Vox Populi begins tonight at 7:00pm PST! And I know that’s a fact because Brian Williams tweeted it! Hope to see you then!

sillylittleme

Yep, very warm here as well….in fact, a house is on fire a mile away and the smoke is bad.
adlib 14 days ago

pinkpantheroz
Ad – are you in a fire alley? and is it safe at your home?
sillylittleme

No pink,LOL

tAda!
Harleigh
slm – We’re fine, just a single house on fire and a mile away but must be lots of fuel in the house because it’s burning a lot of smoke.
adlib 14 days ago
Hey Harleigh!
adlib 14 days ago
going down under 50 here in FTL
Harleigh

Harleigh
PPO – Yes, there are such important realities that even Progressives shy away from because they’re not politically correct.
adlib 14 days ago
Hey, Beat, has seattle stopped whining yet about SB XLIX?
pinkpantheroz
Never understood racism but there are other issues too like, do these yaga pants make my ass look fat?
Harleigh
Nice touch that Tom Brady gave his MVP truck to the hero of the day. Actually he probavly doesn’t have any more room in his garage next to the Mercs, Beemers and other exotica!
pinkpantheroz

You will have to be more specific OZ,what is that about?
Beatlex

Beat, the Superbowl.
pinkpantheroz

Any truth to the rumor that Brian Williams is applying to coach the Seahawks next year?
adlib 14 days ago
Ad, I heard that – from Brian himself. and if Brian Told Me… it must be so!
pinkpantheroz
Brian is going to faux to cohost with Meghan! LOL
Harleigh
No Ad,he has been asked to coordinate the American operations in the middle east
Beatlex
I think that Brian Williams is responsible for Jon Stewart’s retirement from Daily Show. I think it has left Jon despondent…
sillylittleme
Good evening, all.How is everyone?
glenn
Hi Glenn.

