Kev, I think that we will have to do something about your hair style if you want to leave an impression. 🙂

Kev just woke up and can’t find his pants. 😆

LOL..perhaps if he’d wear them once and a while, they’d be easier to locate.

I think we should pass you message on but I can’t see it making much of a difference. 🙂

Or we could even pass “your” message on.

I hope you not pissed at the image I put up one the post though. 😉

Kev I searched “huffno fridays” for a graphic idea and your post came up #1 on Google.

I think we should come up with a different name since it’s already been used though.

I made this graphic when the planet opened. I like the graphic but not the saying. Maybe we can call it “Friday Night Rock the Planet” or something like that.

I would have to say more than 50% of my posts either never get through moderation or are scrubbed so I haven’t been posting that much at HP. I’m convinced if a moderator sees certain id’s they don’t even consider posting it anymore. Face it if you are not constantly kissing Aryannas’ and other select Huffy geniuses’ asses you are seen as hostile.

The difference I’ve noticed at HuffPost, and I’ve been posting there off and on for years, is that this summer, it appeared a number of trolls showed up with the expressed desire to just get people worked up, get them to say something angry, and then get them mad. It’s just so obvious that it’s nothing more than a game to some of these people. HuffPost allows them to get away with it. I guess they have a reason to think it adds clicks.
Then again, I’ve seen people who probably ought to know better continue responding to these nuts.

Huffy does a pretty good job of getting people worked up as well.

I’ve only been at HuffPo about a year. I’m in health care, so when that became a serious issue in congress, I got addicted to following the whole thing on HuffPo. Spent an appalling (embarrassing) amount of time there on some days.It was compelling to watch the debate unfold in “real time.” But, like many, I noticed a change in the way things were operating over the summer. The site became more and more Arianna-centric and the censorship was increasingly inconsistent and maddening.
It was actually easier to cope with posters like Flossy or Andrea C. than the powers-that-be at HP. At least with Flossy and AC, you knew where they were coming from. With Arianna…not so much.

They appear to have banned the posting of the url here. I have now twice had my comment scrubbed and it only contained the link. Weird. Or maybe not.

This was actually meant to be in reply to AdLib.

Thanks nicole473, I noticed that too though I’m not surprised. They censor all strong criticism of HuffPo on the site, I assumed it would only be a matter of time until they banned links to PlanetPOV.

Actually, I take that as quite an affirming compliment, they must be quite intimidated to do so. Made my day!

In the future, just leave a space in the “planetpov” portion of the link and note to readers to copy and paste the address and just take out the space.

Okay, thanks, AdLib. That didn’t occur to me.

It irritates the hell out of me that they allow links to places like stormfront and foxnation, and yet ban a link to a site such as this simply because Arianna doesn’t like criticism.

And you’re right. I would see it as a compliment. 🙂

They should pay you for posting there. They’re probably wanting the drama.

Problem is, there is a new population at Hufferooni. When we started FRT, we were the stable of Hufferoosters who made up the majority of posters.

But we can still try.

However, I’m VERY tempted to initiate POV-NO weekdays after Adlib said he’d fan me, but didn’t…. wait,… do I smell French perfume?

That’s the whole point, all these people are investing their time and energy writing at the site which is what I think primarily drives the traffic there…and those same people whose FREE contributions are putting money in HuffPo’s pocket are censored, banned, manipulated and flat out lied to through false headlines and articles (not all articles, just some).

Again, they greedily suck up everyone’s free contributions and cash them in for money. One would think the least they could do is treat their membership with a modicum of respect.

That’s why I compare who and what they are to the Dem party especially in the 80’s and 90’s. Taking your constituency for granted after they put you in a position of power and wealth is a betrayal. Selling them out for profit and personal celebrity is a bad deal for those faithful they view as “suckers”.

And allowing them to help lead a progressive movement is a sure ticket to political losses and further betrayals.

You are right, there was a big turnover when the more rooted HuffPo folk jumped ship after getting fed up with the control over expression over there.

My POV (the plug is totally intentional) is that history will repeat itself and the current regulars at Huffy will eventually get just as fed up.

So a HuffNo Friday could build steam and inspire more folks from there to join us here.

Hey, my screen said I was already a fan of yours! Are you just trying to get more promises of perfume that will be glibly rationalized away by me?

I like the way you think, Adlib: The Big Picture. You’re right there will soon be a new harvest of the disgruntled.

Just say YES! To Huff-no Fridays

It didn’t show up on my screen, and you KNOW what a “fan catch” I think you are! French perfume or not.

I think liberals were scrambling so much in this country in the 80’s and 90’s that they accepted too many conservative ideas like welfare reform. Democrats should have changed their political tactics instead of modifying some principles. That being said the only way to start recovering politically for Democrats on some fronts was to become the big tent party.

Happy to do so, why don’t you create a new sock at Huff so we can promote it next Thursday, suggesting to members there that they come over here instead for a totally uncensored, free speech Friday Night chat?

Other members here are invited and welcome to join us next Thursday at HuffPo to do the inviting.

Hi, AdLib,
What do we have to do to join in next Thursday and are new members here welcome to take part in the inviting on HP? What a hoot!

I’m in. I have a sock I can use. WOOHOO…….time to get even (at least a little, lol)!

I’ll be willing to do whatever I can. I think I’m about to get banned anyway, so I might as well go out swingin’ both fists.

Even though I try to keep my comments pretty civil on HP, I think I’ve ruffled some feathers with the comments that never made it through, so I’m going to pending almost 100% of the time and about 1/3 of my comments never make it.
