In Remembrance of KQuark

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved him, especially to his family.

I did not know him, but I certainly remember reading many of his posts at HP and here. He was one of those posters who make it worthwhile to go online. His comments always shone with intelligence, wit and deep love for his fellow humans.

Hugs to his cyber family. This must be a difficult time for you.

A Brief History of Islam, Part 1: Pre-Islamic Arabia – The Death of the Prophet

Great article.
I have a few cyber-friends who are Muslim, which prompted me to read up a bit on Islam. I learned a bit more by reading this.

Eye For An Eye: A History of the Death Penalty

Outstanding article, Adonai.
We don’t have the death penalty here in Canada.

An HP Moderator Replies

Thank you for your kind welcome, AdLib.

To me, that blog was the last straw. Typical corporate attitude: condescending, clueless of reality on the ground, and oh so puffed up full of himself.

Thank you kindly, zoot.
Yes, it read like a farce, except he was actually serious!

Very nice place. What a pleasant surprise to see so many of my favorite former HuffPost posters.

Re: Jason Linkin’s article “How Huffington Post Works.”
I was surprised my comment made it through at HP, but it did as follows:

“Thank you Bwana! Thank you for taking time out of your busy, important life to explain things to us!
I can only pray to some day be half as smart and important as you. Anyway, don’t worry about me! I hardly ever come here any more.

I’ll see you again when monkeys fly out of the lower portion of my intestinal tract!”
