movie. Khirad an hour ago
Can convicted sex trafficers be RICO’ed? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
PPO – It is a process to get to the SCOTUS. Lawyers from the ACLU, NAACP, Marc Elias, and more have already filed lawsuits against GA. It will take time to go from lower courts to be appealed to the SCOTUS eventually. And who knows how they would decide. The DoJ could also jump in on this to sue GA, the DoJ plate is so full with criminal acts by Repubs already but this is critical to continuing our democracy or collapsing into autocracy. AdLib an hour ago
AD LIB….sorry it was your reference to Goetz’s quote offered to K…. reading too fast. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
I almost didn’t believe the Gaetz shit. Like – no, he wouldn’t be that obvious… Well, Epstein and Quilty move over. Khirad an hour ago
TW – The LT provided de facto testimony that Chauvin did not act in accordance with police rules and practice by kneeling on the neck of a man already under control by being handcuffed. That was a nail in Chauvin’s defense that he has no way to escape from. AdLib an hour ago
Here in Mo. out GOP dominated legislature was GOB Smacked when the public voted in referendum to expand Medicaid THIS YEAR so the GOP replied in two ways 1) Moving to Make Referunda ADVISORY ONLY, 2) Not funding the Medicaid initiative. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Evening all – good to see you! choicelady an hour ago
Khirad – Take a side trip to CA, tons of dispensaries here with high quality product. AdLib an hour ago
And his friend, besides Trump, is Jim Jordan? I’m getting flashbacks to Hastert and Foley and ankles in bathrooms. It’s like we have Cuomo, and Gaetz is like – hold my teen’s 4-loko Khirad an hour ago
Gaetz is the quintessential entitled son of a rich man as someone already said believing daddies’ money will get him out of anything, Well at 38 he is a grown ass man and daddy can’t save his ass with the charges he may be facing. twilson117 an hour ago
Hi choice… MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Hey Murph! choicelady an hour ago
Murph – I was continuing the lyrics of that Chicago song. AdLib an hour ago
Hello Choice twilson117 an hour ago
Hi TW- how are you? choicelady an hour ago
Doing fine CL twilson117 an hour ago
I’m going to go deeper into Tucson first. I think that dispensary is shit – and I let them know it. Khirad an hour ago
Hey PPO and Khirad and AD!!! good to see you. choicelady an hour ago
Allo allo Khirad an hour ago
cl hi! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Murph – You can bet that many cities and states are champing at the bit right now to have Delta move their hub there if it’s a genuine consideration. The Repubs in GA have only begun to see the backlash against their racist, anti-American acts. AdLib an hour ago
Ad….so do we care? DST in Mo. is still touted by farmers but I fail to follow their reason given current tech. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Hey CL! AdLib an hour ago
Hi, AD! choicelady an hour ago
Ad…did you see my note about our Georgia friend? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Oh, the Faux and Fiends and Snoozesmacks falling over themselves – even the ritalin sniffer king himself, Ben Shapiro, are falling over themselves to say it’s not Jim Crow… Khirad an hour ago
PPO – Folks in Hollywood are on the fence about boycotting GA. First, they are greedy and the tax credits they get from shooting in GA are addictive to them. Second, the argument is that it is the working folks who would be doubly hurt by a boycott and the GA anti-voting laws. The director of the next Indiana Jones sequel has said he won’t shoot there as planned. But haven’t heard a lot of others saying that. AdLib an hour ago
Also, Adult Swim… Khirad an hour ago
Murph – The CEO at Delta stated that they were involved with shaping these laws and originally sent an inter-company memo praising it. Never doubt that at heart, many if not most CEOs are aspiring plutocrats. AdLib an hour ago
I made a new flag for Geogia though, as it is the literal Confederate national flag. How do I do that again? Khirad an hour ago
Ad, Delta’s employees in Atlanta are predominantly POC, so imagine the real impact if they move. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
