AdLib 7 days ago
When you arrive, don’t forget to say “Hi!” or “Comey, irresponsible…” when you arrive!
AdLib 7 days ago
Call me irresponisible…call me A Clinton Hater!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Hey FD/KT!
AdLib 7 days ago
Shhhhhhh!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Heh!
AdLib 7 days ago
So what do you think about this Comey election meddling?
AdLib 7 days ago
KT is locked out. I need my sign in info if you could send it to me Ad. I was locked out once before. I’m not sure I’m using the right log in info. Hence Fuzzy Dunlop!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Oh! Did I miss an email or comment from you on this???
AdLib 7 days ago
I couldn’t send one, because I’m locked out.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Okay, will be right back after fixing it! Sorry about that!
AdLib 7 days ago
That’s OK, you don’t have to do it now. I might have some fun as Fuzzy!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Well, I’ll get it going then it’s up to you who you are going to be!
AdLib 7 days ago
LOL!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Anyway, what do you think about the Comey drop?
AdLib 7 days ago
I don’t know the hell he’s thinking. He needs to explain himself, and soon.
Fuzzy Dunlop
I don’t think there is anything there that will hurt Hillary. I don’t think she’ll lose any supporters.
Fuzzy Dunlop
He just released a statement to FBI employees but it’s almost as vague as the first.
AdLib 7 days ago
Once again, I think she’s being set up. I just find it hard to believe the director of the FBI would engage in such a thing. Then I think of J. Edgar and all the shit he pulled.
Fuzzy Dunlop
of course, Trump and his minions are in hog heaven about this.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Welcome, Guest!
Fuzzy Dunlop
goodbye Guest!
Fuzzy Dunlop
I’m seeing pundits on the left saying they don’t blame Comey, that he’s just trying to cover his ass.
AdLib 7 days ago
I don’t see how this would achieve that. He’s just making an ass of himself, I think.
Fuzzy Dunlop
This is more about dickhead than it is about Hillary.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Hey Ad and Fuzzy! Emails, shemails!
glenn
That’s what I say Glenn.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Fuzzy Dunlop
Well, I certainly am going to change my vote to trump because of more emails that didn’t come from Clinton’s server, and that Clinton didn’t write, and that may or may not be classified on someone else’s server. So there!
glenn
Hey PPO! How’s your Fergie?
glenn
LOL! Yeah that does it. I’m giving up everything I believe! So there!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Well Fuzzy, I’m so glad you’re so there with me!
glenn
Everyone needs a little fuzzy once in a while!
glenn
I was never dropped on my head as a child. I take it you weren’t either.
Fuzzy Dunlop
hi all, sorry i’m late. My server was hacked to load up on HRC
pinkpantheroz
Hear Hear!
Fuzzy Dunlop
No, but my sister was, and it’s been a problem for most of her life!
glenn
brb
pinkpantheroz
Hey, a Pink Panther! Maybe we should get Clouseau on the case.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Hey Glenn!
AdLib 7 days ago
That can happen!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Hey Ad–how’s it going?
glenn
Hey PPO! I know the feeling!
AdLib 7 days ago
Meanwhile, yet another woman came out to say the Orange Molester groped her.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Pretty good glenn, except for the Comey crap.
AdLib 7 days ago
And there’s a new video with him insulting and then trying to lip lock Miss Australia! What say you to that, PPO?
glenn
What a fine mess!
Beatlex
So, Ad, if you take a Comey crap, does it come out square like a piece of paper? Or is it digitalized?
glenn
This election is one for the books.
Fuzzy Dunlop
The comic books!
glenn
Hey Beatlex!
AdLib 7 days ago
Fo sho!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Hey Beatlex!
glenn
Ad! Hey!
Beatlex
Hey BeatleX
Fuzzy Dunlop
Comeynist?
AdLib 7 days ago
HA!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–LOL!
glenn
Or my earlier, Comey (Call me), irresponsible.
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey, you know what? If it makes trump happy, then I’m happy, right? After all, now he doesn’t think that everything is so “rigged” against him, poor baby that he is!
glenn
Weener is screwed, for sure. He got pervy with a 15 year old girl!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Weener has been screwed for years now! He’s a perv trying to live up to his name. I’m surprised his first name isn’t “dick”.
glenn
Oscar Myer?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Nah, then he would be hot, and that’s he not!
glenn
That guy has what are commonly called…”issues.”
