Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PST. Hope to see you then!

Waz up, Ad?

Fuzzy Dunlop

Hey FD! All’s well this way. You?
AdLib 16 hours ago
Did Trump get a, “I went to. Ietnam
AdLib 16 hours ago
Hey there FD and AD.

MurphTheSurf3

“I went to Vietnam to meet with Kim and allI got was this lousy t-shirt?”
AdLib 16 hours ago
Hey Murph!
AdLib 16 hours ago
Howdy

MurphTheSurf3

Looks like we’re turning the corner on Trump being an acknowledged criminal.
AdLib 16 hours ago
A majority sees Trump as a liar. Now they’ll see him as a criminal.
AdLib 16 hours ago
Hangin in there, Ad. Hey Murph!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Trump’s behavior in Vietnam was everything I expected and more. He ended with a defense for the horrendous murder of a young man who dared to visit NK and sought to take home a poster, a fucking poster, from the wall of his hotel. His parents, who Trump used as a prop at a SOTU, were justifiably angry.

MurphTheSurf3

More public hearings! I want as many public hearings with Trump and Co. Let’s let the American people get a long, slow picture of just how criminal and morally bankrupt the GOP has become.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Fuzzy…..we have not been in the same place at the same time for a while…how goes it with you.

MurphTheSurf3

FD….I agree with your approach….and let the pressure build from the public to remove this man.

MurphTheSurf3

OK, murph. Hangin in there. And you?

Fuzzy Dunlop

Good evening, all. How is everyone?

glenn

What’s surprising though is that Trump didn’t fold completely to Kim just to get a deal and not look like the failure he is. Kim got the recognition he wanted so he won.
AdLib 16 hours ago
Hey glenn!
AdLib 16 hours ago
I have had a number of altercations here with the forces of darkness, i.e. Trumpsters.

MurphTheSurf3

Hello Glenn.

MurphTheSurf3

Absolutely Murph. Just look at the results of Cohen’s testamony.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph–we’re dying to know how your breakfast went last week, or was it the week before?

glenn

Hey G! How goes it?

Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – They’re coming, Dems have Weiselberg, Trump’s CFO and Sater coming in.
AdLib 15 hours ago
FD–doing well, thanks.

glenn

Trump the master negotiator? I think not. I guess the honeymoon is over between Little Rocket Man and Fat Donnie!

Fuzzy Dunlop

FD…I hope Cohen is the first of many.

MurphTheSurf3

That’s what I like to hear, Ad.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Me too Murph!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad–looking forward to the hearings of Princess Sparklepony and her husband.

glenn

Glad to hear it G!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph, have you tried wearing garlic around your neck?
AdLib 15 hours ago
Hey Ad, maybe a peace symbol would work better.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Glenn…the breakfast was an ambush…..I went with two of my allies and it lasted long enough for coffee to be poured and partially consumed…..they got nasty. I and my friends got up and left with me saying “This is why we do not talk.”

MurphTheSurf3

Ad–the only way Murph can really piss off the lying bully’s supporters is to keep telling the truth. They’re more averse to the truth than anything else.

glenn

Ad…I would rather carry around stakes and a large hammer.

MurphTheSurf3

Glenn…Princess Sparklepony! Love it.

MurphTheSurf3

Glenn and her husband…Secret Squirrel.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–so the breakfast was about what you expected, right? As for Princess Sparklepony, I stole that from a commenter on another website.

glenn

Murph–Secret Squirrel is the perfect name for the Silent Spouse.

glenn

Glenn….it was….these people are thoroughly unredeemed.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – Truth to Trumpers is like garlic to vampires.
AdLib 15 hours ago
The Trump and GOP response to Cohen has been to throw up lots and lots and lots of flack…..confuse, confound and conflate….and hope, plan on the crowd losing track.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I’d rhetorically suggest going for their brains as with Zombies but they have none.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Ad, you have to steal their wallets!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad…Trumpsters and Brains…yeah…not in my experience.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–I’m still trying to figure out what those people see in the lying bully. A while ago, I asked someone who seemed pretty reasonable, (this was online), and this person told me that they would keep supporting the lying bully as long as the economy stays good. That seems to be the overriding reason….”As long as I’m making money, nothing else matters. Not locking up children, not kowtowing to dictators, not lying every day in every day, none of that matters as long as I’ve got mine and some goddamn poor person doesn’t have anything.”

glenn

Ad–exactly, re truth to trumpers.

