binLaden was their Castro, or Cold war Russia.
Many never knew a world without terror alerts, or Homeland Security scaring the devil out of everyone on a regular basis; so to them it was a ‘victory.’

Conquest and conflict is the irrefutable history of civilization.
Perhaps the best we can hope for is that we will break this cycle.

I think it was Cheney. Cheney is an evil, cunning man with a lot to gain via his ‘contractors’. He used Bush as a pawn. Bush was every bit the D student he was so proud to be and Cheney played him like a fiddle.
Cheney Knew BinLadin was only useful to them alive- as the Ultimate Bogey Man/ Fear factor. The whole ‘War on Terror’ was to lay claim to the oil in Iraq, and the wealth of minerals in Afghanistan. Bush was in oil, so he spoke lite sweet crude; Chaney was into anything else he could capitalize on. He could squeeze into any crack in any organization/corporation with the political clout he had.
Not insignificant that Cheney ended up with a mechanical heart! Karma.

I am SO frustrated by the young people being massacred by their own leadership, and their wisdom in the face of such cruelty.
Khirad’s notes today brought me to tears, and by the time I was finished, I was sobbing..(And I Don’t cry!)
Years ago, when a friend was dying of AIDS, I met a Junior Executive from IBM, dying also; I said to him- this damn disease is stealing our best and brightest.
Now Governments are doing it..
What the Hell- these kids are our Future..