Fuzzy Dunlop
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
Beatlex
shine on you crazy diamond!
Fuzzy Dunlop
I’m willing to listen Beatlex!
glenn
Just to vent, I am upset that Hillary put herself in this position, ironically, to keep people from seeing her emails and using them against her.
AdLib 7 days ago
I hear TRump’s businesses aren’t doing so well these days.
Fuzzy Dunlop
This one really came out the blue though. Who’d a thunk it?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–for someone supposedly politically “savvy”, and someone who has been vilified for over 20 years, one would think she would be the most careful politician out there. It either shows her arrogance, as many say, or her humanity.
glenn
What makes me feel better is knowing how many votes Hillary has already banked. And that her supporters are energized and pretty reliable.
AdLib 7 days ago
I really don’t think this is going to hurt her. People’s mind’s are pretty made up.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Or, she’s not quite as smart as we think she is.
glenn
This will not sway women voters, or black voters ot Latino voters, or college educated whites.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Let Trump and his Trumpies wet their Depends for a few days. They’re still going to lose…BIGLY!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Fuzzy, as Ad says, Hillary has banked many votes already. And, I agree, I don’t see this changing many people’s minds. Unless the emails say that she wants to blow up the world, I can’t think of anything they could say that are harmful. So what if she talks trash about her opponents? I just can’t figure out what the FBI is looking for, and how it relates to her “case”.
glenn
glenn- One interesting email from the Podesta leaks criticized her about having bad instincts. I think she is very smart about many things but when it comes to anticipating blowback, not so much.
AdLib 7 days ago
I told Ad Lib that I really don’t know what Comey is thinking.
Fuzzy Dunlop
She hasn’t done anything illegal.
Fuzzy Dunlop
This election defies everything that has come before. This defies all wisdom.”The Subversion of Democracy” A 3 part blog coming as soon as I can get Ad to help me write it!
Beatlex
FD – I don’t think she has but she opened up this whole can of worms and made herself such a target on this so unnecessarily.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, hindsight is 20/20. Of course the GOP is going to milk this for all it can.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Even if she’s elected (which I think she surely will).
Fuzzy Dunlop
if Weener had kept his Oscar Myer in his pajamas, this would never have been a thing.
Fuzzy Dunlop
The FBI won’t find anythin before the election and most likely nothing after either.
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – I think all of us could agree that any government employee shouldn’t be using anything other than a government email address for emails. It was foreseeable. Again, I don’t think she did anything to break the law but her penchant for secrecy always seems to hurt her more than if she wasn’t so secretive. That said, this shouldn’t change the outcome of the election. And especially coming on a Friday, many folks will be too busy with their weekend to pay it much attention.
AdLib 7 days ago
Meanwhile Chump is flailing away,aimless
Beatlex
Yup, Fuzzy, the gop has already said we are facing at least four more years of investigations. Read a good quote the other day–forget who it’s from–but it says, “Republicans’ idea of governance is investigations; Democrats’ idea is legislation.”
glenn
Republicans are incapable of writing good legislation. I really hope we take the Senate, which is looking pretty possible.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Just checked it–it was LBJ, and it’s “republicans investigate; Democrats legislate.
glenn
There are none so blind as those that won’t see.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Fuzzy–and hopefully, we’ll pick up a few more seats in the House. The repubs will still have a majority, but not such a large one.
glenn
Every bit helps. I wish we could clear the house and senate of the lot of them. Oh well, democracy is messy.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Fuzzy–even when republicans come up with a pretty decent piece of legislation, such as the ACA, when Democrats agree to it, they have to sabotage it some way. That’s why we don’t have single payer.
glenn
We really need to get The Senate and grab back a lot of the House. Yes, the Repub investigations will go on but maybe it will be a bridge too far for most Americans!
AdLib 7 days ago
At this point in time, he damn well should be.
Fuzzy Dunlop
americ has places to go, and this standing still shit just doesn’t cut it.