SLM!
Harleigh
hey!
Harleigh
Hi Beatlex, SLM, and PPO. PPO, no fair bragging about your warm weather when it’s so cold elsewhere! Even in FTL, according to Harleigh.
glenn
Poor Brian, he just wanted to be a celebrity so badly…and he became one, so badly.
adlib 14 days ago
Ad–how are you? Yes, brian became a celeb—badly. And, even after Jon Stewart tried to prop him up all those times on his show. I’m despondent about Jon’s retirement! Jessica Williams should replace him!
glenn
glenn, sending warmth to all the Frozen People!. As the Bible says: “Many are cold, but few are Frozen”
pinkpantheroz
Hi Choice
sillylittleme
PPO–LOL!
glenn
Evening all – hi glenn. You bragging about warmth? Hi SLM – good to see you!
choicelady
Glenn – great suggestion
sillylittleme
It was 75 here today in Sacramento, about 14 degrees above normal and thus very worrisome. We have MOSQUITOES everywhere!
choicelady
CL–Hi back atcha! No, I’m not bragging about warmth–PPO is.
glenn
Glenn,we put up with 2 ft of snow and wicked cold,we deserve a break
Beatlex
Hey, Cl, that was me, its hot today in Melbourne.
pinkpantheroz
Hey glenn! Just fine! Yep, was a bad week for journalism but the worst was Jon Stewart’s announcement.
adlib 14 days ago
Oh, PPO – it’s SUMMER where you are! No fair!
choicelady
Hey CL!
adlib 14 days ago
Hey AdLib – great to see you. Good to see PPO and Harleigh, too.
choicelady
Hi Beatlex – had to scroll down to see you.
choicelady
SLM–Thanks, I am a huge fan of Jessica’s. Her dry delivery just cracks me up!
glenn
Beatlex–I don’t think we’re going to have two feet of snow, but we are supposed to get snow next week here in GA.
glenn
Hey CL!
Beatlex
Glenn – It would be a great lead in to the Larry Wilmore show
sillylittleme
grabbing a coffee. back in a few
pinkpantheroz
Jessica is great and I think she’d be a very solid host but losing Stewart is a big loss no matter who replaces him.
adlib 14 days ago
hey CL
Harleigh
SLM–I’m still not sure about the Larry Wilmore show; although I’m really warming up to the “keep it 100” segment. I love it when he throws the tea bags at guests.
glenn
Everyone – I know the changes in the Daily Show will be hard, but I survived the loss of the Smothers Brothers, of Laugh In, of “That Was the Week that Was” and lived to tell the tale. What comes next is often even better than what we had.
choicelady
Wouldn’t it make sense to bring John Oliver off HBO to host the Daily Show permanently? Apparently he was quite popular in Jon’s absence.
choicelady
Glenn, look at the weather map,it is nuts everywhere, screw the deniers.Something’s happening here, what it is EXACTLY CLEAR
Beatlex
I was thinking of applying for the job but I didn’t want to show up Stewart so soon after his departure.
adlib 14 days ago
Choice – great attitude
sillylittleme
CL–Agree that the changes to the Daily Show will be hard to take. I think it will take a while to warm up to a new host. But, if the writers stay the same, it might work.
glenn
Beatlex – I hear music when you speak…
choicelady
Glenn – I know what you mean
sillylittleme
Choice, there are wise people in music
Beatlex
AdLib – you’d be BOFFO and I think even better than Jon. Your modesty serves you well.
choicelady
Beatlex – indeed!
choicelady
Ad–I think you would make a great Daily Show host. And Harleigh and Murph could be part of your cast!
glenn
Ad – would you move to NYC? I think you’d be great
sillylittleme
I would have to do reports from the whackdoodle state of floriduh.
Harleigh
glenn – superb idea!
choicelady
Beatlex–your words live up to your name. BTW, did you see Dana Carver’s imitation of McCartney trying to explain Kanye West to Lennon (in heaven)? It was hilarious!
glenn
Harleigh – that segment alone puts the New Daily Show over the top!
choicelady
And…wait for it…CL could be the Church Lady!
glenn
LOL CL
Harleigh
Glenn,no to the Kanye asshole thing,But the rest is heart felt
Beatlex
SLM – I think the New Daily Show with AdLib would have to be based in LA. Of COURSE I’d be the Church Lady.
choicelady
Harleigh–considering the reports you do now from the wackadoodle state of FL, you’d be a great hit!
glenn
Thx glenn
Harleigh
All we need to round it out is Alpha Bitch to handle wackadoodle from Texas. We’re IN.
choicelady
and i could still wear myyoga pants! LMAO
Harleigh
Harleigh – I take it you weren’t the driver in Boca that I saw in the news…
sillylittleme
CL–OMG–Alpha Bitch would definitely put the New Daily Show over the top!
glenn
I just wish it to be known, and AdLib can confirm, that this Church Lady has much better hair, much nicer shoes, and no pearls in sight.
choicelady
Okay, everyone at The Planet has to be a correspondent if I host!
adlib 14 days ago
Harleigh – they gave up the ban in MT. You’re safe in yoga breeches.
choicelady
AdLib – we’re ALL IN!
choicelady
I can vouch for that, CL!
adlib 14 days ago
Harleigh–if you wore your yoga pants, you might not be the only one laughing your ass off!
glenn
Nope I have not been to Boca in months. SHIT, the racoons are racing on my roof!
Harleigh
AdLib,what the fuk man, were there for you!
Beatlex
Harleigh – report from the field: FL racoons run amok! Film at 11!
choicelady
Ad–I’ll be your education correspondent!
glenn
We should be allowed to shoot them like tourists! LOL
Harleigh
Harleigh – what? Racoons don’t have Stand Your Ground rights? Discrimination!
choicelady
Harleigh–Damn–I moved out of FL too soon. It’s legal to shoot tourists now?
glenn
Only during tourist season!
Harleigh
Harleigh–do you live in a “no-go zone”?
glenn
Harleigh – when ISN’T it tourist season in FL?
choicelady
glenn – yeah, there are SO MANY of those zones…
choicelady
CL–Well, I hear CA is a complete “no-go zone” for tea partiers! Lucky you!
glenn
you are more likely to get robbed, shot or murdered here by the police than a gangbanger.
Harleigh
THIS Is Hilarious my friends!
Beatlex
glenn – were that was true. We have a lot of TP folks, like it or not. And I don’t.
choicelady
https://youtu.be/nGeKSiCQkPw
Beatlex
Harleigh! That’s horrifying but funny!
choicelady
every place north of Boca is baggertopia.
Harleigh
glenn – one TP leader ran for governor after being indicted for smuggling a gun onto a plane.
choicelady
Beatlex–at least you got rid of the Sun network up there in Canada. We still have to put up with foxsocallednews.
glenn
The only bagger that didn’t get elected was West!
Harleigh
glenn – he was a state Assembly Member and was not tried or convicted. Even the fools on the Right have that kind of pull.
choicelady
CL–Damn tea partiers are like termites–they’re everywhere! As far as “smuggling” a gun onto a plane, he was only exercising his second amendment rights, dontcha know?
glenn
Harleigh – be grateful for small favors. West is the looniest of the lot outside of Ben Carson.
choicelady
glenn – he said he ‘forgot it was there’. He got off.
choicelady
My comment disappeared, so I will speak again. Hello everyone. I hope all is well with you!
sabreen60
Sabreen!!!!! Hello dear healthy friend!
choicelady
Isn’t Boca a “no-go zone” according to Bobby Jindal?
adlib 14 days ago
Harleigh–West is so far west of sanity, it’s scary!
glenn
Hey Sabreen!
adlib 14 days ago
Allen West is the worst. He lived in the same South Florida district that I live in that was represented by Debbie Wassermann-Schultz whom he could never defeat. He was elected in 2010 in a district he didn’t even live in and after redistricting he then moved to a gated community miles away where he was defeated by a progressive Dem newcomer to politics in a repubeliebagger gerrymandered district! West was drummed out of the Army in lieu of court martial for prisoner abuse, and voted out of office in 2 districts. His often incoherent, crazy, misogynistic teabagger rants include Rep Wassermann-Schultz were personal, anti-Semitic and wholly unprofessional. He did get a real job once that he was quickly fired from for calling a female Jewish co-worker a ‘Princess’. When West heard that a minority had moved into his new gated community he organized a protest. When he found out it was him he lit a cross in his own front yard.
Harleigh