glenn

It’s a real good thing for Trumpies, that breathing is autonomic.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph – but the preponderance of Congressional hearings and SDNY as well as Mueller will cement Cohen’s accusations with the majority of voters.
AdLib 15 hours ago
But Glenn…it was good under Obama…just as good as now….the reasoning is so shallow. The truth- as long as Trump leads the CRUSADE OF HATE AND ANGER they will follow.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–as everyone with half a brain has noticed, not one of the republicans refuted anything Cohen said; just kept calling him a liar. I really did love their posters, especially the one that said, “Liar, liar, pants on fire.” The lying bully has truly regressed the repubs to fifth grade, or less!

glenn

Cohen had nothing to lose, or gain, by testifying. he’s already been sentenced. He wasn’t trying to clear his name.

Fuzzy Dunlop

FD – Trump stole their wallets with the tax cut and tariffs and they still love him.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Ad…it should…but that Flack Attack Strategy has been effective and I expect it to escalate in the weeks ahead.

MurphTheSurf3

I loved seeing AOC ask questions! She did her homework, and you just know, that infuriated republicans.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad…if they still love him after that….well, we know that he can survive a number of Cohen moments.

MurphTheSurf3

FD…and I loved seeing Meadows called out for his “Token Black Woman Prop” act.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – It’s pretty simple, Trump hates the people they hate and as long as he does, there’s nothing he can do to lose them.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Tru Dat, Ad. Stupid is, as stupid does! To borrow a phrase from that well known philosopher, Forrest Gump!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Me too Murph. Meadows must be on some weird, soul altering drug.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph–that’s why I said, “as long as the economy stays good”. I know the lying bully has done nothing to make it better. This person online was just stating that his “buddies” wouldn’t budge on the lying bully as long as they have money in their pockets. I really want the economy to continue to do well; because that affects all of us, but according to what I’ve been reading, another “correction” is due soon.

glenn

Meadows ran as an Obama Birther and those videos are readily available. Cummings must have to hold his nose in his interactions with him…but Cummings is well known for taking the high road and using magnanimous engagements to work for the greater good.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – it’s only working with Trump cultists, like you’re surrounded by. The majority of Americans aren’t buying the Repub distractions.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Glenn…I am sure you are correct….with misery will come a turning away from the orange badger but it will hurt us all.

MurphTheSurf3

Fd–reasonable people see it that Cohen had nothing to lose; republicans also see it that way. They have nothing to lose by throwing as much shit on the wall to see what will stick. They pretty much know that everything Cohen said is true; they’re just trying to deflect from it–you know the usual repub strategy.

glenn

Ad…I believe you are correct…..in that assessment.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–I love Cummings. As someone said about him, he’s part preacher, part civil rights leader, and part politician.

glenn

Not doubt G. I don’t they’ll be able to sustain that strategy for all the upcoming hearings. The die hards won’t budge, but I bet some low info voters will rethink their support. The rest of America will see for themselves what a bunch of sleazoids the GOP has turned into.

Fuzzy Dunlop

The smartest Republican I know here, who was once the leader of the party in this county for many years, has abandoned the party…..arguing that he is just too old but most know the truth. He is broken hearted.

MurphTheSurf3

Glenn….good description of Cummings. He and Lewis are great soulds.

MurphTheSurf3

Souls.

MurphTheSurf3

Her, solid souls…soulds!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Meadows: “To prove Trump isn’t racist, I will parade a silent black woman in front of you. What am I bid?”
AdLib 15 hours ago
Ad–I agree with you that the majority of Americans aren’t buying the repub distractions. The question IMO, is will that be enough for them to stop voting repub? Especially in the 2020 election.

glenn

FD…that is a good preview of things to come…the turning away begins.”

MurphTheSurf3

Sold?

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–Give your old republican my thoughts and prayers, will you?

glenn

Glenn…thoughts and prayers!….I am sure you are being sincere….you are, aren’t you?

MurphTheSurf3

But it is a bit unnerving that Pelosi and Dems run away so fast from impeachment. It’s their constitutional duty when the man in the WH is betraying his oath, the country and the law.
AdLib 15 hours ago
glenn, I think when all is said and done, America is going to see a very real, and very ugly picture of the GOP. It’s their own fault. For two years they’ve pretty much done as they pleased, and optics be damned. That’s before they lost the house. Now? Their believed invincibility is crumbling.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Prayers, okay but what would a Republican do with thoughts?
AdLib 15 hours ago
FD–I agree that it would be wonderful if some low info voters will rethink their support. However, I’m not sure that the low info voters are the ones watching the hearings. The best we can hope for is that they don’t show up to vote in 2020.

glenn

Ad….Pelosi et al want public outrage to grow and/or legal action to force their hand since they see any action by themselves along will be a perfect distraction for flack masters.

