This is what this post is all about – EARWORMS!
From Wikipedia: Earworm, a loan translation of the German Ohrwurm,[1] is a portion of a song or other music that repeats compulsively within one’s mind, known colloquially as “music being stuck in one’s head”.

For three days now, I have an earworm, which was planted into my ear by
Aura Dione – I Will Love You Monday
and which I am passing over to you now, too.
I hope, you enjoy it as much as I do!
What are YOUR most favorite earworms? Share them with us!
I mean: THANK GOD, IT’S FRIDAY!
Little lighter fare. Bound to be a classsic
Wow, Austin City Limits is celebrating their 35th year on the air this year!
Extra credit: who was the headliner on the first show?
The Texas Playboys, along with Asleep at the Wheel. 1976. I was there.
According to PBS, no. Close, think “honky-tonks.”
Oct. ’74
GAK!!! OK, I was in L-O-V-E and thought I was at the first taping – maybe it was the first of the season??? He’s long gone for lying anyways…..
How about Willie? Alvin Crow? Merle?
Kris? I can play ’em all day long. I’ll give.
“He’s long gone for lying” LOL
You got it Willie Nelson.

I think I had a 13″ B&W TV then and may have watched it about once a week then. Must have been quite the show to have been there at all.
I hear tell that the Avett Brothers just taped a week or so ago. I’ve been back and forth from Austin twice this weekend; I would have given my left nut, if I had one, to have seen the Avett Brothers.
I’ve been to several tapings – Gillian Welch, Robert Randolph, Alison Krauss. And let’s not forget the Wheel…..
Thanks, Bito – a stroll down memory lane (or what’s left of it).
Somebody needs to start cleaning, the furry ones have refused, so I guess that just leaves me.
See you later. Take care.
Option: Grow a fur yourself and leave the job to the two-legged can-openers… 😉
A tribute to Miles Davis who I had the pleasure of meeting at the “Ronnie Scott’s” club in London many years ago and of course the wonderful Chaka Chan, who sings her tribute to him.
A quote from MD.
Kewl that must have been awesome. MD is such a cool cat.
He was really nice, soft spoken and took time to chat to this 15 year old. I was there in the dressing room with my friend Blossom who was doing a week at the club.
Now back to good earworms. We played the shit out of this CD. It sucks they broke up after it.

Kool …
OK KQuark and Mo
Feel the pain….
😆 You just can’t listen to this without violently rocking your head from side to side.
LOL, I had better give it a miss then, I have spurs on my neck bones.
KQuark – I can counter you with a shocking example of another earworm-song, too:
Dragostea Din Tei – wait for the first 30 seconds to pass, before you start cringing:
(A tip: They sing in Romanian…)
That’s pretty bad but these are the worst two of all time.

Right Said Fred – I'm Too Sexy (1992)
Uploaded by jief75. – Music videos, artist interviews, concerts and more.
The second one may be the worst video of all time too.
I reluctantly agree… 😉
Aaaaah – sweet memories!
Rod Steward – Sailing:

First love!
Sigh…
I hate to admit it but I love Christopher Cross’ voice.
Me too… (All of it…)
OK my ONE example of a song you hate that tends to get stuck in your head.
Hahahahahah!
I love it! 😎
Dogs !! I just knew it from the pic ! Epic in your head song.
I get that with this one.
YESSSS! 🙂
Oh no! I can’t stop singing it now.
LOL, me neither, I sing it whenever I’m cooking, makes hubby howl.
This song was stuck in my brain for a month. Just one of those catchy hooks that stay with you. Amel Larrieux was great in Group Theory as well.
After hearing my middle daughters music all through the house,
This is what get stuck in my head …
Oh God that is catchy tune.
Who the fuck is Alice?
(No vids, only sound – relax and be patient…) 😉
Who the fock cares! 🙂
😆 great pick. I hope I just don’t parrot this song in public.
ROFL! 😉
Don’t let us keep you, KQuark!
Singing this last week, the cats fled upstairs.
Wonderful song!
I love it!
Good morning Kalima, Bright and sunny day in Tokyo today. Two people were front of “the Store” (webcam) waving. Must have been you–Hey, your good looking, girl!
LOL! I’ve hardly moved from my spot on the sofa, maybe it was my sister?
Hope that you are having a good day bitohistory.
Love CBR she’s my girl.
Sings like an angel.
I think Kalima will love this one from Moloko.
Thanks KQ. Reminded me of the “Snuggies” I’ve just bought for winter. 🙂
You’re gonna hate me for this, but…yummy yummy yummy
Awwwww, NOOOOOOOH!

Mogs-meister maestro! Wie gehts?
Hi, Questinia!
Actually, I am only grateful to who-/whatever created me, that it’s Friday and this workweek is over for good for me.
It’s been a long time since I was wrought out so much as I am today. But the auspices are good. Tomorrow will be a day of rest, and on Sunday we will have a big family-meeting with piles of cake and lakes of coffee! 😉 And what about yourself?
Dreaming of eating the center of a large piece of cake, turning it into a canoe and rowing on a lake of coffee using two sugar spoons. Of course, I’ll sink but that’s when I simply drink the lake.
That’s how I’m doing!
