I did chair our local Green Party chapter, but I just don’t have the kind of personality it takes for a public fight or raising money or doing a lot of glad handing. I have posted so many comments on this site that never get a response. I don’t take that to mean people aren’t interested or aren’t reading what I write. If you check the threads, you’ll see that a lot of comments don’t get responses. I’ve posted whole articles that only get one or two responses, but people have mentioned them later. So don’t feel ignored. The caller also complained about her comments being deleted whenever she posted any strong criticism of the right wing. She used the word “infiltrated” to describe the HP moderating staff — and Hartmann supported her assertion with a story about someone who had posted to his site and had admitted to being paid to post by a right wing organization. This might be a good project for POV. I agree w you wholeheartedly. I know that I’ve emailed Thom Hartmann, Schultz, Press, Miller about the whiny negative tone that they sometimes fall into — and how this only serves to demoralize the progressive base and lower turnout at elections. I think that’s an ongoing email theme to progressive commentators. Hartmann has had an epiphany in terms of tone — his show has become much more positive and activist in tone. It’s great. Like it used to be when Bush was in office. Miller is getting better, but they can get very whiny on that show. They don’t know enough, for one thing. They’re not informed like Hartmann and Rhodes. Randi is never negative, although she freely criticizes the president when she disagrees with him. She strikes a really good balance. So don’t feel slighted if they don’t write back. They literally get thousands upon thousands of emails. They don’t respond to most of them.
