Santa will soon be on his way and whether you have a white Christmas or not, there’s no denying that winter is here (except if you’re in Australia, shout out to pinkpantheroz and Fergie1). So this weekend’s music thread is dedicated to the seasons, songs about ice and snow, sun and warmth, wind and rain and all that the seasons bring.

It’s the season for seasons so rain down your favorite songs about the snowy and sunny times of the year!

Many thanks for the shout out AdLib! Yes, just not Christmas in the Summer time in Australia! We miss our Northern Hemisphere Christmases big time.
Kalima got me though it one year with her lovely messages.

Hi, Fergie -- My older daughter can relate to having “summer” for Christmas, she and her husband live in San Diego! She has shown me pictures of palm trees decorated with Christmas lights, it is in the 70’s there! They are coming home on the 20th to visit us for the holidays -- we already have four inches of snow. :) She has been there for ten years and still misses a winter season.

We always bring a winter coat for her when we pick her up at the airport -- it is much colder here in western PA! We have had lows down to 14 F. I am planning for a ham dinner with scalloped potatoes for Christmas day and have everything for that, still have to do some shopping for gifts yet. -- Thinking of you and DH, perhaps I could send an overnight express package of snow that would arrive there in time without melting. 😉 Take care.

Hi Aquarius -- good to hear from you. I know that San Diego is a lot warmer than San Francisco. It always seemed perfect in SF for Christmas. Do you think I miss it?! :)
Well it’s going to be 92 F here on Monday and 97 F on Tuesday! Yuk.
How lovely that your daughter will be with you for Christmas. Wish we could be with our cousins in Gibsonia, or Boston or nephew in Buffalo……brrrr…..Lake Effect! Or dear friends in SF. Lots of choices but no can do.

We are having cold ham as well and cold potato stuffing.

Ha ha ….overnight not melting package of snow -- love it!
I hope that you and all the Family have a joyous Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Thank you for your lovely messages.

        You take care also…..Fergie