/Users/kurtsinger/Desktop/Screen Shot 2021-03-30 at 9.51.45 AM.png Khirad an hour ago
Sorry, that’s not gonna work. Khirad an hour ago
Khirad – Isn’t true Satanism more benign and about a connection with nature? And tennis shoes. AdLib an hour ago
PPO – that’s the problem w boycotts etc. The people who take it in the neck are generally working people, NOT CEOs. choicelady an hour ago
Satanism is also about not putting your personal info into a chat… Khirad an hour ago
Khirad – Sarah Paline did indeed get COVID…and COVID is still recovering from it. AdLib an hour ago
Satanism benign? Depends on who’s doing it. Wicca is that, but Satanism CAN be enormously harmful. choicelady an hour ago
No, I don’t even know where I would start with Satanism other than asking y’all what you think when you hear it. Khirad an hour ago
Murph – I’m sorry, I was buried this week and did not reach out to glenn and Funk this week, will definitely do so this upcoming week. AdLib an hour ago
CL you’re so wrong. Khirad an hour ago
AdLib Covid is recovering from infecting Palin that’s just too funny twilson117 an hour ago
Ad – I was just going to ask about glenn. I hope she AND Funk are OK. choicelady an hour ago
Where did Anton Lavey touch you? Khirad an hour ago
Ad….Glenn, Funk….understandable……clearly we trust you to do what is best when you are able. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Khirad – nope. It’s very much who is doing it because some practitioners are not remotely informed about the principles and use it to justify any manner of evil. Why I said it depends on WHO is doing it. choicelady an hour ago
Well, car crashes into police at the Capitol, killing one. The driver is arrested. What colour is he? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Khirad – The sad and obvious as hell truth is, the wealthy DO get away with horrible crimes regularly. Gaetz being indicted and convicted would be the exception, because the evidence is so massive and public. Though Trump should be indicted in the next few months, I hope. AdLib an hour ago
Holy fuck I’m out, you all need a primer on Satanism. Fuck all. Khirad an hour ago
PPO – the driver is dead. Apparently he was a Black Muslim. But nobody thinks he was a terrorist. choicelady an hour ago
cl, hadn’t heard that here yet. Sorry. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Murph – The GA Legislature can be sued for not implementing the public vote. Do you think they will be? AdLib an hour ago
Khriad – I don’t. THEY do who abuse it. Kind of like Dominionists pretending to be Christians. Anyone can adopt the mantle. Then they go off on their own and screw it up. choicelady an hour ago
Khirad – my unfortunate encouters w Satanists have been negative. I know quite well that’s NOT the philosophy. Wicca is less abused because it has more followers and they’re mostly women. They screw things up less often. choicelady an hour ago
Ad. the Mo. legislature will be sued but it will take time for that to make its way into and through the courts. What would speed it along is an injunction that forbids them to do that……also I dropped Glenn a note. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
Murph – Yes, I did respond, got tied up this week but will reach out to glenn and Funk this upcoming week. AdLib an hour ago
PPO – Agreed but I do think it is cvaluable for corporations to threaten to leave even if they won’t. No way do I think Delta’s threat is real, sabre rattling but that can bring change. AdLib 43 minutes ago
CL – Yes, I was thinking about Wicca! AdLib 43 minutes ago
TW – Thanks! AdLib 42 minutes ago
Ad – I’m sorry Khirad didn’t stay. The handful of Stanaists I met in LA were horrid. Used it as an excuse to do whatever nasty they wanted. That’s like the Religious Right. I get that. But I’ve never found a woman involved in Wicca who did that. Only weird guys in LA. choicelady 42 minutes ago
the best man at our wedding was a Druid priest! One groomsman was jewish, the other Russian orthodox We married in a Catholic Church. pinkpantheroz 41 minutes ago
The closest thing to Satanism I know is The Rolling Stone’s ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ pinkpantheroz 40 minutes ago
PPO – that’s so cool!!! choicelady 40 minutes ago
