Time Out for OT – Vol 7

repeat…has anyone heard from bito? It’s 10:28 EDT and I know he is 2 hours behind me. A flag, a wave, a “I’m home but going to sleep?” 8 hours should’ve ended a couple of hours ago…no?

» Posted By boomer1949 On April 1, 2010 @ 7:30 pm

Oh, I’ll be here from home, just not from work, heh πŸ™‚

*edit* sound like a Dallas, Thornbirds, or (gasp) a Susan Lucci soap opera πŸ˜†

» Posted By boomer1949 On April 1, 2010 @ 6:56 pm

cher,

It’s only Thursday, but I’m off tomorrow. One would think this is Vox Populi via Merlot night. Sorry for the soapbox mini-event. πŸ™‚

*edit* but damn I sound good πŸ˜†

What a crock of shit – and I won’t even try to disguise it behind crap. Would someone please explain to me why these Yahoos have been given the proverbial “settlement pass?”

Our taxpayer dollars are paying these A$$Holes and we must sit on the sidelines while the wheel & deal contract negotiators “work things out?” Sorry lame and limp (no pun intended BT) excuse — and this is no reference to earlier Boner jokes.

Any contractor (and I worked for one for 6.5 years in a previous life) needs to be, and should be, held accountable to the laws of THIS land, the United States of America. I don’t care whether the contractor is in Iraq, Afghanistan, the United States, or the South Freakin’ Pole – under contract with the USA – regardless of your location – you’re REQUIRED to operate as if you are on American Soil, thus subject to all Constitutional Law. Sign a contract? Receive tax payer dollars for your services? Then toe the line, earn it, and don’t try to screw those of us paying your salaries. If you can’t control your employees, DON’T bother to submit a proposal. Not being responsible for following the laws and rules is unacceptable to the way this country operates. Earning it doesn’t mean harassing or raping female employees.

It means y’all must answer to someone and if Congress isn’t going to ride your A$$, the rest of us will.

Lise,

Okay, and I’m definitely NOT one of our most eloquent posters, yet I do remember folks from “across the street.” It’s made my day to see LL and Q here over the last couple of days.

Welcome, and I invite you to hang out for awhile — if for nothing else but to hear from PPOV’s direct link to the God guy. πŸ™‚ We are truly blessed — we’ve been chosen. πŸ™‚

Where in the Hell do these people get their information? I filled out my Census form and the damn thing DID NOT ask how many times I flushed the freakin’ loo. Didn’t even ask my name (of course I’m sure the rest of you know this as well). Took a couple of minutes (if that long) to complete.

Didn’t even ask if I owned an Uzi (WHICH I DON’T) OR if I hung out with Boner in public (which I DON’T — PRIVATE EITHER). πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜† Rumors are untrue folks, rumors are untrue. Ewwww, just the thought. Ewwww!

JesusMaria&Jose — for God’s sake what the Hell is wrong with these people?

This is so cool and the reason I haven’t done much at work this week. I hear they’re going to name the one chosen to wear the transmitter…I think it should be Colbert. πŸ˜†

Time Out for OT – Vol 6

javaz,

Did this last year…after today…it’s a piece of cake. I was scared “shitless” — pun intended πŸ˜€ Best part is you get a nap and you don’t remember a darn thing.

Now when I had to have the Endoscopy, that’s one test I really don’t want to do again any time soon.

Actually had both done within 2 weeks of each other. Two things I can cross off the “to do” list for at least 5-10 years I hope.

I’ve not seen her around for awhile. Last week maybe or the week before?

Done!

bito,

Have they tried to do the same with pre-marital counseling with the same requirements? You know…

AVOID DIVORCE!

kes & cher,

Yet she was/is required by law (at the risk of losing her teaching license) to report anything suspicious. Of course reporting becomes moot if the courts continually return these kids to their biological parents. I do know, that for a period of time, the little guy and his siblings were in foster care. Jeeze…guess what happened? They flourished — sleep, clean clothes, decent meals, and feeling secure. All of their grades improved and these kids were happy — actually happy. Yet, and in spite of the positive results, all of them were returned to the parents. Guess what? Nothing in the home has changed, except all of the kids are more self-sufficient because they’re older.