Fuzzy Dunlop
What happened to the Panther?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Fuzzy, it would be nice if we were just “standing still”, but IMO, we’re going backwards!
glenn
FD – Check your email…
AdLib 7 days ago
Thanks Ad.
Fuzzy Dunlop
The Pink Panther is sneaky!
AdLib 7 days ago
Ha!
Fuzzy Dunlop
If Hillary can get the SCOTUS working again, put more judges in courts and get Exec Orders gooing on a variety of things, even the harassment and stonewalling of the House won’t stop progress.
AdLib 7 days ago
So, Ad, what do you think of the not guilty verdict for the Bundy gang? How many more “takeovers” do you think we’ll see now?
glenn
I hope she doesn’t have to go that route, but she probably will have to.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–I know the Senate approves SCOTUS nominations; what role does the House play in those nominations?
glenn
Hi guys!
Harleigh
glenn – I’m so disgusted by that! And yes, that insane jury just sanctioned ever militia making armed movements against the US and American people!
AdLib 7 days ago
I hope Clinton orders more EO’s than any president in history!
glenn
Hey Harleigh!
glenn
Hey Harleigh!
AdLib 7 days ago
What’s up Harleigh?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–that’s my take on it too. I don’t understand the right’s version of “patriotism”.
glenn
Who the hell was on that jury? Alt righters?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Same old. Picking a fed target to take over… the usual… and emails… LMAO
Harleigh
My oh my, what to occupy?
Fuzzy Dunlop
glenn – No role at all for House in SCOTUS nominations. Just meant that she can have victories through more Progressive judges being appointed even if The House blocks all the legislation she promotes.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn – No role at all for House in SCOTUS nominations. Just meant that she can have victories through more Progressive judges being appointed even if The House blocks all the legislation she promotes.
AdLib 7 days ago
FD–Apparently. Didn’t read any articles on it about how they came to their decision. Did you happen to find any?
glenn
Me?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Part 1″Subversion of Democracy” We all know by now that America has serious problems.Stemming mostly from the flaws in your “checks and balances” system. The intent of the framers was the opposite of what happened.
Beatlex
Ad–that’s what I thought, but wanted to make sure.
glenn
glenn – The only defense they had was that they weren’t really armed to intimidate anyone and it was just a constitutionally protected protest.
AdLib 7 days ago
I just read a short article about it. I was quite surprised. I guess armed occupation is now legal.
Fuzzy Dunlop
unfortunately yes
Harleigh
Beatlex–the framers are spinning in their graves about now.
glenn
supreme Court maybe?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–okay, so will BLM have the same “rights”?
glenn
….oops…will BLM NOW have the same rights?
glenn
black lives, or land management?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Beatlex – No kidding! With Repubs now saying that they will smother the SCOTUS by refusing noms and just letting judges die off, it’s horrifying!
AdLib 7 days ago
Sorry, Black Lives Matter.
glenn
When we take back the senate, we’ll get our 9th judge.
Fuzzy Dunlop
The gop is treasonous. I’m serious too.
Fuzzy Dunlop
glenn – Nope, neither black people nor Native Americans are allowed 2nd Amendment rights when they protest.
AdLib 7 days ago
Just white men.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I’m about running out of words to describe what the repubs like cruz, chaffetz, and trump are trying to do to our democracy. Horrified doesn’t begin to describe it!
glenn
I think our democracy will survive these yahoos, but they’ll won’t go quietly. They’ll throw a few tantrums along the way, like the spoiled children they are.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–yup, it’s becoming more and more apparent that only white lives matter in this country.
glenn
FD and glenn – The GOP stands for blocking minorities from the right to vote, supports a police state where cops are like the military and can shoot innocent black people and destroying the SCOTUS and women’s rights. How is that not treasonous? Those are all rights in the Constitution?
AdLib 7 days ago
or I should say…only white men. Women, not so much, since now some are calling for repeal of the 19th amendment! Just think how boring these conversations would be on Friday nights without my “womanly” input!
glenn
Absolutely.
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – Agreed, we will grind past these terrible period for our democracy but it will continue to e harmful and scarring.
AdLib 7 days ago
Insufferable!
