As fearsome as Y2K! More powerful than Avian Flu! Able to frighten people into wrapping plastic sheeting and duct tape around their entire families! It’s…it’s…Carmageddon!
Yes, this weekend a terrifying event of epic proportions has Los Angeles in its grip! Part of a freeway will be closed for a little while! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Please, give to those poor Angelenos who are enduring inhuman suffering this weekend, having to spend time with their families or eat at…local restaurants! Even braving the heartless and brutal roads that may have…traffic on them!!!
Contribute generously your songs about cars, driving and cities to this weekend’s music thread and maybe…just maybe…you may help some poor soul survive this cruel torture of humanity called “infrastructure repair”!!!

Hey, what can I say….I’m old!
This was my best friends favorite band in high school, listening to this I can just see the posters all over the walls in her room. Man o man that takes me back!
Yeah Patsy. It was a great cruising song. In my little hometown there wasn’t much to do other than bowling, movies and bars. While in high school we used to just drive around all night, and with 25 cents a gallon for gasoline. Ah, good times.
KT, man did I love these guys in high school. Favorite band for a couple of years.
Yeah, I must admit, I gave them countless listenings. Although, if I never heard “Smoke On The Water,” again, that would be OK with me. Kinda like Zepllin’s “Stairway To Heaven.” 😉