CL – When the driver at The Capitol was described as black and Muslim, the RW instantly sneered at how “the libs” would bury the story. All Repubs can do is project their own horribleness on Dems. AdLib 40 minutes ago
CL….there is a satanist group in my neck of the woods….mostly men (with a few hanger on women) who are also a motorcycle gang….they dross all in black, long coats, chains, facial jewelry, horrifying identifiers on their clothing…..but they are ok with the evangelical in crowd here because they are very right wing. MurphTheSurf3 39 minutes ago
Well, MSNBC first said he was white. How you could mix that up is beyond me. But two people are dead, and that’s just horrid. choicelady 39 minutes ago
Murph – Who should file a case and request an injuction? AdLib 39 minutes ago
Murph – Let me know if you hear anything. AdLib 39 minutes ago
Yowzah, Murph – Evangelical Satanists? My head just exploded. choicelady 39 minutes ago
Ad……there are medical rights groups in the state and their are public action forum groups but they are small and poor…..so, who should is also a question of who could. MurphTheSurf3 38 minutes ago
cl, begs the question, if he had been white, would they have shot him? Sorry, but my mind does tend to feel that way. pinkpantheroz 37 minutes ago
Murph – would ACLU take this on? choicelady 37 minutes ago
CL – That makes a lot of sense to me. I’ve always considered Satanism a cynical dodge by people who just want to act out and get gratification from scaring those who believe they actually are “in league” with Satan. AdLib 37 minutes ago
Choice…oh, the holy rollers tut-tut, and bow their shaking heads saying that they pray for their conversion but that is about as tough as they get on them. MurphTheSurf3 37 minutes ago
PPO – That sounds like the most religiously diverse wedding event I’ve heard of. Very cool! AdLib 36 minutes ago
Murph Evangelicals and Satanists that’s an oxymoron twilson117 36 minutes ago
Choice…I would be surprised if ACLU would take it on…not really in their wheelhouse BUT there are national medicaid expansion groups and they are, I think, the best hope. MurphTheSurf3 36 minutes ago
PPO – he hit them with his car to the point one died later. He was coming at them with a knife. Under those circumstances they’d have shot ANYONE. Also after Jan. 6, the “white boy immunity” is GONE in DC. I heard one Capitol Policer officer (white) say he was PROUD to stop white supremacists any day of the week. choicelady 36 minutes ago
TW…Many of the right wing are inverterate OXY-Morons. MurphTheSurf3 35 minutes ago
Murph – that sounds very hopeful. I do agree about the RW in your neck of the woods. Meth heads, too. choicelady 35 minutes ago
Murph, oh the utter hypocricy is incredible. Evilgelicals tolerate Satanist Bikers, but condemn abortion, and women’s rights. pinkpantheroz 35 minutes ago
Murph no wonder you have an uphill battle. twilson117 35 minutes ago
PPO – I suspect the MO Satanists have no values of any kind making hanging w the Evangelicals perfectly OK. choicelady 34 minutes ago
CL – I am always skeptical of any “facts” that come out at first after a shocking event. They are often completely wrong. I can understand the assumption that it was another white nationalist nutjob as most acts like this have been but a news org should show some restraint instead of wanting to rush out something to scoop the other news orgs.’ AdLib 34 minutes ago
CL…Meth, motorcycles, Trump, Satan and Jesus…..strange bedfellows. MurphTheSurf3 34 minutes ago
Murph. Jesus wept. choicelady 33 minutes ago
Ad – that’s my fury about the media. First reports are indeed usually WRONG. choicelady 33 minutes ago
Murph – That’s kind of what I thought, there might not be a big enough, well enough funded group in MO to handle this fight against the legislature. AdLib 33 minutes ago
Murph, one thing in common, they are Racist pinkpantheroz 33 minutes ago
My friends I live in a rather bizarre neck of the woods…no doubt. MurphTheSurf3 33 minutes ago
CL….Jesus wept but he also snickered. MurphTheSurf3 32 minutes ago
Murph – could be worse. Could be Springfield. My friend whom you helped found S’field even MORE a hotbed of skinheads than before she fled. choicelady 32 minutes ago
PPO….well Jeebus and Satan are White are they not? MurphTheSurf3 32 minutes ago
Murph – Jesus wouldn’t wear leather dusters, no. Snicker away! choicelady 32 minutes ago