It’s been 2/4 years and my daughter, the Kindergarten teacher, is still concerned for the little guy who was in her class just a few years ago.

Sue,

He’ll lobby for tanning booths!

» Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2010 @ 6:37 pm

kes,

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but a couple of years ago, my daughter the Kindergarten teacher, had a 5 year old in her class. This little guy had an 11 year old bro responsible for 6/7 kids every freakin’ morning; as in wake up, dress, feed, put on the bus…the whole nine yards and then some. Why? Because the parents were too drugged up to function and passed out in the bed. My kid had anxiety attacks and the parents got the kids back. What’s wrong with the system?

Local/State Review and Evaluation of Congressman John Boehner’s participation in the HCR debates before President Obama signing it into the Law of the land…the man shouldn’t be allowed to hide behind the tan: from the Columbus OH Dispatch Sunday March 28, 2010 by Jack Torry:

WASHINGTON – It was difficult last week to ignore House Minority Leader John Boehner of West Chester.

His fiery speech last Sunday night in opposition to the health-care overhaul, in which he twice shouted “Hell no,” was prominently featured on the national TV news and attracted more than 100,000 hits on YouTube.

He quipped that Democratic Rep. Steve Driehaus of Cincinnati was a “dead man” with anti-abortion voters in his district who fear that the health bill could allow federal dollars to be used to pay for abortions. That prompted Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern to accuse Boehner of “fanning the flames of hatred.”

And he drew the attention of President Barack Obama, who on Thursday in Iowa chided Boehner for describing the House bill as “Armageddon,” joking that after he signed the bill, he “looked around to see if there (were) any asteroids falling or some cracks opening up in the Earth. It turned out it was a nice day.”

For better or worse, Boehner – in the words of one Republican staffer – had “firmly positioned himself as the leader of the Republican Party.” But he might have done so at a steep price: turning off the independent voters Republicans need to win the House in November and make Boehner the first speaker from Ohio since 1931.

“Not his best work,” said Jennifer Palmieri, a political analyst at the Democratic-leaning Center for American Progress in Washington. “That was clearly not a threat against Driehaus, but in the context where there are real threats against members of Congress, it seemed like a really poor choice of words.”

Peter Fenn, a Democratic consultant in Washington, said Boehner’s performance throughout the week appealed to the most right-wing voters, saying that “someone has to stand up to the loony tunes instead of encouraging them. Boehner has encouraged them.”

Hi bito,

How goes it?

Silly and insensitive sounding question, but sincere nonetheless. I know you went through another day most of the rest of us can’t begin to imagine, but God bless you for your fortitude. I may not chime in as often as some of the others, but please be assured I keep you in my thoughts and prayers every, absolutely every day of the week. 24/7 my dear, 24/7. πŸ™‚

» Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2010 @ 5:42 pm

and little pink men would be referring to the men or what’s in the pocket?

» Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2010 @ 5:35 pm

OMG…Boehner must be spinnin’ and he hasn’t even taken his last breath πŸ˜† When will these Yahoos get a freakin’ clue? They’re no longer dealin’ with my daddy’s generation for Dog’s sake!

» Posted By boomer1949 On March 30, 2010 @ 5:33 pm

I know, I’ve flagged it a dozen times. Thing is, if you read the stuff I just posted about him, take a look at his “Send a Rope” channel on YouTube, and look at his affiliations, he really should be on someone’s list.

For cher and anyone else who wants to continue to raise a stink with YouTube about the Tea Party Militia Guy video bito brought to our attention last week. The SPLC replied and forwarded my email on to their Intelligence Project. I’ve not heard from the FBI. I was kind of hoping this Yahoo got rounded up in the recent round up, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be that easy. πŸ‘Ώ

Hasn’t he left the country? He did say he was going to if HCR passed — what’s keeping him?