MurphTheSurf3

FD – I do believe, especially after the corrupt behavior they’ll show in 2020, that Repubs could stay out of power for some time. Also since I’m sure Trump will continue to dominate and control it.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Murph–as sincere as republicans were when they gave theirs after mass murders. Does that work?

glenn

Oh Glenn….I knew you were speaking from the heart (of darkness)….hah!

MurphTheSurf3

Ad–Speaking of the lying trying to control and dominate the repub party, what do you think of Cohen’s prediction that if the lying bully loses, there won’t be a peaceful transition?

glenn

Murph – I know but they have said that unless they have Repubs in the Senate on board to remove Trump, they won’t impeach. We deserve a public hearing on all of his crimes.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Murph–you understand me so well!

glenn

Glenn….I think that Cohen was saying that Trump and his minions would do everything they could to make the transition messy, messier and messiest.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – I think most Repubs are cowardly despot they’re hostile talk. I wouldn’t doubt that some nut jobs commit violence when Trump loses so technically, I agree with Cohen.
AdLib 15 hours ago
I would love to see the secret service, dragging Fat Donnie out of the Oval office, kicking and sceaming, like the man/baby that he is.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad…oh, i think that as the public outrage grows and as the courts come into play….expect that the requisite GOP will come on line.

MurphTheSurf3

I think Trump would refuse at first to go but as soon as he saw he was going to be dragged out, he’d dash away. He’s such a coward.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Murph–I think Pelosi’s strategy of not going for impeachment now is the best right now. I want to see every one of the lying bully’s family, employees, and cabinet members paraded before the House so the American people can watch.

glenn

That’s true Ad.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph–not trying to belabor a point, but how would the transition be “messy”?

glenn

I’m wondering what would we be transitioning to? Pence?

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph – I don’t know. They support Trump despite his betrayal of the US to Putin, trashing our institutions and constitution, racist and pro-Nazi support, Repubs are bigger cowards who I don’t see turning from Trump no matter how bad it gets. After all, the GOP is his cult to control now and they don’t want to be primaried.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Glenn….literally do no prep for a transition, refuse to meet with the incoming admin, cloud up the transition with lots of executive orders, create data dumping that makes it hard to find crucial info etc.

MurphTheSurf3

Ad–the repubs are cowards, no doubt. But some of their most die-hard nut jobs would probably continue to commit violence, as they have already. Perhaps I am overthinking Cohen’s remarks, but I believe he was speaking specifically of the lying bully not going peacefully. Imagine the all-cap tweets!

glenn

And the flurry of misspelled words!

Fuzzy Dunlop

FD–Oh yeah, kicking, screaming, and in handcuffs going straight to jail. Do not pass “Go”, do not collect $200.

glenn

glenn – I’m not in a rush for impeachment but demonstrating a fear of it makes Dems look weak and the public doubt the good of impeachment.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Ad…..I doubt there will ever be enough GOP to find him guilty but if there are enough who stand against him (protecting their own reelections) then the whole thing will not look like a partisan lynching.

MurphTheSurf3

In a perfect world, G!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Murph–yeah, those sound like things the lying bully would do.

glenn

Murph, no doubt Trump will di his best to sabotage as much as he can before the incoming president is inaugurated. But at that point, the many prosecutions of Trump will ease the pain.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Ad….that is my reading as well…expect preemptive court actions from the Dems as well to block the worst of sabotage

MurphTheSurf3

Ad–I don’t see Pelosi’s waiting as weak; I see it almost the same as the Mueller investigation. I think she wants to make sure she has all the evidence, documents, etc., she needs to make sure that, even though repubs will lie, kick, and scream about it, they will have no choice to impeach. IOW, I see her “dotting all her “i’s” and crossing all her “t’s”.

glenn

Murph – Only Repubs who are retiring or running in purple areas will join Dems against Trump,I’d bet.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Well folks, goot run. Take care all, and keep the faith!

Fuzzy Dunlop

Ad…that may be as many as 12

MurphTheSurf3

CHOICE!!!!!

MurphTheSurf3

Evening all! Sorry I’m late!

choicelady

Does anyone here see any repubs in the Senate joining the Dems in the resolution to cancel the emergency action?

glenn

So gladdddd to see you….Fuzzy just left.

