The UN came out this week with a report that we may only be twelve years away from widespread global catastrophe due to Climate Change. By 2040, if temperatures rise more than 1.5 degrees Celsius:
Nearly all coral reefs would die out, wildfires and heat waves would sweep across the planet annually, and the interplay between drought and flooding and temperature would mean that the world’s food supply would become dramatically less secure.

As we’ve just seen, hundred year hurricanes followed the next week by thousand year hurricanes and the resulting obliteration of towns, homes and lives, it’s important to keep this issue in the spotlight no matter what distractions Donald Trump throws out. This is about everyone’s survival.
So, to keep the climate in mind, this weekend’s music thread is about the weather. Wind, rain, snow and even sunny days, share songs that keep us thinking about the climate we do and will live in.
Now it’s your turn to let it rain with songs about the weather!
Rains in Africa, as you’ve never heard it before – a capella and in Irish! Makes me proud!
Brilliant! Wow!