Fuzzy Dunlop
AD-echoing FD–absofuckinglutely!
glenn
does Chaffetz have a punchable face, or is it just me?
Fuzzy Dunlop
And yet…we have 35% – 40% of Americans who are racist/ignorant/selfish/emotionally deranged who would vote America and the world into massive disasters via Trump.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–let’s not forget that repubs are calling for impeachment before Clinton is even elected!
glenn
FD – More punchable than Ted Cruz or Trump?
AdLib 7 days ago
the Dakota pipeline vs Indian land and rights is going south fast too.
Harleigh
FD–I disagree; chaffetz’s face is not punchable; it’s kickable, preferably while he’s flat on his back!
glenn
That proves that racism, bigotry and hatred get passed down from generation to generation.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Just as, at least. Most of them do, for some occult reason!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Ad–I want to pull trump’s so-called hair out of his scalp. As for cruz, it’s not only his face that’s punchable. Wow! I’m in a violent mood tonight!
glenn
glenn – Yep, impeachment and aaa neverending regurgitation her email server crap and Benghazi for 8 more years. How can the morons supporting Trump notunderstand that all this means nothing will get done to help them?!
AdLib 7 days ago
LOL Glenn
Harleigh
Go get em Glenn!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Harleigh – I think it’s all a done deal, corporate power has oonce again used our govenrment to attack and slap down citizens and their rightful claims. This is disgusting.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad,Everyone, educate me,is there not a mechanism to have a constitutional conference on changes to the document? If so,it would seem that that would be an avenue for progs to persue? Anyone know the answer?
Beatlex
Ad–I know; I was talking to a good friend the other day, and she said that most people voting for trump are actually voting against Hillary. I asked her if they had thought that through, and what they thought would happen if trump actually became ….. I can’t say trump’s name and the “p” word in the same sentence. She had no answer. Just to be clear; she’s not a trump supporter; she was just explaining to me why people are voting for trump.
glenn
Amendements can be proposed by the House, I believe?
Fuzzy Dunlop
How many wives of Trump supporters are going to secretly vote for Hillary?
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD–all of them, I hope!
glenn
Me too.
Fuzzy Dunlop
2 fuzzy
Beatlex
I just have to say, there are too many flat out stupid people in America for progress to be made on anything in the time that’s needed for things to get a lot better in this country. I know the pundits say we have to embrace the stupid people out there but…just for this one moment in time at Vox…fuck ’em! Stupidity is destructive, I’m supposed to embrace destructive people?
AdLib 7 days ago
Impossible Beatlex. Requires super majority in house and senate and ratification by 3/4 of the states.
Harleigh
I can dream Harl
Beatlex
3/4 or 2/3?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Beatlex–yes, the House can propose amendments; but any amendment has to be ratified by 2/3rds of the states. It’s a very long, drawn-out process. Back in the 60’s, progs tried to get the Equal Rights Amendment passed, but it’s still waiting for 2/3rds of states to approve.
glenn
I may have it backwards…. it been a long time since I was king.
Harleigh
glenn – Totally cool, I’m pretty angry at this point too that we can be this close to having such a monster as President! The MSM carries a lot of blame but so do the intentionally ignorant and racist people out there.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–let’s just embrace the stuffin’ out of them! You know, until they suffocate!
glenn
So my friends, there is nothing that can be done to stop the spiral you are on? And you are on a spiral
Beatlex
Trump stuck at just the right time, when so many Americans have been so riled up by RW talking heads.
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD and Harleigh–I’m pretty sure it’s 2/3rds.
glenn
Yeah, it is.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Trump, con man that he is, so his mark and went for it. He’s going to miss, but he’s left a lot of ugliness in his wake.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Beatlex – I used too think that having a Constitutional Convention would be a great thing, essentially opening the Constitution up too be changed by the states. But the arguments against that won me over. Imagine the permanent compromises that coould be made with the RW, giving them the opportunity to permanently change the Constitution is more dangerous than dragging through the SCOTUS decisions to change it.
AdLib 7 days ago
well I gots to work tomorrow. I think it is 2/3. It used to be 32 out of 48. now it may bee 33out of 50??