Hi Sabreen

Harleigh –
sillylittleme
Harleigh – ROFLMAO!!!! I can believe that – he’s running away from his own skin every time he opens his mouth.
choicelady
SLM – I understand the confusion! Hard to tell them apart.
choicelady
Harleigh – Kinda like Jindal’s portriat of a “white” Jindal. Of course, that’s how he sees himself when he looks in the mirror.
sabreen60
I’m waiting for West and Carson to come out of the closet hand in hand! That will be my first news report.
Harleigh
Sabreen – could you BELIEVE that portrait? Yikes!
choicelady
https://youtu.be/nGeKSiCQkPw
Beatlex
Harleigh–why wait? Just report it, and then say you “misspoke”!
glenn
Piyush has gone over the edge.
Harleigh
Harleigh – I am flummoxed re Ben Carson. I read his autobiography years ago. His book was sane. He has lost his mind.
sabreen60
Girls,that was a donated by a voter,Not that I am defending him
Beatlex
Harleigh – that would be my impression. From protesting the GOP is the party of stupid to confirming it doesn’t seem like a good step but a catapult over the edge.
choicelady
Beatlex, just don’t add the “v” after “http” and it should work:
adlib 14 days ago
Michael Jackson did a better white transition.
Harleigh
Sabreen – chasing big donations turned his brain to mush
sillylittleme
Adlib-Right
Beatlex
Harleigh – sorry, poor Michael really did not go smoothly into his demise.
choicelady
CL–well said!
glenn
CL–well said, regarding Jindahl, I mean!
glenn
BRB
glenn
glenn – yes, I did understand! Hard to keep it all in order, isn’t it?
choicelady
Ben Carson seems like an egotistical opportunist. Like many educated Repubs, he chooses to play the role of the ignorant ideologue but it’s all about being wealthy, a celebrity and popular.
adlib 14 days ago
slm – That or that agreesive form of prostate cancer he had. Seriously, I don’t how much or what damage it may have done. But he certainly became a changed man after the surgery.
sabreen60
AdLib – Saw my first “Carson in 2016” sticker. Car badly driven by a white guy.
choicelady
Sabreen – my CPA went bonkers after hip replacement surgery. She filed someone ELSE’s taxes in my name, and Im still hiring another CPA to clean up her mess. I do think major surgery can have a serious impact on the brain in older people.
choicelady
I would love to see West, Carson ans piyush at a central floriduh klan meeting after dark! WAHAHAHA
Harleigh
Carson has a special on PBS talking abou the brain. He’s so soft spoken. Actually sounds sane. He doesn’t say anything political.
sabreen60
Harleigh – ohhhhhh. That would not end well.
choicelady
CL – “Drunk Drivers For Ben Carson!”
adlib 14 days ago
I guess ISIS is to dodgy a topic huh folks?
Beatlex
Sabreen – he should stick to what he knows.
choicelady
AdLib – that’s right. Road rage Drivers for Carson.
choicelady
CL but it would make another great report!
Harleigh
Ben Carson says he may be a doctor but he’s not a scientist so the jury’s still out on if he has a brain.
adlib 14 days ago
“People With Anger Management Problems for Ben Carson!”
adlib 14 days ago
he’s a bagger…. badly functioning brain.
Harleigh
Not worth talking about
Beatlex
AdLib – PWAMPs for Carson?
choicelady
lol
Harleigh
Beatlex – we can talk ISIS so long as it’s not in support…
choicelady
Did he give himself a lobotomy?
sillylittleme
SLM – problem is he drove himself home again.
choicelady
Took me a while to get here. The link was not showing up via my server system so I switched to my mobil hot spot. There is was.
murphthesurf3
Hi Murph
sillylittleme
Murph – who knew you ‘lived’ in a hot spot? Glad to see you!
choicelady
ISIS looks like any average police swat squad in the US, masks and all. fuckin cowards.
Harleigh
Harleigh – nobody nowhere in the US is THAT bad. Only sort of that bad.
choicelady
CL…so funny…..hot, hot, hot.
murphthesurf3
The MSM is pushing Jebby as a front runner just because he’s 1 poin ahead in a poll…with only 16% while Rand Paul is at 15% and the others are all around that percentage…except poor Marco Rubio at 4%. Polls don’t mean much at this point but who wants to be at the bottom of them?
adlib 14 days ago
Hey Murph!
adlib 14 days ago
AdLib – I LIVE for whoever is at the bottom of the GOP poll. That’s who I want to run.
choicelady
LOL CL… sort of. Hey Murph!
Harleigh
Harleigh–if west, carson and piyush were together, I think that would definitely count as “tourist season” and potshots would be allowed!
glenn
Harleigh – Years ago, I remember Dinesh D’Souza saying a lot of nonsense on “Politically Incorrect” implying that he wouldn’t have any problem with the police. I couldn’t help but think, yeah walk down some street in Brentwood, CA late at night and see what a cop thinks he sees you from a distance.
sabreen60
glenn and everyone – did you see Christie’s plummet in polls in NEW JERSEY?
choicelady
I STILL want a Palin – Bachmann 2016 ticket for jebus.
Harleigh
CL – Then you better find a “Marco Rubio For President” bumper sticker while they’re still around. They come attached to a small bottle of water.
adlib 14 days ago