MurphTheSurf3

Bye Fuzzy – we DON’T meet again! Sorry!

choicelady

MURPH!!!

choicelady

‘Nite FD

glenn

I support Pelosi, an glad she’s Majority Leader but she also refused to impeach Bush for his many war crimes. She doesn’t want to impeach Trump, worries he might get the Clinton bounce from it.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Glenn…that is tricky for them as Trump will veto….

MurphTheSurf3

Hi gleen, AdLib – sorry to miss Fuzzy, glad to see YOU.

choicelady

Hey CL–long time, no see.

glenn

Nite FD!
AdLib 15 hours ago
He CL! Nice to see you here too!
AdLib 15 hours ago
SO CL what’s on your mind….

MurphTheSurf3

Adlib – the reason Pelosi didn’t impeach Bush was the international aspect of his war crimes. NO nation has ever successfully prosecuted its own. I’m quite sure Pelosi is fine impeaching the Yam Man WHEN every duck is in its essential row.

choicelady

Choice….as always, what’s on your mind is very good stuff!

MurphTheSurf3

Ad–That’s why I think Pelosi is strategic to wait–at least until we have some more hearings. You know how repubs love playing victim, and if the lying bully doesn’t actually get impeached in the Senate, I believe the “Clinton bump” would be just as effective for the lying bully. The one thing Pelosi doesn’t want to do is give repubs more ammunition, and a failed impeachment process would do just that, IMO.

glenn

glenn – Only the Repubs running in purple states will join Dems to stop the emergency declaration.
AdLib 15 hours ago
I had not considered the issue of war crimes as requiring an international tribunal setting but that does seem to be so to me. Has Bush or Cheney left the U.S. since leaving office. I do not think so.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I’m just catching up. Life has been fraught w medical stuff. Technically I’m now retired though I do stuff as a volunteer. But my husband has been going through a ton of stuff, and i had to retire to make room for medical appointments!

choicelady

Murph – no neither one of them can lave the US. There are arrest warrants, good forever, against both of them.

choicelady

Choice….so sad to hear that……are things looking up or are you very heavily burdened in the moment.

MurphTheSurf3

Can LEAVE. Dyslexia of the fingers.

choicelady

CL–that’s what I’m thinking about impeachment too. Let us have some more hearings, give Pelosi actual criminal charges for impeachment. That’s my opinion, anyway.

glenn

Choice…thanks for the info….I though that this was the case….have you seen VICE…I have…twice.

MurphTheSurf3

CL–Sorry to hear about all your medical “stuff”. Not easy to deal with a ton of doctors, I know! We are here for you if we can help in any way!

glenn

Murph – he was prescribed Tramadol, an opioid, and though he took it only once a day, it has become awful and yes, he’s in the middle of detoxing. He’s hyper sensitive to all meds, and it’s taking forever. But the hip pain IS getting better.

choicelady

Glenn….I am with you…make the GOP argue that someone indicted or who should be is not guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – it did not warm our hearts to learn the Coat Guard terrorist is on Tramadol…

choicelady

Tramadol is tricky stuff.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – yes it is.

choicelady

BRB

glenn

Especially in combination with pain blockers.

MurphTheSurf3

Glenn – I do think the hearings will produce convictable evidence and the House will impeach. I would recommend that it be done later in 2020 precisely because we can’t get a conviction. Tie him up, impeach him, no time for the Senate to try him. Then he can’t claim victory. And I think his supporters are serious – they will try to start a civil war.

choicelady

CL – the thing is, it’s the constitutional responsibility for Congress to impeach a president who’s committed impeachable offenses. Even if they fail to remove them. Will Pelosi do that with Trump? I’s Hope so otherwise it would be conceding to the destruction of checks and balances and justice.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Oh I agree, AdLib – it’s strategy and timing that are the issue now.

choicelady

CL…how late in 2020

MurphTheSurf3

I think all anyone has to do is look at badass Nancy to know she’s NOT afraid to impeach. Murph – I’d say mid year and DRAG it OUT. Don’t let the Senate get to him and free him! Have it hanging over his head. That would change IF we had enough brave GOP, but…

choicelady

CL – Sorry to hear you and hubby have been having such a rough time!
AdLib 15 hours ago
CL….so it is June 2020……are you suggesting that the Senate would not get a vote until after the November election? What does this do to the campaign seasons for members of congress et. al.