Harleigh
night guys
Harleigh
Later H.
Fuzzy Dunlop
I don’t even pretend to know how it works Ad,It is so frustrating! What can be done?
Beatlex
glenn – My guess is that the polls are pretty much correct, Trump voters will vote for him, Hillary voters for her and the results on election night will resemble polling out there today. Though, Hillary has banked a lot of votes in swing states already so even with this Comey legal barf, I think she wins clearly.
AdLib 7 days ago
I think this comey think is a fart in an elevator. Nasty for a bit, but it fades quickly!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Yes, it’s 2/3 of states to change the Constitution as well as 2/3 of Congress. Very difficult!
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad,Agreed,I would be truly shocked(and dismayed) If that piece of shit Trump won.It would have far reaching effects, mostly bad
Beatlex
FD–it may fade quickly with Comey and the FBI, but the repubs are not going to let it fade. They’ve said as much this past week.
glenn
Beatlex – I think we can only safely change the Constitution with a Progressive SCOTUS.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, they stink too. Unfortunately, that smell won’t fade so easily!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Do any of you think trump will start his own tv station after he loses the election?
glenn
Beatlex – He won’t win. This latest garbage could reduce Hillary’s margin of victory if it isn’t knocked down hard enough but I don’t think anything makes Trump win.
AdLib 7 days ago
YES AD! there is a way! To me that is the only way that things can change
Beatlex
FD–yes they stink to high heaven, unfortunately. Yet, 35-40% of the American people love their smell!
glenn
I can’t see America allowing a dangerous twit like Trump in the Oval Office.
Fuzzy Dunlop
I think that 35-40% of the American people have gone “nose blind” to the stink of repubs!
glenn
glenn – I sure hope Trump does try to start up Trump TV and a war is launched between Fox News and him, the GOP will be torn apart even more.
AdLib 7 days ago
I think Trump will lose, and his “Brand” will be destroyed, there is already evidence of that.Karma
Beatlex
FD – I agree, Trump stinks way too much, Hillary will see some negatives rise but I think it’s too late for Trump to beat her in most swing states. Early voting has locked in Hillary advantages and turnout by Hillary voters will be even more intense after this crap.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–while it’s somewhat entertaining to watch the gop rip each other apart; it’s also dangerous, because our media parrots every stupid thing they say and do, without giving it any context!
glenn
The only way to change things among these yahoos is to pass real progressive legislation that improves their lives a bit. When they see things working better and then are reminded of how they were wrong, that may help quite a bit.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Beatlex – Yes, Trump will be a pariah for most people around the globe and his businesses will go under (because many of those supporting him are poorer rural folks who aren’t his customers at hotels and such).
AdLib 7 days ago
Fuzzy, have you listened to some of these people? Too stupid for words
Beatlex
oh yeah.
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD–I hope you’re correct; but their lives have improved under President Obama; most of trump’s supporters are solidly middle class–I think the average income is around $57,000–yet they can’t get over their hatred of President Obama and soon-to-be President Clinton.
glenn
glenn – So true, just look at this ComeyCrap. The MSM is running around with its hair on fire because of the RW media and Repubs distorting it, they just act as a loudspeaker for extremists. That’s how Trump got to where he is. Our corporate meadia is so damn dangerous too.
AdLib 7 days ago
The racism and bigotry will be very difficult to rid. Maybe it will take further evolution, and holy shit, that takes a long time.
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD–to complete my thought–hit return before I was done–they have been reminded of how wrong they’ve been and still vote for trump. It’s not easy to change stupidity.
glenn
I believe their main motivation is racism and xenophobia.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Or to change hatred.
glenn
In the immortal words of Ron White…”You Can’t Fix Stupid!”
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – WHich is why Repub pols do all they can to block government from helping anyone. They don’t want people’s lives to be improved by government, they want to smother government so the wealthy don’t have to pay taxes and can further exploit the 99%. BTW, where is Occupy Wall Street when you really need them?
AdLib 7 days ago
Stupid is as stupid votes.
AdLib 7 days ago
Okay, folks, time for me to call it a night. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Hope to see you next week!
glenn
That’s what I believe as well. They have to be excised, like the cancer they are. That too is a very slow process.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Night glenn! Have a great weekend!