CL…Skinheads in Springfield. Believe it. Is she still there? MurphTheSurf3 31 minutes ago
CL – Understandable considering how many Capitol Police were injured, and some killed, by white nationalist MAGA trash. AdLib 31 minutes ago
No – she tried to go back and could NOT. She’s where you recommended. choicelady 31 minutes ago
The Capitol Police are no friends to white extremists anymore. choicelady 30 minutes ago
There is someone around here who is going around torching the Trump flags and Trump Pence signs that are still on display…..Puts an accelerant on them and lights em up. MurphTheSurf3 30 minutes ago
CL>….good. MurphTheSurf3 29 minutes ago
Murph – would that person be known to you? choicelady 29 minutes ago
One great thing that happened this week was that The State Leader of the (Conservative/GOP) opposition here was giving a bullshit speech outdoors in the safest electorate, when he was hackled by a lady of uncertain age who yelled : “Absolute Rubbish” at him! The eejjit was struck dumb1 Worth checking out. pinkpantheroz 29 minutes ago
Murph – if it hadn’t been for your recommendation, I don’t know where the hell she’d have wound up. choicelady 29 minutes ago
CL…no….it is a very risky behavior on many levels….if I did know I would probably turn them in….a good way to get killed or to kill someone else. MurphTheSurf3 28 minutes ago
PPO – That’s a GREAT story! choicelady 28 minutes ago
CL…the credit goes to you my friend….. MurphTheSurf3 28 minutes ago
Murph – totally agree. And what does it accomplish? Nothing but making those people martyrs in their own minds. choicelady 28 minutes ago
PPO – On that note, did you see that polling shows that for the first time, less than 50% of Americans ascribe themselves to a religion? This is absolutely due to the evangelicals and their unChristian mentality. If folks knew Choicelady though, I think many more people would see religion in a much more positive way. AdLib 27 minutes ago
Murph – I only gave her the info you gave me. I’d not know the territory! choicelady 27 minutes ago
PPO…I love it when courageous warriors like that arise from the crowd. MurphTheSurf3 27 minutes ago
Murph burning Trump** and Pence Flags, disappoint supporter who finally woke up??? twilson117 27 minutes ago
CL….exactly. MurphTheSurf3 27 minutes ago
Ad – the numbers of people who think the Religious Right area the sole definition of faith makes me really ill. I cannot fix that. choicelady 26 minutes ago
Murph – Much as I despise Trump, I’m not a fan of arson or political violence. AdLib 26 minutes ago
Ad….as you may recall I am a practicing Episcopalian because it is a thinking person’s church which has persons of every kind in leadership and has a social consciousness that I deeply admire. Sadly, it is also a church that does not attract many adherents. MurphTheSurf3 25 minutes ago
CL….thanks for the kudo….again, you have been the key support I served your need to know. MurphTheSurf3 24 minutes ago
Cl…We can both take a bow. MurphTheSurf3 24 minutes ago
Murph – it’s SO much easier being a fundie – no thinking involved. Rules all laid out, no work to do. Our denominations are quite different, and they don’t attract followers because they aren’t mindless. choicelady 24 minutes ago
TW…I do not know the person doing this but such behavior does no one any good. MurphTheSurf3 24 minutes ago
Murph when I was young spent a little time as an Episcopalian twilson117 23 minutes ago
Ad…..yes, such behavior really does no good….those attacked have another flag to wave for their cause. MurphTheSurf3 23 minutes ago
CL – It’s the “squeaky wheel” thing, how the Religious Right screams constantly about Jesus and supporting horrible things that Jesus would be fighting against today. Hypocrites and frauds with bigger megaphpones. So they look like what religion is now and younger people want nothing to do with the hate, racism and intolerance. AdLib 23 minutes ago
CL….That is what I think…..I admire “churches” that invite rational exploration of issues of faith and do not give into the temptation to paint the world in stark and contrasting colors. MurphTheSurf3 22 minutes ago
Murph agree it doesn’t help to burn things. But it would be funny if it was a former Trump** supporter who feels they woke up and now realize that Trump** was a total failure.