MurphTheSurf3

I’m hearing talk BTW about some jurisdictions doing away with the DOJ policy of not indicting a sitting president. Some of his issues – tax fraud – belong to the state of NY. They could haul his ass without worrying about DOJ or Trump himself.

choicelady

CL….I am hearing the same thing……a number of Districts are REALLY angry with what Trump has tried to do to THEIR DOJ and they want to take him down.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – it’s a bear to put it off. I think if we do it too soon, McConnell will make sure Trump is cleared, not impeached. Only things could change that would be Mueller’s findings that are SO compelling about criminality and treason the GOP would have little choice.

choicelady

CL I do like the strategy but the drum will need to be beaten confidently for impeachment leading up to it
AdLib 15 hours ago
Murph – Yup. States hate him.

choicelady

CL…a bear indeed.

MurphTheSurf3

CL….the Districts are ALL being led by Trump appointees….that has gotta hurt.

MurphTheSurf3

I met Schiff here in Sacramento. I don’t detect any reluctance to impeach from him. I see no cowardice from Pelosi. It all will hinge on EVIDENCE and airtight at that.

choicelady

The timing of the impeachment in the House is critical. The question is what is the best timing? If the House does impeach, then don’t you think the turtle will act at warp speed to hold the hearing in the Senate while repubs still hold the Senate?

glenn

Southern D. of NY has always gone its own way. Barr could shut them down. We shall see. They call it SDNY the “Sovereign District of NY”. But…???

choicelady

glenn – yes, McTurtle would do his best to clear Trump fast. The later the better. Much will depend on what else is going on.

choicelady

Barr…if he is smart….and all the evidence supports that…..he is going to take the position that things have gone too far to try to artificially intervene.

MurphTheSurf3

CL–“what else is going” as in what states are doing?

glenn

It is my dream that Mueller has the paper on not just the WH but the corrupt Senators and Reps, too.

choicelady

Looks like Trump’s Tax returns are in the cross hairs. 10 years worth.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – I’m not sure yet about the states.

choicelady

CL–You are a beautiful dreamer!

glenn

Murph – LOVE that his taxes can be subpoenaed! (Did I spell that correctly?)

choicelady

glenn – one must have hope!

choicelady

I love how the SDNY is and will go afterr Trump now and after he’s out of the WH. Imprisoned and broke, that should be Trump’s future.
AdLib 15 hours ago
AdLib – if he has committed tax fraud and insurance fraud to the degree Cohen indicated, every state he has property in will have a piece of him and his empire. He will be lucky to live out of an old VW van, presuming he’s not in prison.

choicelady

Murph–You know, I had to look up the statutes on limitation for tax fraud, because I didn’t want the lying bully to be able to slip under the radar. Fortunately, from what I read, tax fraud has no statute of limitations. Tax evasion, i.e., not paying taxes, has a 10-year limit, but not outright fraud. So, Dems better make sure to word the indictment correctly.

glenn

Have you all heard they’re going after Trump’s accountant? Presumption is he will be given 100% immunity if he sings. Wow!

choicelady

Glenn….the image of Trump’s misery is enticing and frightening…what would he be willing to do to stop it from happening.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – it would not be Dems per se but states attorneys general, and they’re pretty good at this stuff.

choicelady

CL–Heard they’re going after the accountant. Didn’t hear the immunity part. Sing a beautiful song!

glenn

The Statutes governing all of this are promising.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – that’s the scary part, and we already know what his fans are willing to do. Back to the Coast Guard guy. I’m also back in the cross hairs, so it’s not an idle concern for me.

choicelady

One by one, block by block the Trump Edifice is likely to be taken down.

MurphTheSurf3

CL–If it’s tax fraud, wouldn’t it be federal taxes? Or, do you think the states will file separate charges?

glenn

States should have jurisdiction over state taxes and state property taxes.

choicelady

CL…so am I…….you look back in this thread you will see a reference to a breakfast I had with a couple of T-loyalists that did not go well.

MurphTheSurf3

glenn – every state’s laws are different, but fraud is fraud universally.

choicelady

Murph–I hope the lying bully and his entire family, except Barron and Tiffany, are sitting in jail within two years’ time. We’ll see. The cynical side of me says he’s gotten away with it this long, and he now has most of the repubs in Congress giving him cover, so I hope with all my being that he is brought down to nothing, but I’ll settle for getting him out of office, and watching him fight all the state charges against him.

glenn

States and fed have separate charges to file against anyone who cheats on their taxes.i think the states will wait to see what the feds do Dues tand if Trump gets pardon in his last days by letting Pence fill in as president. Or he may try to pardon himself.
AdLib 15 hours ago
Glenn – it is good to have a couple of scenarios in mind in this.