I loved gettin really really stone and listening to their speeches…. but in the future that may require some good ol acid.
Harleigh
Hiya Murph!
sabreen60
Sabreen – look what happened to that poor man in Texas. He was from India, was grabbed while taking a walk, and is now semi paralyzed (is that how you spell it – looks very wrong). They grabbed him JUST because he was Brown. No other reason.
choicelady
Hey Murph!
glenn
AdLib – so long as Rubio didn’t SWILL the water before I got it…
choicelady
CL – I read that. So sad.
sabreen60
CL–They grabbed that man from India because they had a complaint of “man walking while black in a white neighborhood.”
glenn
So D’souza better watch his butt.
choicelady
CL–is D’souza in jail yet? I’d love to see him there where he’d really have to watch his butt!
glenn
glenn – that’s exactly right. Years ago, a Black attorney – incredibly handsome – did an experiment by walking down the sidewalk wearing a beautiful suit, well dressed, and he got stopped over and over and over. That’s a crime then and now.
choicelady
glenn – he’s not going to DO time. Made me furious!
choicelady
You mean Dinesh the criminal?
adlib 14 days ago
AdLib – yes. He’s got some airy house arrest sentence or something. No jail. Not for our little man.
choicelady
Rubio is known here in Flori-duh as a chronic liar about his past and just about everything else. His parents came to Miami in 1956 years before Castro came to power in 1958. He has always claimed to be a ‘Refugee’ although he was born in the US in 1971! Much of his support is from non-English speaking third generation ‘refugees’. Castro has always played the US like a Caribbean steel drum by unloading Cuba’s prisons, hospitals and asylums into Miami. That is the reason Miami usually tops the list of worst cities to live in merika. If relations are normalized all the hundreds of thousands of Cubans in the US would no longer be ‘refugees’ and would lose their free benefits and have to go on welfare if they don’t work and medicaid as well.
Harleigh
CL – It seems when they go to the UK, they make fools of themselves. Well actually they’re just being themselves. But when Walker was asked about evolution, he said he’d have to punt on that question. Eric Bohelert from Media Matters said the use of the word “punt” speaks volumes of Walker’s inability to express himself.
sabreen60
Ad–he’s not a criminal; he’s a victim of the evil Obama conspiracy, dontcha know?
glenn
AdLib – of course he’s an adulterer, so being sentenced to house arrest with maybe his wife MIGHT be worse than I think.
choicelady
Sabreen – I love the way they fall on their respective arses when they go to the UK!
choicelady
You guys are looking at the margins. The troubles in the ME and the Ukraine, makes this 2016 election talk seem moot to this Canadian
Beatlex
glenn – Oh. That’s right Obama made him commit election fraud. How COULD I forget!
choicelady
Sorry, folks, gotta go out for tonight’s dinner. Good chats today.
pinkpantheroz
Beatlex – we right now are doing this because it’s too damn painful to look at the ME and Ukraine ALL the time.
choicelady
nite PPO
Harleigh
G’night, PPO. Have a great weekend!
glenn
Bye PPO – have fun!
choicelady
Nite PPO. Have a great dinner!
sabreen60
CL – So what you’re saying is that Dinesh should be the Republican nominee for President?
adlib 14 days ago
Beatlex – I was very interested in how the European Union got Vlad the Impaler to sign a stand down agreement on the Ukraine today. I think that was the deal from last week with PBO – they’d get it done so PBO wouldn’t outshine Vlad.
choicelady
BBQ ROO??? lol oh that’s bad….
Harleigh
AdLib – he’s no worse, no better than any of the pack. Why not?
choicelady
Choicelady,it should be talked about by us.This crap about Jindal’s portrait are a stupid distraction
Beatlex
Ad–doesn’t Dinesh fulfill all of the repub requirements? Stupid, convicted criminal, and a “victim” of the government!
glenn
Beatlex – go right ahead. We’re just diverting from the serious. Pick up the thread.
choicelady
Beatlex – I mentioned Jindal’
sabreen60
It was because we were joking around.
sabreen60
Even I can get serious sometimes. sort of
Harleigh
Beatlex – it’s too hard to be serious ALL the time. I do public policy mobilization every day. It’s nice to be able to laugh now and then. But if you want a more serious thread, I’m fine and think the rest of us are too.
choicelady
Beatlex–what do you think of President Obama asking for authorization to fight ISIS?
glenn
Harleigh – I’ve been serious all week. So I can too.
sabreen60
glenn – Exactly. A convicted criminal who’s an adulterer and a sociopathic liar. Republican Presidents aren’t born, they’re corrupted all their lives into becoming one.
adlib 14 days ago
glenn – may I weigh in on PBO’s request?
choicelady
CL–Of course you can weigh in. This is an open disucssion, correct?
glenn
CL – You know but I don’t know about the others. So….on a serious note I don’t have cancer. My breast biopsy was negative. YEA!!!
sabreen60
Yahooo Sabreen!!!!
choicelady

