k’es, Sally, Murph, I really do wonder about the proffer Iran presents, haven’t they done this or something similar in one way or another many times before only to renege on it or parts of it? If I remember that even under Bush that there was once a offer that had Russia involved in the transfer of enriched for non-enriched.

One thing we are all in agreement I’m sure that it is better to have PBO in charge than the Bush/Cheney neo-cons that are Mitt’s foreign policy staff in charge.

Sue and k’es, I was alerted to this dirty trick by a few followers on twitter who happened to be fed up black Americans. Why are they fed up, because of some of these election dirty tricks by republicans aimed at them that treat them like bloody idiots. The idiots are the R’s doing it.

Kalima, not am I just polled out, I am confused on the citing of the polls. The poll I mentioned above is a NBC sponsored poll showing that The President having a 6 point lead in Ohio, which is great, no? I thought wow, this will really change the tone of the talkers and pudnuts, a 6 point lead in a major swing state.
But to my surprise the next time I heard the mention of a poll they used a completely different poll showing that they are tied in Ohio, they didn’t even use their own poll because they had to keep up the illusion of the horse race.

They should announce before every show “This Show is not Based on Actual Facts and is Presented for Entertainment Purposes Only.

Yep, that’s right, she and President Obama are great buds and their politics are one and the same except for a couple of things

along with her husband, has given $150,000 to help make Romney the next president of the United States….

The McMahon campaign says she’s still backing Romney…..

…polls showing McMahon trailing Democratic candidate Chris Murphy heading into Tuesday — and also showing Connecticut remains a very blue state….

….in addition to her huge donation to the Romney cause, McMahon personally endorsed Romney last year…..

McMahon’s campaign says she’s still on Team Romney.

“Linda McMahon enthusiastically supports Governor Romney for president,” McMahon campaign spokesperson Todd Abrajano told TPM.

And where are these door hangers being found? All over the state?
Democrats say they’ve discovered them in minority neighborhoods.

Along with Romney’s “vote for me because Lincoln freed the slaves” ad, it’s just another example of treating minorities, blacks as idiots. How insulting. They think it will work, I guess, the only thing I do know it insulted some of the AA people that follow the Planet.

KT, Of course there can be more polling sites and more machines (go back to the paper ballot)and that is the shame of it because the shortage has to be intentionally done, it’s no accident. They can also add more early voting days push and push for more mail in balloting, but they don’t — they do the opposite.

I doubt you will have any problems voting KT, they like to suppress urban and University/student areas, ya know, the one that usually vote Dem.

If my memory is working at all, wasn’t it when your SoS was Blackwell(?) and he shorted just those same ares with polls, and polling machines a few years ago? Urban and student areas?

President Obama is leading Mitt Romney in the two biggest swing states following his well-received handling of Hurricane Sandy, according to polls from Florida and Ohio conducted by NBC News/The Wall Street Journal/Marist.

Among likely voters, Obama leads Romney 49 percent to 47 percent in Florida and 51 percent to 45 percent in Ohio. The president’s 2-percentage-point lead in Florida falls within that sample’s margin of error, while the 6-point lead in Ohio is large enough to be statistically significant.

There’s been a lot of talk about the ground game and who has the advantage. UP with Chris Hays had quite a bit on this and no matter what the MSM or the R’s tell you the Obama camp has a clear advantage.

There is another segment showing the advantage of one-on-one contacts with voters and with more field offices you get more of those contacts. Mitt uses a great deal of robo calls which is the least effective. Even when Obama uses phone banks, they are more often than not done by real people, the most effective of phone banking.

Today’s show was quite good and worth a watch.

Kalima, That is so true, we do have to remember his words from his last victory night. Little did we know that the Republicans were planning all out war on him and the rest of the country be damned. Just think how much he could have accomplished with the smallest bit of cooperation.

And realize that there is absolutely no reason for this to happen anywhere at anytime at any election in the US. There is only one reason that there are lines this long. Someone doesn’t want some people to vote. And this isn’t the first time this has happened in Ohio, they seem to have it down to an art. Shame on them! Shame on Florida. Shame on any state that is part of this!

KQ, The Ryan pick ended up being a real non pick it seems, at first it appeared they picked him because of his TParty budget until someone read it and he started to talk about it, then he was suddenly “vanished.”
People need to remember that the Ryan budget is the Romney budget and the house budget. It didn’t go away and it is draconian!

An email message mistakenly sent to Newt Gingrich’s newsletter list serve Thursday morning told subscribers that President Obama would no doubt win in 2012 and that they should be more worried about Obama’s winning in 2016.

That’s right, despite the 22nd Amendment, which limits any one person to two presidential terms, the email that went out to Gingrich’s readers suggests President Obama would be running again in 2016, and possibly serve through 2020.

But then Isaw somthing that made me think tha this was just another Newt scam to bilk out some Money from his supporters bu gearing up for 2016. The Man doesn’t quit.

“It was actually scheduled to run on another of our lists,” Guerriero said. His team has been investigating how the Stansberry message went out to the Gingrich group.

Kalima, When the Bain story was first starting there was one thing that helped me “turn” peoples support to Obama/away from Romney and that was stories like that one. The easiest way was telling people that Romney stole peoples retirements, put it in his pocket and sent the bill to the government.
Working people don’t like their pensions messed with, especially by other people. I wish some of that story was still being used some how someway.

International Vote Monitors Warn Texas: Don’t Mess With Us

I’m not sure who’s warning who and who’s did started the shoving match but it looks like a showdown to me.

VIENNA/AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) – International election monitors took a dim view on Wednesday of Texas’ threat to prosecute them if they observe voting in the state a bit too closely on November 6.

The exchange pitted the Vienna-based human rights watchdog Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe against Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who warned the OSCE not to interfere with polling in state elections.

“The threat of criminal sanctions against OSCE/ODIHR observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarcic, director of the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) monitoring arm, said in a statement.

And what is GOP/Texas code for voter suppression? Voter integrity, is that it?

Abbott is skeptical about why the group wants to look at elections in Texas.

“Our concern is that this isn’t some benign observation but something intended to be far more prying and maybe even an attempt to suppress voter integrity,” he said.

Why shouldn’t Nate Silver take a shot? He was right in 2008 on every poll but one and that was because Indiana went for Obama! I don’t think anyone predicted that one right let alone Nate Silver.
Today (?) Romney is campaigning in Penn. thinking he has a chance there. Since some in the media give Mitt a slight chance and Silver gives him a 6% chance, you know someone’s doing it for entertainment.