twilson117 21 minutes ago
TW…I came to the Episcopal Church as a late midlife adult….wanting the ritualism of Catholicism but without its very heavy baggage. MurphTheSurf3 21 minutes ago
Murph – I will say that when the diocese of San Joaquin split from the Episcopal church in reaction against LGBTQ equality and joined the Argentinian Anglicans (where they had SOOOO much in common), they had to give up the church buildings. Once that happened, REAL Episcopalians started flooding back in – they were sick of the hate and embraced the humanity. choicelady 21 minutes ago
TW…I would much rather a former Trumper just come out and say so…that has power. MurphTheSurf3 21 minutes ago
Murph – It’s too bad that the religious frauds and fearmongers whip up more support and funding than those who pursue genuine spirituality. It’s not a fair fight because their side is all about aggressively grabbing attention, money and power while those promoting true spirituality are outshouted. AdLib 20 minutes ago
I love our Episcopalian members and churches. And the music is just the BEST. choicelady 20 minutes ago
Murph agree with you on that. twilson117 20 minutes ago
CL>..The Anglican Movement is so anchored in division….Argentinian Anglicans…oh, the lengths people will go do to find shelter for their narrowness. MurphTheSurf3 20 minutes ago
Well, time to say sayonara. Enjoy your Easter break (4 day hols here) . Stay safe. pinkpantheroz 19 minutes ago
Ad…those you describe have another thing in common….they promise “the righteous” a place in heaven on earth right now and heaven in heaven later. MurphTheSurf3 18 minutes ago
Ad – our congregations are all facing slow demise as young people look for spirituality without walls. It’s OK – the process is powerful. Our former Episcopal Dean of the Cathedral is a beloved minister highly sought at Burning Man where he does annually along w several of my board members from other denominations. Faith shaping for the future. choicelady 18 minutes ago
PPO….goodnight. P e ace. MurphTheSurf3 18 minutes ago
Murph – our denominations don’t promise any damned thing. We don’t save souls. We preach justice, ONLY justice, and a lot of people disdain that. choicelady 17 minutes ago
Oh gosh – missed PPO. choicelady 17 minutes ago
Murph this is the problem with religion, people get caught up with constructs and lose sight of what it’s all about. twilson117 17 minutes ago
TW – yes, thanks. That’s spot ON. choicelady 17 minutes ago
It would be a wonderful storyline that in reaction to the total corruption of these phony “Christians”, people shunned them and turned towards more genuine spiritual fulfillment. There is such a hole in the souls of so many Americans today, because of the corruption all around us, it would be wonderful to see an age of enlightenment follow this dark, brutal mentality that has co-opted so many. AdLib 16 minutes ago
Well….let me say a word for the value of organized, institutional structures…..those structures in the Episcopal Church have withstood the attacks of the Anglican break offs who wanted to bring down the overall body…..young people in amorphous groups may be seekers and may find individual awakening but the sense of lasting community is something they rarely experience for any length of time. MurphTheSurf3 15 minutes ago
Murph – that’s a good point. choicelady 15 minutes ago
Murph – And there is a truly evil intent behind that promise of everlasting salvation by those frauds, to manipulate people into becoming their pawns, following them is following God and the only path to Heaven. They are Satanic underneath the sheep’s clothing of faith. AdLib 14 minutes ago
This may not be a popular thought….but I regard the teachings and life of Yeshua bar Yusef bin Nazrit and the Siddartha Gautama Buddha as the great lights in our world…I happen to embrace both…one as an Episcopalian and the other as a Buddhist practitioner. MurphTheSurf3 13 minutes ago
CL – That’s very cool to hear, that he was sought at Burning Man. I do think there is an evolution in how younger people approach spirituality but not necessarily that they don’t want to be spiritual. AdLib 13 minutes ago