AdLib 7 days ago
nite glenn. KT here!
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – What’s so wrong about sending them to the FEMA concentration camps? They seem to think it’s coming anyway!
AdLib 7 days ago
KT/FD–yeah, I did know it was you.
glenn
What gave me away?
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – Your drink orders.
AdLib 7 days ago
i’d like to send the to Mars, but then, what did Mars ever do to us?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Damn! Foiled again!
Fuzzy Dunlop
FD – I thought men were from Mars.
AdLib 7 days ago
how about the Sun?
Fuzzy Dunlop
Maybe send the stupid and racist to Uranus?
AdLib 7 days ago
They are anuses! Anuses Are Us!
Fuzzy Dunlop
Well, time to say good night! So, good night!
Fuzzy Dunlop
How much thought do you give to other, more effective ways of governing? There are at least 8 or 9 Countries in the western world besides America. The rub is,that we believe that 50%+1 rules .Your branches of Goverment have ways to change the rules midstream,60 senators to carry on a vote? That AIN’T democracy my friends
Beatlex
Exactly!
AdLib 7 days ago
Theiranus? or Trumpanus?
AdLib 7 days ago
Theiranus? or Trumpanus?
AdLib 7 days ago
Anus-sis Ad!
Beatlex
How about we turn Trump voters into Soylent Green. Then everyone wins!
AdLib 7 days ago
THERE PEPOLEEEE!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!
Beatlex
Part of me wants some of them to mount an attempt to violently overthrow our democracy so that they can be crushed and scared away from their anti-Americanism.
AdLib 7 days ago
“How to Serve Man…it’s about Republicans devouring themselves!”
AdLib 7 days ago
Really Ad,I am disgusted by this election. It has been allowed to sink to the depths of political porn
Beatlex
BTW, did you see how Alabama is being destroyed by drought in 97% of the state, has next to no water management and believes Climate Change is a myth? The ignorant are trying to destroy themselves!
AdLib 7 days ago
And real porn! It’s the GOP and the MSM who brought us Trump and put him in a position too damage our democracy.
AdLib 7 days ago
I think it is worth examining Ad,My idea of a 3 part blog on “The subversion of Democracy” examining REAL options for grassroots activity.I am sure there are good ideas out there, starting here,at Vox.I have ideas, but need help putting them to words.ThX Ad
Beatlex
Beatlex, happy to help. If you write a first draft, I can help edit it.
AdLib 7 days ago

Day to day life is where we’re overwhelmed by the distractions that keep us from seeing the profound truths and questions about being alive. Love is one of those enormous truths.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well said Ad,I am there too in my life,I find that since my health scare that the noise that is daily life pale in compared to what really matters.Serenity.I like nature shows of any kind.Nature is the real truth
Beatlex

I can’t say I successfully escape all the distractions in each day. The best I can do is try and acknowledge the big truths and questions, about life and existence. And of course the greatness of compassion and love…as well as the easy traps of anger and ego. It’s tough to navigate through those seas and stay on course.

I try to watch or do different things,I still see a lot of coverage of American politics.I must be a masochist or obsessed? Wah! What AD!
Beatlex

Politics do matter and US politics can affect the suffering or prospering of people all around the world. And the life or death of people too. Politics do matter.
AdLib 7 days ago
OK Ad,You strike me as a very intelligent man and have a good grasp of the politics of your country.Question? What, within the parameters of your political system, can be done(or what needs to be done)to affect real change?
Beatlex
Well…I think change has been happening slowly and could be solidified this year if Hillary is elected. Like turning a huge ship, it’s slow and gradual. Big picture, changing the character of the SCOTUS will make the most profound change at this point while Repubs still control at least one house of Congress. Probably the most important thing people can do moving forward is work hard to change the state governments so that when redistrciting is done in 2020, Democrats can get rid of the gerrymandering that allows Repubs too be petty tyrants. That would break open the flood gates of change, to have a Dem President, Senate and House.
AdLib 7 days ago
Good! Gerrmandering! the most anti democratic of all,It illistrates the silliness of State power. Some things, like elections, should be party neutral