MurphTheSurf3

CL–but what I’m getting at is if Congress gets his tax returns, then wouldn’t the federal charges of tax fraud take precedence? And, is that grounds for impeachment?

glenn

Ad–is that legal? Pardoning ones self?

glenn

This whole thing is feeling more and more like Watergate…..special prosecutors, local investigations by police, various Congressional committees, watching the frog slowly boil one degree at a time.

MurphTheSurf3

Murph–yeah the big “prize” is to get him out of office in disgrace, not because he loses in 2020.

glenn

No it’s not legal to pardon oneself, the Supreme Court won’t support that but it doesn’t mean he won’t try. And committing fraud on yours feteral tax returns is a difference charge from commintinf fraud on your state taxes returns so that both can go after him on these seperate charges.

Glenn….I cannot imagine any court backing a self-pardon. Further i think that Pence would run from such a suggestion….

Alright, lady and gents, time for me to call it a night. CL, take care of yourself, and hope to see you soon here on the Planet. Murph, and Ad, take care as well.

Murph – I’m sorry. I just looked, and that sounds awful. I like the ‘steak and hammer’ policy. I also noted your interaction w the guy who was all in for Trump to make money. His reasoning is racism always – just so white people get it, we don’t care about THOSE people. This is the culmination of the civil war.

Glenn…great discussion tonight

Goodnight gleen – lovely to get a brief chance to talk! Be well!

Goodnight glenn see you next week!
AdLib 14 hours ago
Ad and Murph–yeah, he’ll probably try to pardon himself. Probably in a tweet or an emergency order!

glenn

glenn – wouldn’t doubt it for a second.

choicelady

CL…we are, as always, on the same page.

glenn – good night!

Murph – are you seeing ANY pushback from your fellow farmers against tariffs or is the crop base not so affected?

choicelady

Just like Ford pardoned Nixon I think Pence will pardon trump and his family as victims of a witch hunt.
AdLib 14 hours ago
Ad – another reason to do this late in the game and pray we take back the Senate.

choicelady

CL….so many of those farmers are so into Trump that they remain blinded followers….it is insane

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I’m so sorry.

choicelady

Choice..but if this is 2020….and Trump loses the presidency…what happens to his trial in the Senate.

MurphTheSurf3

I seriously don’t think a pardon IF we get the WH is so bad – once he’s pardoned for what he was accused of, he’s still vulnerable to state and OTHER federal crimes.

choicelady

Ad….Pence will hesitate…..he will be in fear of his prosecution I think.

MurphTheSurf3

This is the nature of an actual cult. Their leader represents their self identity. These people would know more split from trump than they would cut off their own arm.
AdLib 14 hours ago
Well, it would be moot, Murph but he’d then be totally vulnerable to criminal charges.

choicelady

Murph – you may well be correct. Pence has major baggage on treason, and I think he’s sweating this.’

choicelady

CL and Ad……keeping the heat up is the key no matter what scenario comes into play….

MurphTheSurf3

I met Schiff as I said. That man is made of ice. He’s NOT warm and fuzzy at all.

choicelady

CL…I sensed that from him. He seems almost robotic…..but it works for him.

MurphTheSurf3

I’ve seen him on TV relaxed and joking, but professionally he’s as much of a ramrod as Mueller.

choicelady

Pence really can’t be charged with obstructions if he pardons trump unless someone finds a specific quote from him that he did it to obstruct justice. My money is on Pence pardoning Trump unless trump believes self-pardon will be sufficient. Which it won’t.
AdLib 14 hours ago
Sidebar – people look for ‘excitement’ in a candidate. I look for steely eyed dedication to law and democracy. I’d vote Schiff for president in a second, and I didn’t even LIKE him after we’d talked. RESPECT him, yes. Like? Nope.

choicelady

Well, we will see…..Yikes! 10:20….this one needs to check my security cameras and alarms, check the shotgun, pull down the shade and call it a night.

MurphTheSurf3

Do you think the muller report will show conspiracy between trump and Russia or not?
AdLib 14 hours ago
Ad – a pardon is no real help when so many other crimes hang over the Yam Man and his spawn.

choicelady

Good night to two of my favorite people!

Damn, Murph – that’s a horrible nighttime routine!

That’s good to hear Murph stay safe!
AdLib 14 hours ago

Murph – that matters. People knowing you will ‘stand your ground’ tends to keep them at bay. I’m just sorry you have to live like that.

choicelady

CL…best to you and your guy….Ad, best to you and your fam! Good night.
