It took around a week for some Democrats and most of the media pundits to shake off their post-2016 Trump PTSD and let themselves accept that the Democrats and a majority of Americans delivered a sweeping Blue Wave in last week’s election.
Republicans lost all over the country, had just a few wins of note but all were in Red states while Republicans were chased out of their homes of Orange County, CA as well as Arizona and even Kansas (and almost GA and FL if not for voter suppression but we’ll get them next time!).
So this weekend’s music thread is to celebrate our resilient democracy and this existential victory that puts a massive check on Trump’s power by winning The House and is the first step before winning back all power from maniacal Trump’s GOP in 2020.

The Beatles – I Want You
“I Want You” captures how I felt on Voting Day … I wanted Democrats “so bad” and I got them. The lyrical first half finishes with votes being cast. The hard rocking second half well describes the inevitable Blue Tsunami that followed.
