They lost House seats, they lost Senate Seats, they picked up only one Governor’s seat and (woo-hoo)they lost the Presidency. So would you vote him back in the chair? It looks lie the R’s are saying yes and the only push to replace him seems to be coming from the Paul’s camp. The observation: Money. Mitt and the RNC had more money almost at every point of the campaign. The Obama campaign spent money early defining Mitt and was heavily criticized, they kept spending and while not the main focus, they continued defining Mitt (meanwhile Mitt and the RNC had more money) and at the end PBO’s camp again blitzed with more money. Almost the whole time the RNC and Mitt had more money yet failed to spend it and relied on Super-Pac money. At the end of the campaign, Mitt and the RNC ended up with more cash in hand, and I have know idea what they were waiting for, the only thing I can conclude is that they REALLY did believe in their internal poll numbers, and believed that the Super-Pacs were going to dump some real dirt on PBO at the end–which they failed to deliver. So in the end it came down to the Obama campaign didn’t follow the script, the usual way to spend nor what way to spend it on and won. They bent the mold on spending money in this very first CU presidential campaign. They spent wisely and as for what Mitt, Rove and the RNC did, hell if I know where they went wrong up and down their whole ticket.