All religious constructs must stand up to this test: Would Jesus and the Buddha be a part of your church? MurphTheSurf3 12 minutes ago
Well…..we certainly cover the globe in our topics do we not? MurphTheSurf3 12 minutes ago
Murph I would agree with you but, at some point someone will revert back to authoritative construct they are familiar with oh they will change it a bit, but eventually it will look like what they were used to, but call it something different. twilson117 12 minutes ago
CL – Because your denominations are genuinely about faith and spirituality. It’s hard to compete with the snake oil salesmen who scream and promise magical rewards. AdLib 11 minutes ago
Good thoughts…TW and Ad MurphTheSurf3 11 minutes ago
I have an urgent call – see you next week! choicelady 11 minutes ago
Seeya CL! AdLib 10 minutes ago
Bye choice. MurphTheSurf3 10 minutes ago
Take care CL twilson117 10 minutes ago
Murph, I know you’re heading out so see you next week! AdLib 10 minutes ago
I do not have an urgent call, but I do have an urgent need to go to bed. PLanting time. MurphTheSurf3 10 minutes ago
Hey Murph and AdLib I heading out take care see you next week. twilson117 10 minutes ago
What are you planting Murph? AdLib 10 minutes ago
You take care too, TW, have a very happy Easter! AdLib 9 minutes ago
Thanks twilson117 9 minutes ago
Ad…my usual crops for the truck garden…..vegetables to be sold to a third party provider for restaurants. Organic. MurphTheSurf3 9 minutes ago
Yum! AdLib 9 minutes ago
If you eat it in a salad….I grow it…. MurphTheSurf3 9 minutes ago
Someone asked me how I control pests organically….ans. Spiders! MurphTheSurf3 8 minutes ago
Interesting! I like spiders, I put them outside when I find them in the house. Very rare for me to hurt one. AdLib 7 minutes ago
I buy them from a Spider Farm in Indiana….big black garbage bags with thousands of them….spooks the heck out the UPS driver. MurphTheSurf3 7 minutes ago
Kneejerk when I feel something crawling on me, I might smack it but I know how valuable spiders are in controlling pests. AdLib 6 minutes ago
When I harvest, I put the veggies through a soft flowing wash so the spiders wash off, swim to the sides, and climb out to help us some more. MurphTheSurf3 6 minutes ago
In that quantity, it would creep me out a bit too. AdLib 6 minutes ago
That is so cool! AdLib 6 minutes ago
I wouldn’t have thought of that but it makes so much sense, you don’t want to harm the spiders when they’re still on crops you harvested. AdLib 5 minutes ago
Ad….when you first do it…..it is rather eerie but soon it becomes a thing of beauty….of note I have NO mosquitos, or fleas to speak of. Even ticks and chiggers are rare as spiders eat their eggs. MurphTheSurf3 5 minutes ago
The only spiders I have a problem with out here are black widows. I do kill them to protect my dog and family. AdLib 4 minutes ago
Each spring I add to spider population. I think many of their offspring survive the winter in tree hollows since our weather is rarely frigid for long and spiders are hardier than one would guess. MurphTheSurf3 4 minutes ago

Brown recluse’s are my worry as the are so aggressive. MurphTheSurf3 3 minutes ago
I once had an amazing big brown spider in my back yard that would spin a huge web each night which would be gone by morning. It hung around for a while, I enjoyed it. AdLib 2 minutes ago
What an interesting turn in our conversation……the spider you describe might have been a wolf spider. MurphTheSurf3 2 minutes ago
I think it is time to toddle off…this has been fun. If glenn gets back to me, I will let you know. MurphTheSurf3 a few seconds ago
And of course I love bees. I don’t think I’ve ever been afraid of them. I taught my daughter to like them but as a teen, seeing her friends freak out, she copied their behavior. I have greatly flowering citrus trees in the back yard, tons of bees, bumblebees, all around, I am so comfortable with them and truly happy to see them doing their thing. AdLib a few seconds ago
I have tried to start hives several times and failed. MurphTheSurf3 in a few seconds