Great news Sabreen!!
sillylittleme
That’s great news, Sabreen!!!
adlib 14 days ago
YAY sabreen!
Harleigh
Sabreen–that’s great news! You mentioned it last week, but I didn’t want to ask unless you mentioned it. HOORAY! Best news I’ve heard in a long time!
glenn
Thanks everyone. Nothing like peace of mind.
sabreen60
So, CL–what do you think of PBO’s request for AUMF? That is what its called, isn’t it?

So I will say about PBO that the request was, to me, historic. He made very clear that the intervention is to keep local forces supported but that the work of fighting ISIL is theirs. They are the ones with all the local knowledge and need to be the faces above the boots. When he said “enduring” that is what the media pounced on, but he’d made it VERY clear that we were NOT GOING IN as we’d done in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s not ours to fight. It is theirs. We can support them, but we cannot tell them what to do.

Then he bit three children on the face. Recently my sister foolishly gave my two youngest some dinosaur toys for Christmas. After telling her to get out of my house, I burnt the dinosaurs. Funk – It’s really sad but so true. No doubt these same EU asses who have forced austerity on Greece are licking their chops about carving up industries in Greece among themselves if they can devastate Greece financially for not abiding by their destructive plan.

Funk – Yes, it’s been proven so clearly since The Great Recession happened. The US responded with a stimulus program, the UK pursued an austerity program (as did many other EU nations). The US economy reversed the losses years ahead of the UK and other EU nations…the UK even suffered a kind of double dip recession. So, what better scientific experiment than applying different theories in an identical environment and proving that one of them, austerity, failed?

Funk – Absolutely, it is thanks to the EU and their austerity that the RWs and Nazis in Greece have risen and they could rise to power (as Marie Le Pen could in France) if those trying to reverse the austerity oppression of the masses don’t succeed.
