Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

Well, bito, while it’s true that nothing is absolutely good or absolutely evil…I’m still holding a grudge held over by many since 1913 and beyond that privatizing our treasury was a colossal mistake for America which appears to be coming home to roost, right about now.
Just can’t see how something so wrong in its very conception, could ever do or say anything afterward that could possibly be right.
Sure it’s a pig headed stand to take.
But life only affords me a few guilty pleasures. And this is one of them.

Buddy, the new term for that is corporatocracy. Used to describes a government dominated by corporate influence and banking interests.
[Used in a sentence] Democracy is dead. Long live the corporatocracy.
See also plutocracy and oligarchy. Different poitical afflictions which inflict the same resultant pain.

Then we can come back to an un-infested planet…except the same people would still be on the Hill, so it would get all mucked up again in due course.

It’s good to see the people begin to deliver some solid hits to the failed logic we have been spoon fed now for so long. LEt’s put an end to being patted on the head and dismissed like small children by the people who are suppose to represent us yet when pressed for answers can not tell us how or why.

I just don’t get it, kes.
It defies logic in a health matter to give detached bureaucrats the override on medical professionals involved with a particular patients care. Not even for an aspirin and certainly not for matters involving more advanced medicines and techniques!

Anyone who has ever had their health insurance over ride their doctor’s advice and/or written prescription by simply saying “this does not meet our current coverage obligation”…can tell you that very real “death panels” do exist.
While my needs are fortunately not a matter of life or death, I was blown away when my well schooled and practiced doctor was simply told “no” by a bunch of health insurance administrators (not qualified to empty a bed pan!) this week what he could and could not prescribe for his patients.
And there was nothing that he or anyone could do about it to reverse their decision.
So the next time, someone tells you that all this talk of equitable health care is a leftist plot and it’s going to lead to ‘death panels”, you tell them that for all intent and purpose they already exist and they have been a long time and due to a bipartisan effort in the making.

It can’t happen here?
I just picked up on this as I was ambling around looking for something other than AP news to chew on.
I had never heard of this and certainly not in the course of my public school eduction, but considering the Wisconsin conflict I think I now have an idea as to what’s at stake when big money’s involved. I tried to run the v switch onthis but it wouldn’t allow the viddie to play here.

I love how they state that Manning’s “condition” may have been cause for the move and 4 volleys of questions later it all sounded like they were moving him to a better facility because it was more country club-ish in nature.
So we went from the initial announcement as to his personal condition to no real reason but his comfort.
I can hear these guys in the debriefing…”Man, we almost blew that one!”

PatsyT, I don’t think that ghosts (especially TV show ghosts) are any more aware (cognoscente) of life on this frequency than we are of the life within the frequencies they dwell.
I do believe there are moments when a certain amount of phase shifting occurs and in those moments there’s a brief intermingling of the frequency that creates a harmonic that entities on both sides can experience to a degree, but all in all these two realms are such that they are not physically intended to share space and time concurrently.
(OK…now everybody go “Woo Woo!”) 🙂

Kalima, I can’t help feeling there’s something more that you are trying to say here than simply what you’ve written. Speak freely if that’s the case.
I do see a difference… But only in the rhetoric.
Much like the dialog in a good cop/bad cop routine.
Both approach a given situation from diametrically opposed perspectives and style of delivery.
The acquired goal however when achieved can best be identified as common ground and was only that all along.
Unfortunately the people deserve more than that from a limited field of representation if they are to truly be represented at all.

Hollywood too is a corporate appendage. Has been since it became the industry it is. As such, Atlas Shrugged, which is in production now is expected to come in at approx. $15 mill to bring it to the theaters.
It doesn’t require super human deductive powers to conclude where the money is coming from or the convenient release date…which has yet to be set. (Me thinks it will be close enough to election time 😉 )
Hollywood isn’t about the cinema-graphic arts or acting much any more. And anyone who thinks it is after growing up with Disney has popcorn in their ears.
While an avid movie buff, I still try to be careful with what I come out of a theater with these days, even subliminally… and who actually profits monetarily or politically from the tickets I purchase.

audadnc, not all PPOV readers (or comment writers) see that much of a vast difference between the two parties beyond rhetoric…nor do they aspire to simply for the promise of limited popularity.
Whether America wins or loses has no effect on those in Congress or their respective national party headquarters regardless of the affiliation. It’s win-win for them and the chaos only helps in that joint cause.
I can’t speak in unison with the universal mind or the whole of PPOV’s participants. I can only express myself.
I have no gauge to measure anyone’s ability to connect with what I say and as a result, I certainly can neither exalt myself or fall into depression because of whatever my connect ratio is.

Didn’t even know it was an RNC ad, audadvnc. It’s just a poignant piece of video in and of itself. I must have blown right past it’s source. I have filters.
One never knows which rock you turn over that may hold a gem of truth underneath it.
I’m certainly not advocating support for whatever cause put it out there.
For me the message itself is what rings true.
