Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

You won’t believe it AdLib..the very first intra-dimensionals I met asked me to take them to the man with the exploding head.
I was about to bring them to you, but something about them threw me off. They were all wearing blue blazers with an AH insignia on the breast pocket and had that glazed, lost look like the first group that left for Jones town years back and they kept talking about this thing called Halle Bop…whatever that means. Well, they might have been Scientologists I can’t say…at any rate, I said I’d pick them up later, I was going behind the time space warp for a minute to relieve myself but they got so full of giggles and pointing and everything that I was getting insecure so I had to split.
Maybe next time.

Nite ever’body.I got a big day tomorrow. I’ll be testing out a man made event horizon that I’ve built in my basement. If I happen to run across any sentient, intelligent life forms on the other side, I’ll be sure ask them to stop by PPOV and tell us if there’s really any life beyond American politics and the social struggles back here on earth.
It appears one has to breach the membranes between two completely dissociated dimensions in order to seek out and find a collective of such an alien nature, but it’s worth it. It’s science after all.
I gotta do this for Mom and Pa and Apple pie.
Wish me the best or enough fuel to keep me perpetually drifting outward until I locate them…
Then I will proudly produce the American flag and claim that their land is mine, provided they have an atmosphere that supports our level of life form. Wish me luck!

Not enough.
I still think there’s more validity to single payer or straight up universal health care, 50.
Anything else is just tweaking a system that doesn’t work to begin with.
Too many loop holes.
But being where we are with this, this is where we are and your point is well made and well taken.

I never took much stock in either of them.
And to this day I never dance in public.
I have created many happy people by keeping vigilant about that…and they don’t even know it.
If you think Elaine was bad in that episode of Seinfeld…I can make her look like Ginger Rogers!

@Adonai…I remember a favorite cartoon strip of mine where this cat gets the mouse and let’s it go..gets the mouse again and lets it go…gets the mouse and lets it go again. In the last frame, Garfield turns to the reader and says “It’s the getting, not the having.”
I think our dreams or destinations can be a lot like that at times.

KT, I share and commend your ideals.
Unfortunately, it appears no one has convinced reality to do likewise.
The added attraction of capital gain and prolonged employment…(indefinitely)doesn’t help reality and human nature to do otherwise. And that’s regardless of which party in any country.
But I’ll keep hoping along with you that I live to see all that change.

Holy Schnoikey, Textlib; look what happened to the music biz after the 70’s when everybody stopped getting a little buzz before going into the studio.
A little performance enhancement can be a good thing.
I for one can’t see the problem with it. It’s not like someone doing it in a game is operating farm equipment or driving on the freeway.

Sometimes it’s better to recognize them as such when you can’t overcome them and move on toward playing to your strengths.
There’s only so much time to achieve an infinite amount of dreams.

I’m not sure whether you’re being tongue in cheek here or not, 2CCP.
But the problem solving, mechanics and applied physics involved with putting a trebuchette together and make it work properly is a cry and away from any theoretical core study public schools focus on.
I’ve been in classrooms where this instruction was carried out. Of course the kids I watched had to make them out of stuff they could find and adapt to the project themselves, but…
I never saw more interested and involved kids in a class, before or since.
Whether this “start up” is using this for incentive or to simply create a little black ink for themselves (as in their ledgers)….well, who can say what motivates people.

I agree, Adonai.
It, (Afghanistan) like all aggressive military deployments since Nam have been in fact, “Police Actions”, regardless of what they may have been announced to be for support or propaganda.
I do notice that the size of the baton has grown exponentially in comparison to some of the earlier deployments.
And, hey…perhaps you may not agree with my assessment. And that’s OK too. Just wanted to answer your “agree/disagree”.
Based on what you’ve written above while I may have an opinion(s) on other layers of that onion, I agree wholeheartedly.

Y’know A50…if we’re going to make this a political party thing…perhaps the next party to join the fray could be liberal and rather than the elephant, jack ass or teabag as mascot or insignia we could go with a dolphin!
A much better archetype for a progressive party than these other stalwarts gather under.
Now…I just have to find out where to sign up for that.
